Break Stuff is a room where controlled chaos is contained, where you let out your rage, anger, frustration of everyday life. You can buy different packages in terms of the amount of stuff to break and the amount of time you want to spend in there. I purchased the $155/30 mins ALL YOU CAN BREAK package which included 4 boxes of bottles and 4 electronics. We were given gloves and face shield beforehand. Once we got into the room, the lights dim and flashes different colors. We get a speaker that you can connect whatever music you want. I recommend songs you can RAGE to. We played the metal band Asesino and it was perfect and oh so angry! I only saw 1 crate of bottles versus 4 boxes as they stated on the website (but maybe they meant 4 small boxes or 1 crate?!) and 4 electronic items including a large microwave, DVD player, and 2 drives. The weapons of choice was a metal crow bar, a hammer and a large sledgehammer. The sledgehammer did harm! What a workout! I was sweating so much, my face shield was sliding off my face! I was really into it. Great workout + releasing rage= FUN! Wear boots, long sleeve hoodie and jeans. A few things to note- Keep your mask on underneath the shield as it can get DUSTY in there. You are breaking electronics and probably not good to inhale some of the fumes/chemicals. There is a small closet to put your bag or your items that you don't want to break read more

The room itself was amazing as well provided enough space to really thrash the glass and electronics and being able to play our own music made it even more fun. I highly recommend doing this with friends or even family it's more than just breaking things. It allows you to fully let loose and release any stress or repressed aggression. How do you celebrate a thirteenth birthday? You put on boots, a hoodie and get your Rage playlist ready for a visit to San Jose's rage room. Staff was welcoming and threw in some extra electronics for the birthday girl. We worked up a sweat taking out our stress on numerous bottles and electronics. Two notes of caution: glass will fly everywhere and will cling to your clothing. When I tried to grab my phone to snap pics, I cut my hand on a stray piece of glass. It was a teeny cut but I was asked to toss my glove. The gloves you are provided are huge so petite women and girls may want to supply your own as they gave my daughter a blister which then also burst and bled. Another tossed glove. Nevertheless, it was well worth the price. I talked it up to my co-workers and girlfriends so I'm sure I'll return soon. read more

We got a Groupon during the COVID quarentine, and our Groupon was still valid on Groupon and when we got here they wanted to charge again $120, because they couldn't accept Groupon anymore after our session was done. They could at least have asked before we started our session that they are not accepting Groupon anymore. We booked on their website. And the front desK guy didn't have his phone working to speak with his boss, we had to call him ourselves, which it was a very "nice person" (see texts) We got very sad with this situation because it shows how professional their business is. If they had told us before we started we would have just walked away and would be all good, buT guy in the front desk never asked and did not have access to their website booking... if I was the owner I would have ask my employee first why he did not asked but insted he blame on us why we booked!?!?!? Also, he mention I could add this review because it wouldn't hurt their business so here I'm :) he also said he in our spot would have paid instead of just dealing with Groupon why their voucher is still valid there!?!? Is not our fault ans as consumers we want to make sure we are not being overcharged! Also, the same situation happened one day before because the front desk told us that... With the stress of everything this past year, my party and I definitely found this place therapeutic. By all means, come prepared for the mess you'll make. No soft sandals or flimsy shoes that will easy get punctured. Long sleeves and pants preferred. Can't tell you enough how many glass shards I felt flying in front, above and behind me. They do provide a face shield and gloves during your session. They also provide a huge speaker in the room to connect via Bluetooth -- major plus. Breaking things while listening to a bomb playlist hoooo 10/10. My party and I did the $100 "Nothing But Glass" which comes with a crate of 50 glass bottles. We ran through it real fast so we went ahead and ordered a second crate. Nothing like being able to experiment all the ways to break glass bottles B) Last but not least, the front desk/host Chris is awesome. Super friendly, responsive, and works swiftly to get you started asap. He wore a mask at all times during our stay as well as our party. We did come early and room was full of previous ragers. Fair, but we would have waited until it was cleaned. My friend ended up with a cut on her face. If you don't book online he adds a 25$ charge. We couldn't because we booked same day and the website doesn't allow you to do that. Didn't know until we checked out. I've been to another rage room and we got coveralls, glasses, face shields and gloves. This cost us 225$ for 1/2 hour for two crates of beer bottles a speaker and 3 small appliances. It was fine, but a lot of money and not a lot of basic safety. We still managed to have fun and we were able to use our own playlist which was cool. read more
