Omg this place is definitely a hidden gem for pizza, it was so good especially when it is still hot. I have tried the cheese pizza & the pepperoni cheese pizza. Both were amazing. The dough was so soft and the crust was crispy but not too hard. I am usually just ok with pizza, but I love this place. Service is fast and staffs are friendly. Definitely coming back to try other kinds of pizza.

Cross section of pizza sub

Living in Mountain View, this spot has always been nearby but I'm ashamed to say I didn't check it out until recently! I was in the mood for some pizza, but I didn't want to get a full pizza just for myself. Fortunately, I saw they had pizza subs available, which I thought was pretty unique! The ability to get my go-to pizza toppings in a nice individual sized sub? Sure, let's do it! I chose to order online and then walk over to pick it up. For online ordering, all payments are done at the store, even if you're paying by credit/debit card. The shop itself is pretty small, and there's not any options to dine indoors. But the employees running the shop were pretty nice and helpful in getting my order! I only got myself a sub, but looks like the sub came with a free small bag of chips. For me, I'm a sucker for pineapple pizza, so I got my equivalent in the form of a sub. Each sub allows you to add up to 4 toppings to it, so I added canadian bacon, pineapple, onions, and cilantro. The sub itself is pretty massive and really filling! The bread was nice and toasted, almost like I'm eating the crust of a pizza. Super yummy and filled my pizza craving at a great price point! I know where I'm coming back when I need my pizza craving quenched but don't want a full sized pizza!

See this even my email confirmation of when it was going to be ready for pickup and time stamped for when I had placed the order.

PLEASE change your hours listed on all platforms, Apple Mpas, Google Maps, Yelp, even your own restaurant. If your close at 10:00PM the start thing would be is lock your system online from allowing anyone to place any orders unless it's for the next day! If only FRI & SAT your open till 11PM then every other day in the week have 9:45PM be the last time for someone to place an order online! The absolute most annoying part of this entire situation is that, YOU guys see exactly when an order has been placed! If you saw an order come in at 10PM and you are supposed closed... knowing that a customer would be showing up expecting there to be their order waiting for them! idk maybe CALL THEM! You work in a customer service based industry so I'm confused as to why this was not the FIRST thing to have been done! It's Unexceptional! FIRST THING TO DO IS.... CALL THE CUSTOMER RIGHT AWAY! Say I'm so sorry for the inconvenience this may cause for you, but we actually close at 10pm. It seems as though we have yet to update our listed store hours. I'm going to make a note of this so my manager can aid sure to make these adjustments. But nope, that was not what anyone thought to have done! INSTEAD, I drove to the store and then once there was told oh yeah... we actually close at 10pm.(Even though AGAIN, it's posted 10:30Pm anywhere else. also they'd just begun to close down the register and start mopping and doing end of shift duties...) The worker then proceeds to say, "Yeah, so I asked the cooks about this order but they told me no they'd not make it." LIKE SERIOUSLY!?!? LIKE REALLY?! I drove here expecting a pickup order and even have confirmation saying when it would be ready. But nope instead, you couldn't take two seconds to have let me know before even leaving to come get the order. Nope instead... you clearly didn't think that YOUR CUSTOMER, should have been told. Instead you choose to make a huge INCONVENIENCE for me, wasting my time, my gas and now not dinner in my hand since I thought I'd be getting my order.... No manger apology, just a high schooler who didn't even apologize. When I said well you should have called me if you knew you'd not be fulfilling my order, also you guys should then change your hours online and all platforms if you guys close at 10PM Sunday- Thursday. He then say," yeah" NOTHING WAS DONE TO MAKE THIS RIGHT! NO Coupons! NO 50% next Order! Maybe even the same exact order FREE next time! NOTHING! NOT A SINGLE THING OFFERED and of a single word said from their MANAGER TO ME!

Had some pizzas from Maldonado's and they were soooo good! They came out straight from the oven and they were piping hot! My favorite was the Strombolli - perfection of meats and cheese and sauce! The cheese pizza with basil and anchovies would have been better if the cheese wasn't so thick. Will definitely be back!

Large Maldonado 's Special Pizza

Wanted to give a new place a try and was disappointed. A large Maldonado's special comes with pepperoni, salami, sausage, mushrooms, onions, linguica and bell peppers. The crust was good when out of the oven and piping hot but when it cooled it was hard as a rock. Half the pizza was wet and very soggy but the other half was dry. Small parking lot, pretty much a takeout/delivery spot.

I love that each location has its own signature pie, which makes it feel unique instead of just another chain experience! The apricot pizza at this location ONLY completely surprised me! It had that perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the cheese tied everything together so well. It did not feel gimmicky at all and bite felt intentional and balanced. I also tried the Little Italy Detroit style and DET Motorhead style slices. The Detroit crust is thick and fluffy with crispy, caramelized edges and a cheesy center that does not feel overly heavy. The bread to cheese ratio is honestly just right. The DET Motorhead with the sauce layered on top was rich and satisfying without being overwhelming. The Italian sausage was juicy with a slight sweetness and a little spice that added great flavor! Beyond the food, the employees were so nice and attentive. They were patient, helpful with recommendations, and made the whole experience feel welcoming and comfortable. Definitely a place I would come back to again for both the quality of the pizza and the friendly service!

Most restaurants let people finish eating and leave even if it's after closing time.

We also tried 5 of the 6 desserts they offer and they were also all very good. The only things that may seem out of place are the paper menus and that they only offer a few beverage options. They serve water but there's no soda machine. They had Coke, Diet Coke, Sanpellegrino Aranciata (orange) and Sanpellegrino Limonata (lemon), I don't recall any other drinks available. So if you don't like any of those or going with little kids, keep that in mind. Overall a very good experience, we will definitely come back.

No. What I mean is, if you break down their pizza (as I did in one pic below bc I have a cold, so I got mine to go), it's a cornmeal crust with a bunch of toppings and cheese, topped by a thick layer of tomato-based sauce. The crust is not super thin, but neither is it super thick and bready. It basically forms a shell around the toppings and sauce. The toppings can be healthy depending on what you choose. This time, I got 1/2 brass monkey 1/2 free bird. Brass monkey has a lot of sausage and ricotta, so not a healthy choice. Free bird has a really great amount of chicken! ... and some bacon, but I chose it. You could easily get a delicious veggie and chicken pizza, and it'd be better nutritionally. There's a good amount of cheese, but it's not overwhelming or super greasy. If you want in-your-face cheese, add more for another dollar or two. I like if the way it is. The tomato sauce is thick and surprisingly tangy. That reassures me it's not loaded down with sugar. Basically, is this super healthy? No -- in terms of my eating out/takeout, that would be a sashimi salad, or salmon with lightly steamed vegetables and a bit of sweet potato or quinoa. But it's decent for a Friday night out (or in) when you're not really trying to be healthy, but also not making a point of doing the opposite. As for price -- this is March 2026, and the large half-and-half composed of 2 of their priciest options was $39.14 after tax before tip. Now, that seems a bit high for one pizza. But I didn't eat all day, and 2 slices (out of 8) filled me right up. 3 slices would have left me too full, but probably still thinking "worth it!" 4 slices would make me super uncomfortably regretting-my-life-choices overfull. Sure, you can get cheaper pizza/takeout. But this is good stuff, like pasta toppings on a good cornmeal crust. If you ordered 2 solid pastas for under $40, you'd think that was a good deal! Well, this is 3-4 adult's worth of good pizza for under $40. Also, I used to cook and bake a lot more than I do now, and there's a lot of work and ingredient here, more than I'd commit to at twice the price. It would start making sense for me to mix up the crust and buy good cheese and meat and tins of San Marzanos if I needed 4 pizzas, i.e. to feed 15-20 people (with finger foods, salad, sides, dessert). Otherwise I'd just order here. Oh! I can't remember the last time I got takeout here. So they now have a shiny red takeout cabinet to the left as you walk in, and you just put in the last 4 digits of your phone # and your locker pops open! I would have liked not to be sick and to eat in, but the cabinet was pretty cute. :)

It's very spacious with modern decor inside; service was always friendly. While their happy hour menu wasn't very extensive, everything we had tried had been solid, and their cocktails were delicious and never watered down; pricing was very reasonable, but they did have a 3% surcharge. This time we ordered the Sorrento King and Tiki Taormina cocktails and 3 food items. My husband liked his whiskey with the smoky flavor; my cocktail was fruity and refreshing, just a little on the sweeter side. The calamari was lightly battered and not oily, it's very flavorful with or without the spicy marinara sauce. I liked that they included a lot of tentacle pieces. While I missed their roasted cauliflower, which was no longer on the menu, their braised artichoke was surprisingly good. It was soaked in a yummy garlicky olive oil, perfect for dipping the crostini in. It took a bit of work to get to the artichoke heart, but it was well worth it. The center was so soft and tasted heavenly. I liked the Pizza Fradiavola's thin crust, and it had just the right amount of spiciness with the peperoncino. The complimentary vanilla gelato with raspberry sauce and birthday candle was a really nice touch. We also claimed the tiramisu birthday reward we received via email. Both were very satisfying.
