This place was so delicious. I really liked everything we tried. I looked up pizza on yelp and this place popped up over and over with great reviews. I'm glad I went and tried it. We tried the artichoke bread (dusty baker) and the rush street pizza. The bread was good but the pizza was SO good. The crust was *chefs kiss*, and their cheese tasted fresh and melted amazingly. We also ordered the chocolate ganache cake and a rock slide brownie. Both were a solid B+. I'm not mad at them but I would try something different next time. Pizza Chicago is a must-visit for me a couple times a year. It's a solid deep dish pizzeria, and I love their crust (when I can find it - when it's not drowned in lopsided toppings). It's a 3 for me because unlike 5-star joints they haven't nailed the magic crust-to-cheese-to-sauce ratio. It's just kind of messily slapped on together without much precision. As implied earlier, they don't even leave an open crust in some corners. This means the outcome varies, and leads to uneven taste across the pizza (depends which slice you grab). They could learn a lot from Patxi's, Blue Line or even Jake's (all of which I crave and visit more regularly) in terms of improving on this count. It was a similar story with the garlic bread. Uneven application of the garlic and butter led to only 2 slices being maximally droolworthy! That said, it is a decent pie. The ambience is casual and family-friendly, and the service is speedy and with a smile. Definitely suggest a visit, and you can decide for yourself. read more

I love that they do deep dish, the largest size for it is large. They have an extra large thin crust, if you like that. Ranch is a must and they give you large cups, since they charge extra. I brought my family out for a nice family dinner. We called slightly ahead of arrival since it was gonna be a big party of 10. We were welcomed with attitude when asked to be seated in more convenient place for us, the manager said " sure I'll just rearrange everything I already did" and walked away. Then our waitress that served us wouldn't acknowledge us when we'd ask for anything and would just walk away. It seemed like everything we asked for was an inconvenience. The food was great but the service was horrible. To top it off gratuity was included and she did not deserve what we were charged. Our family loved coming here on Fridays, never again on a weekend if these are the weekend workers. A Chicago deep dish style pizza is typically layered like a casserole, with toppings in the middle and heavy tomato sauce on top. It's more of a pie. I ordered a "Chicago deep dish style pizza" here to find out that the pizza I ordered is pan pizza, it's not traditional deep dish pizza. I noticed that this pizza wasn't Chicago deep dish when I opened the box and noticed that I can visually see the toppings. With a traditional Chicago deep dish, the toppings are in the middle of the pizza since it's like a pie. I also noticed this was a pan pizza the moment I bit into it, the dough was not fully cooked and the reason why could be due to various reasons such as oven temp or simply too many toppings on top of the pizza that didn't allow the dough to cook thoroughly. I was expecting a Chicago deep dish style pizza but got a pan pizza and that's why I left a 3 star review. Reviewing the pizza as a pan pizza, I would leave a 4 if it were cooked thoroughly. Veg/vegan reviewer: I remember loving the deep dish veg pizza we'd had here 2 years back. But I have given very less stars coz today was a little disappointing- 1. Spinach salad - loved the honey mustard dressing. But I felt it is not worth 14$(DoorDash price) coz it's not so filling. Also if you missed the picture, the bread in the salad had fungi starting on it. I am not sure how a highly rated restaurant could send me food which has gone bad. It's a mistake - but kinda bad! SMH. 2. Canoli was nice - it's cream with ricotta cheese. Tried it - we couldn't love it as our taste buds didn't like the idea of sourness(very little) in the cream. Came an hour or so after lunch so there was no wait and got excellent customer service. We just ordered a large pepperoni with half mushrooms, deep Dish.
