*This review is NOT about the product, only about the service I came here with a group of 6 friends around 10pm on a Friday. When we walked in, the 2 workers kind of just looked up at us and did not say anything. There was a handful of people in the store, waiting for their orders. After a couple of minutes a man said their server was down and to come back in 15 minutes. Not sure if this was true or if they were feeling overwhelmed and needed to buy time? Anyways, my group and I left and returned around 10:20. After walking in, we waited in line. After a minute or so of standing in the store, the man said they were closed. Mind you, their hours on Yelp say they close at 12am on Fridays. Not sure what's going on with their system and/or management, but I'd prefer they be more direct and transparent with their customers. read more

Writing this review makes me sad. I had only ever been to chocolate bash once at their Tustin location and was very impressed. When I found out that there was one right by my house at the spectrum, I was stoked. When we visited tonight, it felt awkward walking in. The store was dead, they had 3 employees working and they all looked like they hated life. Out of all 3 employees, we did not get one hello. They just stared at us until we placed our order. We ordered a white chocolate and Nutella crepe and when we opened the box, instead of swirling it or putting it in a zig zag, half was white chocolate and half was Nutella. The crepe was super thick and if you've had a crepe before, you know that's wrong. I could barely cut it with a knife ‍ Considering how awful the service is and how bad the crepe was, we will not be going back unfortunately. read more

My boyfriend and his friends have been here many times for the Mini pancakes, each visit the food was different despite ordering the same thing. Soggy, less pancakes, mushy fruit. The real reason for the dissatisfaction is the service. On my boyfriends birthday, instead of cake, he decided on chocolate bash. Three of us walked into the empty store before 9PM, they close at 10PM. The woman who walked out of the back listened to one order and said they already cleaned and couldn't make Mini pancakes. I worked in food service, I understand wanting to get a head start on closing. If customers order, declining them out of laziness to do your job is crazy. Just embarrassing. We walked in and it smelt very weird. The worker said to another worker "do you know how many shakes I made today I don't want to make anymore" (loud enough for all the customers to hear). Customers were waiting a long time... for a shake, until they finally asked "we ordered a shake a while ago" and the worker said very rudely "we're making it right now" then went back behind the counter to laugh with the co-worker because she was in fact not doing anything. Mind you they were not busy. We immediately walked out. I would not support a business with unprofessionalism to this level and rude customer service. I don't understand how a chocolate milkshake can be that watery and still be sold, it was as if a singular chocolate chip was used for flavor. Mostly just a gritty, icey Hershey's-syrup beverage. Also doesn't help that the only words the cashier provided were a constant "TAP TAP TAP" to everyone rushing to provide their payment for the card reader. I went in here with my wife and a friend of ours and an employee with glasses working tonights shift said they couldn't serve us because they are out of ingredients and the only one working tonight. We left and walked around and later my wife went in by herself and the employee took her order. Our friend went in by herself the employee took her order. A delectable smorgasbord of Belgian Chocolate, Crepes, Fruit, and more. Start with a Bash Roll (think a large crepe burrito) pack it with whatever fruit you love most -- their strawberries are divine. Drizzled artistically in Belgian chocolate, a true work of art. Your order actually looks like the photos on the menu. Everything is fresh and tastes every bit as phenomenal as they look. I'd give this place more than five starts if I could. Absolutely not. Never again. I came with some family of mine to get some late night dessert and what drew us in initially was the fact that they close at midnight. But upon entering, we were all hit with an extremely strong smell of what was similar to a restroom or an outhouse. It was extremely pungent and just a very big turn off. It almost made me start to feel initially very sick to my stomach just because of the smell. I've come to this place before and the service has always been horrible, If I'm being totally honest with you. there is never any organization to the line. It's extremely small inside so it's super hard to tell who is waiting for food and or to order food and none of the employees have done a good job about making that clear... as far as the few times that I've been. Anyways, we were looking at the menu and there was a couple that looked at a young lady who was working in the front cleaning or something and they asked her if their shake was almost ready and that they had already ordered it a long time ago, and she abruptly gave a short answer and said that they were working on it, which I feel was very unprofessional because why would you lie to somebody so then I saw her look at another male coworker and smile at him and then they both ran into the back area, giggling and laughing because they both know that they had been caught not doing their job by a customer. Is there a manager who works in the evening? Who is managing this place? Who is even managing the Yelp page because with all of the horrible reviews I've been seeing on here I have not seen any management responses, which I think says a lot about this company and the company and it's employees genuinely not caring about its customers and you'll see that with other peoples reviews. It's all about the lack of customer service at this location. I will never ever come here and recommend this place like I used. I'll tell them to go to cold stone, or somisomi. Honestly from what I've tried it's all been pretty mid - nothing super special as it is. After giving it another sip I decided to throw it away. The color matched the taste. It was very watered down. The chia latte tasted the same, watered down and tasteless..
