We met friends of ours who were driving down from the city, and chose this spot based on the reviews and the fact that it was approx half way for both of us. We were excited initially since the staff is Italian and I was expecting very good and authentic food. Sadly, that was not the case. Service was great and attentive, but the food was very disappointing. Everything from the appetizers to the risotto (too dry) and scallops (too fishy) was underwhelming. I felt really bad since we were with foodies and I am the one who picked this spot. Only saving grace was the tiramisu which was delicious but it was too little too late.

Tre Monti was a quick stop before I headed north to the City. It was quite tasty, between the Tre Monti salad with walnuts and gorgonzola, and the margarita pizza. The pizza was extremely thin in the center, and dropped quite a bit of oil when I picked it up. This might turn off some people, but it was fabulous for me. The chianti was lovely, the outdoor deck allowed me to pass the time while watching Los Altos stroll by, and the bread was excellent. The cannoli was not too bad, paired well with coffee. I got there right at the opening at 5, and the service was very attentive.

I attended a holiday party at this beautiful neighborhood restaurant in Los Altos, which has a rustic Italian and modern ambiance. I enjoyed beets with mozzarella and bruschetta as appetizers, followed by a flavorful vegetable soup. The standout dish was the risotto with salmon and peas for the main course. I did not drink that night and got Italian soda instead. The night was filled with laughter and girl talk.

Dined here for the first time on a Friday night, party of 7 and celebrating a 93rd birthday. Birthday boy loves Italian food and since he can't travel too far from home, we opted for Tre Monti. The setting is simple and a relaxing upscale restaurant. There is seating outside as well but not the best option on a cooler fall evening. We ordered the burrata and calamari appetizers (salads) for the table. The menu selection is mostly pizza and pasta. All except one opted for pasta in our party. It took a while for the entrees to be served and one pasta dish was the wrong one which needed to be returned to the kitchen and a new order was placed. The pastas were mostly ok, we had 3 carbonara, one seafood special, Cavatelli di Mare, and Spaghetti alla Bolognese. And a prosciutto mozzarella pizza. The first two carbonara pastas were floating in sauce!!! Nothing like they are supposed to be. The 3rd one which was served at the end (the wrong order) was prepared properly. The pasta sauces tasted good but nothing extraordinary. The restaurant was full by the time we finished with our entrees and the staff were very busy. The experience felt rushed as we were finishing our entrees, they rushed the birthday tiramisu within 5 min of the dinner to our table while one guest was still eating their pizza!! The tiramisu and cheesecake were heavenly and we loved them. We would have enjoyed the dining if it was more relaxed and not rushed. There were a few walk-in customers and felt like they were trying to make room for more incoming business...

    Undercooked and so soggy/watery.

I first tried Tre Monti when it was ordered at the office. Someone in my team had it and he was raving about it. I then ordered the Margherita pizza and boy was it good. I then decided to order for my daughter and I. I ordered the Margherita and, it came a little different than the first time. A bit more soft (almost undercooked looking in tiny areas) but we ate it and it was fine. Well, I ordered again. This time for my son to also try. Margherita and Calabrese pizzas. I received 1 pizza (assume Margherita, which is the one I wanted the most) and some pasta plate. Boy, was I disappointed but figured, hey, we have at least the 1 pizza and my daughter can have the pasta (she loves pasta). We had to hurry and eat as (like I mentioned above) she was going to work. Well, I call my son and daughter to eat, open up the pizza and it's the Calabrese one, AND, it is very much undercooked, soggy and can barely pick it up. I had to throw it in the air fryer to speed up cooking for my daughter to eat before going to work. We tried the pasta and that was a fail. It tasted like heavy American yellow cheese. I immediately reached out to Door Dash and their auto chat initially refunded the 1 pizza. I had to reach out to a rep to get the full refund. This was a big fail from Tre Monti.

had a wonderful lunch at Tre Monti. I ordered the Fregola Sarda allo Zafferano, and it was truly delicious - perfectly cooked and flavorful. Service was good, and the environment was nice and relaxed. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to try more dishes from their menu!

Amazing at first glance, even missing the mussels

Had high hopes and it was just ok. I made a reservation for a Friday night because I thought it was going to be busy, but I got there and I didn't need one. Regardless, I prefer to sit at the bar, so I likely wouldn't have needed a reservation anyway, but I didn't know that. After being seated at the bar, which I requested, I ordered an aperol spritz, which was fine. This bar does not have liquor, just beer and wine. I ordered the cavatelli di mare and was a little confused when I got it. The description of the dish states "fresh clams, mussels, calamari, and prawns". I got my plate and noticed there were zero mussels. I asked and the response was as that they were out of them. Not sure why they didn't state that when I ordered the dish. They did offer to provide more clams, but I declined because I have never seen smaller clams in my life....they were TINY. The focaccia bread and herb/garlic oil was yummy, though some of the pieces of focaccia were rough like they were cut a day or two before. The cavatelli pasta was as also very good, but don't think I got or paid for what was on the menu... I love fresh and authentic Italian restaurants, but this one is missing the mark just a little.

Went for a date night with my husband. Reached late around 8:40 pm and the place was mostly empty. Peak time for them is between 5:30 to 7:30 pm and after that its quite open. There are quite a few options for vegetarians in Antipasti menu, fewer in the main course. I felt that the food lacked flavor. Spaghetti could have used more salt. Service was quick and all servers were nice and polite. The best of all was the tiramisu. Got to talk to the pastry chef and saw the Basque cheesecake come out. Will definitely go back for dessert here, not so much for the food.

The restaurant was packed at early dinner hour and the servers were setting up extra tables inside to accommodate. Once seated our group waited a bit for someone to come take our order until we flagged a waiter down. The food was fantastic, most things we tried were well-made and tasted great. The highlight was the basque cheesecake. As the night went on and the noise level went down it was a pleasant experience for the rest of our dinner.

This is my Dad's favorite Italian restaurant in the bay by far! It has solid pizza and pasta. This time around we got the carpaccio pizza, the vongole, and carpaccio carbonara. They were all solid choices but wasn't raving nearly as much as my dad was about it

I would say it feels like a tavern for wealthy noblemen in 1800s England. Allow me to say where it fell short for me, and then I'll sing my praises. The wine... tasted like wine. I don't have a particularly refined palate when it comes to that. The charcuterie board was a collection of expensive items that I am personally not into: miniature pickles (too sour), meat pâté (bland), and what I think were pickled red peppers. There was no cheese, which was highly disappointing; however, if that style of charcuterie suits you, go for it. The music did not match the ambiance at all. They really should play piano or smooth jazz, because the 2010s pop was honestly annoying. DESPITE ALL OF THIS, the crowd was the real pull. Everyone was either on a first date or was an interesting adult. This makes for fun people-watching and stimulating conversations. People were very willing to walk up and talk to strangers. His low-class act of going around and blabbing about other customers' money is more likely to turn off repeat customers than keep them coming back. I am flattered that he thinks they're my children, because they are angels. Their parents told me this restaurant would be a great place to celebrate Mother's Day because it had good reviews, and the website advertised that the kitchen had a kids' menu. I checked for myself today, and I see it's there, featured alongside all the other categories. He is denying that the restaurant advertises a kids' menu, but I struggle to see how that's not advertising one. It's such a foolish lie; it would be like denying Roja offers pasta or desserts. We were celebrating Mother's Day, so of course I am upset he chose that moment to insult my grandchildren and adult children. He made it sound like they were going to throw us out if my family made so much as a peep for the rest of our meal. Naturally, it put everyone on edge, not just the parents and me, but my other adult children at that table too. For a celebration like Mother's Day, the owner offered no grace. He claims there was some mass exodus of customers around us, but I didn't see that. In fact, they had many people seated near us the whole time, as far as I could tell. His faux apology highlights the contempt he has for his customers. He seems incapable of mustering the courtesy required for a sincere apology (and if James is reading this, that's how you correctly spell the word, for your information).
