I don't think this picture truly depicts the size of this massive goodness.

When I say New York Pizza in Mountain View knows how to do it BIG, I mean it literally. We came for the King Kong slices and these things are no joke--easily bigger than my hand (pics don't lie). I went half on the Combination and Meat Lovers, and both were stacked. The Combination was loaded with fresh veggies, melty cheese, and just the right amount of sausage and pepperoni--every bite felt balanced, not soggy or greasy. The Meat Lovers? Pure comfort. Hearty, flavorful, and the kind of slice that makes you forget you were "just gonna eat one." My son called it the best pizza he's had in a while, and honestly, I can't argue with him. When the kid approves, you know it's real. The shop itself is small but has enough tables to sit and enjoy. We were told 15 minutes for our food, but it came out quicker than that. Staff was super friendly, and I loved watching the constant flow of delivery drivers running in and out--it's always a good sign when a place is that in demand. Bottom line: giant slices, bold flavors, and a vibe that feels classic New York through and through. I'll definitely be back the next time I need a pizza fix that actually satisfies.

the bait and switch of $6.49 delivery fee. when cancelled only a partial refund was issued

They had a $0 delivery on "deals" when I ordered it added $6.49 delivery fee. I immediately cancelled order and it only gave me $17 of a $38.50 charge. 40 minutes with support to get a refund, they stated delivery fee was for "dash pass" which is totally untrue (see attached pics). What a total and complete fiasco for a simple pizza. This was a complee bait and switch on the fee issue, BEWARE!

If you are starving in Mountain View, head over to New York Pizza on Grant Road. This is just 1 Slice of BBQ Chicken. So good.

We think the pizza drawing is close to the real thing, but the real thing was delicious compared to the drawing :)

Needed to find a pizza joint for the grandson and New York Pizza did not disappoint! The thin crust was perfect and the pepperoni to cheese ratio was spot on. Single salad serving could easily serve two maybe even three people.

One of the best New York style pizza in the area! They have many options, sizes, and items. They make it fresh for every order and are usually very fast. Their King Kong sized whole pizza is huge when we need to feed a lot of people. I usually opt for a large size for family dinner nights. It's not a big store since most people take out but there is some space to seat indoors. Parking lot is shared strip mall but parking is limited near the pizza shop since cars are always parked there on that side. This is my go to pizza spot when we have any event!

Cheese bread with chicken and jalapeño

The glory days of getting cheese bread with toppings for $6 are gone. Not only has the price doubled, but the quality of the ingredients seems to have gone down. The service is good, the employees are nice. I just think the value is gone. I might come here again for the nostalgia having grown up in the Silicon Valley. The restaurant is as I remember it growing up though.

Hawaiian Delight Gourmet Pizza 16" ($30.95) - 4 stars. Good. Nothing fancy or inventive, but competently executed. Sat delivery 2023-09-09

Solid spot. Nothing mindblowing, but we enjoyed our delivery and the price was reasonable. No complaints. $50.15 for a DoorDash delivery of a 16" pizza and a Cheese Bread. * Hawaiian Delight Gourmet Pizza 16" ($30.95) - 4 stars Hawaiian pizza was good. Nothing fancy or inventive, but competently executed. * Cheese Bread ($12.99) - 4 stars Plenty shared between 4 toddlers. They loved dipping this into marinara sauce, and even I liked it. The bread was soft with a light crisp.

We returned again and this time we were hungry enough to order their King Kong size pizza- Combination Gourmet with everything on it. This pizza pie is hugeeeee! And it is just as delicious as expected, but we were only able to finish half of the pizza pie. For only $45, this size is great to share with a family of 4 or 6 people.

I love that each location has its own signature pie, which makes it feel unique instead of just another chain experience! The apricot pizza at this location ONLY completely surprised me! It had that perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the cheese tied everything together so well. It did not feel gimmicky at all and bite felt intentional and balanced. I also tried the Little Italy Detroit style and DET Motorhead style slices. The Detroit crust is thick and fluffy with crispy, caramelized edges and a cheesy center that does not feel overly heavy. The bread to cheese ratio is honestly just right. The DET Motorhead with the sauce layered on top was rich and satisfying without being overwhelming. The Italian sausage was juicy with a slight sweetness and a little spice that added great flavor! Beyond the food, the employees were so nice and attentive. They were patient, helpful with recommendations, and made the whole experience feel welcoming and comfortable. Definitely a place I would come back to again for both the quality of the pizza and the friendly service!

Most restaurants let people finish eating and leave even if it's after closing time.

We also tried 5 of the 6 desserts they offer and they were also all very good. The only things that may seem out of place are the paper menus and that they only offer a few beverage options. They serve water but there's no soda machine. They had Coke, Diet Coke, Sanpellegrino Aranciata (orange) and Sanpellegrino Limonata (lemon), I don't recall any other drinks available. So if you don't like any of those or going with little kids, keep that in mind. Overall a very good experience, we will definitely come back.

No. What I mean is, if you break down their pizza (as I did in one pic below bc I have a cold, so I got mine to go), it's a cornmeal crust with a bunch of toppings and cheese, topped by a thick layer of tomato-based sauce. The crust is not super thin, but neither is it super thick and bready. It basically forms a shell around the toppings and sauce. The toppings can be healthy depending on what you choose. This time, I got 1/2 brass monkey 1/2 free bird. Brass monkey has a lot of sausage and ricotta, so not a healthy choice. Free bird has a really great amount of chicken! ... and some bacon, but I chose it. You could easily get a delicious veggie and chicken pizza, and it'd be better nutritionally. There's a good amount of cheese, but it's not overwhelming or super greasy. If you want in-your-face cheese, add more for another dollar or two. I like if the way it is. The tomato sauce is thick and surprisingly tangy. That reassures me it's not loaded down with sugar. Basically, is this super healthy? No -- in terms of my eating out/takeout, that would be a sashimi salad, or salmon with lightly steamed vegetables and a bit of sweet potato or quinoa. But it's decent for a Friday night out (or in) when you're not really trying to be healthy, but also not making a point of doing the opposite. As for price -- this is March 2026, and the large half-and-half composed of 2 of their priciest options was $39.14 after tax before tip. Now, that seems a bit high for one pizza. But I didn't eat all day, and 2 slices (out of 8) filled me right up. 3 slices would have left me too full, but probably still thinking "worth it!" 4 slices would make me super uncomfortably regretting-my-life-choices overfull. Sure, you can get cheaper pizza/takeout. But this is good stuff, like pasta toppings on a good cornmeal crust. If you ordered 2 solid pastas for under $40, you'd think that was a good deal! Well, this is 3-4 adult's worth of good pizza for under $40. Also, I used to cook and bake a lot more than I do now, and there's a lot of work and ingredient here, more than I'd commit to at twice the price. It would start making sense for me to mix up the crust and buy good cheese and meat and tins of San Marzanos if I needed 4 pizzas, i.e. to feed 15-20 people (with finger foods, salad, sides, dessert). Otherwise I'd just order here. Oh! I can't remember the last time I got takeout here. So they now have a shiny red takeout cabinet to the left as you walk in, and you just put in the last 4 digits of your phone # and your locker pops open! I would have liked not to be sick and to eat in, but the cabinet was pretty cute. :)
