I recently organized a team offsite for my work, and per a coworker's recommendation, we landed on Great Big Game Show. It was hands-down one of the best team-building events we've done in years. The Booking Experience Planning for a corporate group can be like herding cats. We started with 14 people, but the headcount eventually ballooned to 20. I had to reach out multiple times to adjust the reservation, and I have to give a massive shout-out to Caro on their team. 9 of us from my office came to the Great Big Game Show for our holiday party activity and we had a blast. We did 5 or 6 different games during the 1 hour sesh, all facilitated by "Colby", who did a great job. The 5 best parts of the experience are listed below. Number 5 (100 points): Our group was split into 2 teams to compete against each other - because who doesn't love some friendly competition. Number 4 (200 points): Trivia questions in the trivia challenge were sufficiently dumbed down to make everything easy and accessible, which was fine - it was light and fun and our crowd wasn't exactly ready for a Jeopardy Tournament of Champions! They've overhauled the layout of the show - instead of having a "standard" pipeline and a "trivia-heavy" pipeline, they let us pick the minigames we wanted to play! We're all huge jackbox fans so all the game mechanics came naturally to us and we had a lot of fun. Our host Rodney was great! Also shoutout to our receptionist (Colton?) who also happened to be one of our game hosts one night many months ago - he was very welcoming to our friends who never played before and even asked for our thoughts on which games we liked/disliked in the past. All the staff here are super friendly and have a game show host attitude. The game show has great potential but there are a few things in which I wish they did to make it a more pleasant experience. Many of the games you need to click you buzzer but they only have a light in front of the podium so it makes it a little difficult to tell who was the first person to click the buzzer. Never have I ever thought I'd be on a game show! This place is pretty epic if you ask me. The host had HIGH ENERGY and was super fun with our group! We did boys vs girls and all of the questions were hard enough to gather our groups to come to an agreement on an answer. They have some interactive games that involved building and drawing that the whole group enjoyed. This place was a good time forsure. Great experience! I played "Cosmic Crisis" and had so much fun. The game was engaging and well designed, and the intro almost felt like the pre show of a Disneyland ride. SO FUN! If you're on the fence about checking out the Great Big Game Show, consider this your sign to just do it! I recently booked a room for the Great Big Game Show for my birthday with friends and family. It was really easy to book over the phone but you could also book online. They have rooms for 8 or 14 people. If you want a private room, but don't have enough people, they can give you a discount to book out the remaining slots. It's about $46 per person and they sometimes have deals and discounts. They offer two versions of the game: the original and the trivia showdown. We decided to try the original version since it was our first time. Highly recommend! This version had lots of variety of games from trivia to minute-to-win it style games to spinning the wheel, plinko, and more. It truly was like being in a game show! You get split up into two teams and you can choose your teams ahead of time OR they have a way to randomly choose on the spot. Huge round of applause to our host, Rylee. She killed it with keeping the night fun and lively. She was able to easily keep the conversations going with humor and quick wit as any game show host would. Great energy from all the staffs. Like many of the reviews that were left previously, I was able to grab a promo 15 min slot from their grand opening via their public site. All 5 of my stars go to the enthusiast staffs at the Great Big Game Show. They really know how to make it into a show. I love the sound and lighting effect they put into the game. Even while we were waiting, they were able to keep us entertained. One of worker noticed that people were bored, and some people started spinning the wheels for fun. They took that opportunity to engage everyone in the lobby. I didn't participate, but I had fun watching people spin the wheel for some free game/coupons. I had no idea what to expect going in. However, I'm glad the game is not all about trivia. We got to do things with our hands, use our brain, and then there's also some (or in our case, a lot) of luck involved. Other than the game host, I do think that it matters who your teammate AND opponent is. Not enough stars to rate this place! The grand opening is July 5th but they hosted mini previews the past couple of days and my group of 4 decided to pop in for a sneak peek. We got matched up with 2 others on our team and went against a family of 7. I didn't realize there was a grand prize of $1000 for the top team on the leaderboard, and although we didn't quite make it, our overall score was still decently high. Teams 2-10 win free tickets to play an actual game. Our host, Joe, was phenomenal and really brought up the energy. Staff in the lobby area were great as well, and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The theatrics were great and it felt like we were on an actual game show. Each room can fit 14 people total, but they also have one room that fits 8 - a little bit more intimate. The rooms are a bit small, but for the activities we did, it was fine.
