Picnic Spot Pizza Fries Philly cheesesteak sub Garlic Cheese Bread
Jack T.

Came here on a busy Friday night around 7:15 PM. There were a good amount of people inside and we didn't have to wait to order. My friends and I ordered quite a bit of food LOL and had a variety of things to try. We ordered the picnic spot pizza which is most similar to a bbq chicken pizza. A side of fries, a cheesesteak sub and garlic cheese bread. First off, the pizza was fantastic. 5/5 really solid bbq chicken pizza, fresh toppings. Not too sweet not too doughy not too crunchy. Vvery happy w this. Everything else... not so much Our fries were extremely cold and soggy and were almost inedible. I'm not exactly a fine dining guy so I'm not hard to please, but these did not pass The Philly cheesesteak sub was messy and falling out of the less-than warm bread. And I don't even think there was cheese in the sandwich. The taste was meh and I was a bit disappointed The garlic bread wa very tasty and came with a marinara sauce that was nicely complimentary of the savory bread. Overall, the pizza was fantastic, everything else not quite the same grade. I would be back for the pizza and maybe to try the Marrienes ice cream

Amazing pizza and the crust was very thin. They definitely do not scam you of toppings. Although because of the amount of toppings it can be hard for the pizza to maintain its shape; making it harder to eat. They have a very simple menu for pizza and lots of seating. Overall it was delicious and I would definitely go back again!

I was looking for a place to get some quick food before heading to the Los Altos stage company for a show. This restaurant was right around the corner located in a beautiful downtown area. The restaurant has one self service tablet that can be used to place your order. We ordered and received our pizza about 15 minutes later. There are tables available to eat inside but the feel I got was that customers usually get the pizza to go. The pizza was a little salty but otherwise very good. I removed one star because the restaurant was not very clean. The trash was overflowing and the tables were dirty. I would definitely have their pizza again but would probably get it to go. Also love that they have ice cream

Combination slice "8.0" , a side of Caesar salad and drink

I'm a pizza girl and I'm always on the run, and when I order pizza to go I want it fast and non greasy. I ordered a combination slice of pizza called "8.0" and it hit the spot for me. You can get a side of salad and drink along with it for an affordable price. Also , the owners were pleasant people to speak with, hardworking and kind hearted. I'll be back for more !!!

I don't understand the low stars. This is by far the best pizza place in the Peninsula if you're looking for something not New York/Neapolitan style or Chicago Deep Dish. It's the pizza you grew up with done to perfection. I ordered through DoorDash with ZERO PROBLEMS and my food was ready upon pick up. Anyone who said they had a terrible experience using a 3rd party app should try again. It's so rare to find delicious pizza that has a satisfying, crunchy outer layer of crust with the inner crust/dough being soft. The Version 8.0 is moderately spicy from the spicier than normal pepperoni but so delicious especially with their Italian sausage. A large size comes in around $26 and is around 10 slices. It was enough to feed 4 people. I've been coming here and previously their Palo Alto locations for awhile and everything on the menu is great. Give this local business a try.

So this is my 2nd time ordering from Spot in years I really like their pizza! Likes I love their create your own pizza option they have about 30 toppings to choose from! Some of the toppings that I chose for my last pizza were pepperonis, mushrooms, and green olives. I absolutely love the bread (crust) this is the kind of pizza where you eat the hole slice and no ends are left over! The pricing for the premise pizza is not bad & the portion size is pretty good. Enough for left overs if you order one of the larger pizzas! The service has been really quick both times I ordered in DoorDash. It probably took about 20-30 minutes for them to prepare my pizza and deliver it. Almost as fast as ordering fast food! Dislikes I wish they had more premise options! Their premise options are primarily meat based or primarily veggie based. For example one of the premise options has salami pepperoni and sausage! That's too much meat almost I think. I wish they had an option with more balance between meat or veggies. Almost forced to choose between a veggie or a meat lover pizza. The other thing that I wish was that the additional toppings were cheaper ($2.25) on DoorDash for additional topping. That's too much! So if you want a lot of variety it couple cost you quite a bit of money.

Cheese pizza with pineapple, red onions , sun dried tomatoes and basil toppings.

Great pizza - we often stop by to get it by the slice, and have also ordered a few pizzas for takeout, which were all delicious.

I love that each location has its own signature pie, which makes it feel unique instead of just another chain experience! The apricot pizza at this location ONLY completely surprised me! It had that perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the cheese tied everything together so well. It did not feel gimmicky at all and bite felt intentional and balanced. I also tried the Little Italy Detroit style and DET Motorhead style slices. The Detroit crust is thick and fluffy with crispy, caramelized edges and a cheesy center that does not feel overly heavy. The bread to cheese ratio is honestly just right. The DET Motorhead with the sauce layered on top was rich and satisfying without being overwhelming. The Italian sausage was juicy with a slight sweetness and a little spice that added great flavor! Beyond the food, the employees were so nice and attentive. They were patient, helpful with recommendations, and made the whole experience feel welcoming and comfortable. Definitely a place I would come back to again for both the quality of the pizza and the friendly service!

We also tried 5 of the 6 desserts they offer and they were also all very good. The only things that may seem out of place are the paper menus and that they only offer a few beverage options. They serve water but there's no soda machine. They had Coke, Diet Coke, Sanpellegrino Aranciata (orange) and Sanpellegrino Limonata (lemon), I don't recall any other drinks available. So if you don't like any of those or going with little kids, keep that in mind. Overall a very good experience, we will definitely come back.

We started off with the Ravioli Campare, which was absolutely delicious with the marinara and ranch (the ranch tasted really good though, almost like a caesar dressing). Then, I enjoyed my simple and refreshing Caesar salad with extra pepper for my taste. Next up was the Garlic Bread with extra mozzarella, the mozzarella tasted fresh and the bread was perfectly crispy. Then came our main courses, the gnocchi and the lasagna. I honestly never finish the whole plate at any restaurant, but I completely cleared the plate and so did my friend with his lasagna. And to top it all off, we shared the boozy tiramisu and ate every last bit. Aside from the food, our server was incredible. No. What I mean is, if you break down their pizza (as I did in one pic below bc I have a cold, so I got mine to go), it's a cornmeal crust with a bunch of toppings and cheese, topped by a thick layer of tomato-based sauce. The crust is not super thin, but neither is it super thick and bready. It basically forms a shell around the toppings and sauce. The toppings can be healthy depending on what you choose. This time, I got 1/2 brass monkey 1/2 free bird. Brass monkey has a lot of sausage and ricotta, so not a healthy choice. Free bird has a really great amount of chicken! ... and some bacon, but I chose it. You could easily get a delicious veggie and chicken pizza, and it'd be better nutritionally. There's a good amount of cheese, but it's not overwhelming or super greasy. If you want in-your-face cheese, add more for another dollar or two. I like if the way it is. The tomato sauce is thick and surprisingly tangy. That reassures me it's not loaded down with sugar. Basically, is this super healthy? No -- in terms of my eating out/takeout, that would be a sashimi salad, or salmon with lightly steamed vegetables and a bit of sweet potato or quinoa. But it's decent for a Friday night out (or in) when you're not really trying to be healthy, but also not making a point of doing the opposite. As for price -- this is March 2026, and the large half-and-half composed of 2 of their priciest options was $39.14 after tax before tip. Now, that seems a bit high for one pizza. But I didn't eat all day, and 2 slices (out of 8) filled me right up. 3 slices would have left me too full, but probably still thinking "worth it!" 4 slices would make me super uncomfortably regretting-my-life-choices overfull. Sure, you can get cheaper pizza/takeout. But this is good stuff, like pasta toppings on a good cornmeal crust. If you ordered 2 solid pastas for under $40, you'd think that was a good deal! Well, this is 3-4 adult's worth of good pizza for under $40. Also, I used to cook and bake a lot more than I do now, and there's a lot of work and ingredient here, more than I'd commit to at twice the price. It would start making sense for me to mix up the crust and buy good cheese and meat and tins of San Marzanos if I needed 4 pizzas, i.e. to feed 15-20 people (with finger foods, salad, sides, dessert). Otherwise I'd just order here. Oh! I can't remember the last time I got takeout here. So they now have a shiny red takeout cabinet to the left as you walk in, and you just put in the last 4 digits of your phone # and your locker pops open! I would have liked not to be sick and to eat in, but the cabinet was pretty cute. :)
