Our game was the pirate themed Depths of Osiris (check out the preview vids on YouTube), and it was perfect for a team of an adult and two ten year olds. My boys had no trouble getting used to the VR gear they had to wear for the experience (a headset and two hand controllers - it was their first time). We had to cooperate to solve each room's puzzle to unlock a new room. Eventually, we got to the final scenario which was exciting and really required us to collaborate. The puzzles were well constructed and mostly understandable from a logic perspective. The graphics and sound were pretty decent (it's not super-high res like Cyberpunk) and matched the gameplay perfectly. We got some timely tips from the game master too, and cleared the puzzle with about a minute left on our 45 minute timer. The facilities are super clean and well maintained. They also have snacks and drinks which are nice to make the visit special for younger kids. My sons want to come back, and I do too. I also heard they are adding a physical escape room, so definitely something to look forward to.

Make sure you get there 15-20 minutes early so you have time to finish any waivers and get your packs set up for the room. There is an adjacent parking lot so you shouldn't have any issue finding any spot. You can easily book online and see what difficulty level each game is. If you've done VR or escape rooms before, you can probably start with intermediate. Each game will require some communication and teamwork to solve challenges or other puzzles. It can get a little hectic, so make sure you mesh well with your group (truly). The VR component really makes you feel like you've been transported to another place - be warned that it can make you feel a little queasy if you're not used to it, but the staff are great in making sure you are comfortable. They're quick to help troubleshoot if you get stuck or anything. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun group outing. We went over to philz coffee after and then went to Bare Bottle Brewing for some lunch and drinks.

He explained everything and made the kids feel comfortable with all the gear. He even wiped the gear down with an antiseptic wipe between each kid. It turns out we need to sign waivers and prep time before playing. This should have been basic information given to us or at least let us know we should arrive earlier than your booked time in order to play. Just thinking logically I would want clients to prefill these out prior to their reservations. This would create less friction at start time. The crew setting us up for playtime were very helpful though and after playing they gave us a nice recap experience of our game. This was a nice touch but I wish they would have told us how the photos would be used more clearly. I wasn't even ready when taking my photo and halfway through a blink. The kids liked the game play but adults didn't have a good time. It was dizzying and exhausting to play for me and my wife and $50 a person for such an experience seems high. I decided to try out Sim Racers Group to get prepared for a race I was going to be driving on a…read moretrack I'd never set foot on before and I wanted to get a feel for the track layout. I was prepared to learn a lot about the track and get some practice in over the months before my race. What I wasn't prepared for was the community I would become a part of as a result of spending an evening getting to know the track. I have become a regular in the leagues and endurance team events, the F1 watch parties, and my personal favorite: Motorsports Christmas (F1 at Monaco, Indy 500, followed by Sim Racing). The ownership continue to reinvest in the sim rigs and has upgraded wheelbases and pedals since I started coming in. I have built a sim rig at home with help from Sim Racers Group and am constantly discussing upgrades with the staff. Even though I have a rig of my own I still enjoy coming into the Sim Racers Group for league racing and special events. If you're at all interested in Sim Racing, come in and run some laps at your favorite track and learn some tricks from Jason, he's super knowledgeable about sim racing as well as motorsports in general.
