I came by because a friend recommended it. The shop is a good size, with available seating on the side. The staff was nice. We ordered the matcha latte and peach blossom matcha. Overall the matcha didn't feel too powerful. When I return, I do want to try the coffee. I just didn't want to get coffee since I went in the afternoon.
Redshift Coffee Roasters is a nice place to pick up a cup of bougie-priced coffee. When I'm paying $6 for a latte, I would like to taste the unique notes of the bean. This is just my preference, though, as not everyone is looking to taste flavored notes in their coffee. Don't get me wrong, the latte was not bad, it was just a basic latte where I could hardly taste the coffee. I also didn't like how they don't list out what is in their specialty coffees such as their Bumble Coffee and RAF. I was pretty disappointed to find out what they are as it is just flavorings added to the espresso. Again, not my preference to flavor up my lattes that compete with the lackluster coffee taste. I do see the appeal of this place being that it's the only "fancy" coffee shop around, so if you're looking for a bougie coffee place while trying to escape the over populated Starbucks. This place is for you.
Impressive array of barista skills, matcha, espresso, classy layers and latte art! It's all rolled into a rather dull and pale inside unable to match atmosphere to coffee craft. It's a ripe bunch of walls ready for a local artist to show off. Us two went for a banana latte, fancy green tea, and a breakfast bagel. The colors! No wonder Yelp puts this tops for the area. If only I could order from Indiana.
Snuck out for a quick coffee because daylight savings was killing me and wanted to try a new spot. This one was 9 mins away from home, so figured a good spot! Parking was easy on a Sunday afternoon. It's in a random parking lot but I assume this area is developing quickly. Service was good- she was helpful and very knowledgeable about the products. Ambiance was simple- worked for the space and vibe. My iced coffee was good. My husband's short and salt was okay. Wish thy had some baked goods.
I got a flat tire but thankfully had run-flat tires, so I drove slowly to America's Tire and left my car there while they worked on it. Since I was in the area and was not my usual route... I decided to walk over for coffee and found this cute little shop with a clean, simple interior. The staff were super friendly! We ordered our drinks for here but ended up taking them outside since we had our dog with us. The Bumble Coffee was delicious! It was refreshing and unique. If I'm ever around here again, I'll definitely come back to try more of their creative drinks!
Had the eggnog foam cold brew. Excellently not sweet. It was very light, nothing like the usual fair at the chain down the street. The smoked salmon bagel is fantastic. The toppings are. The bagel was very sidelined, but that was okay. It knew it wasn't the star of the show. Great combination of flavors.
We had this cafe close to us and decided to give it a try. They were very nice and gave us the option to add a banana cold foam on top of our matcha even though it's not an official drink on the menu. It was delicious! The matcha is on the sweetened side but it's still very pleasant to drink. I will be coming back.
Came on a rainy Saturday morning since I was looking for a coffee shop right off the 5 freeway and Redshift has been on my list to try for awhile. The coffee shop is bright and clean with table seating along the walls. It was lively on a Saturday morning after 10am, even on a rainy day! The cashier greeted us in a friendly and welcoming manner, and was very receptive to our questions on the menu. I was curious what the bumble coffee consisted of and the staff was very knowledgable on the drinks. Bumble coffee has an orange juice base, lightly sweetened with housemade caramel syrup, and layered with a double shot of espresso. The drink was super refreshing and the coffee was extremely smooth - the combination was great together.
Oh this cafe is sooo lovely. New favorite! There's such a nice and gentle feel to this place. My friend and I came here on a rainy Sunday morning and it was so cozy inside :) The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. I especially loved their raspberry croissant, which was sweet and filled with a yummy raspberry jam. I've never had anything like it, so interesting! My friend ordered the coffee flight and I had a hot matcha latte. We loved the variety in the coffee flight and the matcha was very smooth and tasty. This cafe is very clean and their menu items are beautifully presented. It's clear that a lot of love goes into everything. I'm excited to come back! read more

Wanted to try a coffee shop in the area that wasn't a chain, and I was delighted to stumble upon Redshift. They're located right off of a major freeway, so in terms of location, I thought it was convenient! Parking was easy and no issues, even in a weekend! Woohoo! Didn't want anything too sweet, so the barista recommended the Oat Vanilla Latte. I will say that I was surprised and disappointed when I asked for my drink to be extra hot, and the staff worker said they were unable to do that. Unfortunately, that was enough for me to be turned off, cause sure enough, as soon as I got my drink, it was hot, but not as hot as I would like my hot drink especially on a cold day. And for the cost, not sure I would come back. It's definitely cute inside, and a great place to meet up with friends or for a day date, but other than that, not sure I'd pay that much for a not so hot drink. Next time, I'll try an iced one! read more

Customer service was average. Place has limited seating and most tables were taken. Not too loud, but definitely a baby making some unusually peculiar noises (probably should get that checked out.) Decaf oat latte with house made caramel. Wife said it was above average. Oat Vanilla latte was good (those are vanilla bean, not black pepper like my son says?!) I like their roast. I would say with all the great coffee places nearby, that I wouldn't revisit this place. But it was good nonetheless. read more

My go-to morning coffee spot! The staff are wonderful and truly love their craft. I'm always curious about their unique latte names, and the knowledgeable team is great at giving recommendations. Don't skip the food--the salmon bagel and avocado toast are fantastic. Highly recommended! read more

In my eyes, it takes a lot to be a highly rated coffee shop. With so many options for coffee in Orange County, it's hard to pick and choose, and even harder to find one worth of repeat business. Inside is sleek, modern, clean. A long bench and tables for 2 line the wall, with a few patio tables for 2 outside. I'm in love with the minimalist approach inside, that proves that concrete and wood go well together. I ordered the coffee flight to just get a profile of their beans. Ground before prep with a San Remo, their espresso is creamy and slightly bitter, gaining more acidity as you let it sit. Their iced coffee has great flavor, very light and bright. They had pour over too, which I will have to try next time. The kettles tell me a lot about their pour over expertise. This place will take time to make your coffee, so please be patient. It is not a high volume, burn the beans, add 10 pumps of HFCS establishment, but a REAL coffee shop. There were people working and studying, so I'm not sure on their policy for time limits etc., but my butt hurt after 15 minutes on the bench! read more
We came across this coffee shop while waiting for our car to be serviced and were pleasantly surprised. It's located in a quiet shopping plaza with easy parking. The inside felt bright, clean, and simple with plenty of tables and chairs for working or just sitting and chatting. It also wasn't overly crowded, which made it even nicer. We tried a couple of the seasonal drinks, and both were great. The banana cream mocha was creamy and not too sweet, which I really liked. You could actually taste the chunks of real banana in their house-made syrup. The pumpkin dirty chai was the perfect fall drink. It had just the right amount of pumpkin and chai spice that complemented the espresso and oat milk nicely. Overall, this place was such a great find with delicious drinks! I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. read more
The rating should be a 4.5 star! I checked out Redshift in lake forest and i really enjoyed it. I ordered a latte with almond milk and a chai tea latte, both were delicious. The latte was smooth and creamy, with a nice balance of espresso and milk. You could really taste the quality of the beans, no bitterness, just a well pulled shot. The chai was super flavorful too, rich and not overly sweet. The syrup is made fresh in the shop. The barista was fast and friendly. The only hiccup was when they added the cinnamon to the chai instead of the latte, which i wanted. The space has a chill, modern vibe, great for hanging out. I will definitely come back. read more

I love coming here for the bumble coffee. I got the combo of espresso+orange juice multiple times while visiting the Philippines and became obsessed with it. I couldn't find this combo anywhere in Socal until I came to Redshift coffee. This coffee shop is a great place to sit and work/study. It's relatively quiet inside and has great ambiance. read more

Third time at Redshift and they do not miss! Tried the ruby tonic (espresso tonic with raspberry syrup) the second time and had to get again this time. Obsessed! My husband ordered the strawberry latte, so good! Shoutout to Kay who helped us out today. They could tell my husband was overwhelmed by the menu and pulled out their phone to show us the app and all the drink photos. Such a fun spot! Haven't been to one of their events but saw some cool photos posted on their Instagram. read more

Came here one afternoon and tried the peach blossom matcha. I like that it's a unique flavor you don't see everywhere, but the matcha itself wasn't very strong and tasted kinda flat. The place is really nice though, bright and spacious with lots of tables, so it's a good spot to sit and get work done. read more
We don't live in the area, but my SIL a true coffee enthusiast, recommended this place since it was one of the few spots still open later in the day. And wow, it did not disappoint! I got the oat vanilla latte and it was so good .. smooth, flavorful, and gave me just the wake-up I needed. They roast their own beans in-house the same day, which you can totally taste in the quality. We were hoping to buy a bag to take home but bummer... they were sold out! If we're ever in the area again, we'll absolutely be stopping by. A hidden gem for sure! read more

I also tried the Honey Lemon Matcha, which was refreshing and not too sweet. Both drinks had a strong and authentic matcha flavor. A nice size coffee shop with ample seating, the music is but a gentle breeze in the background created a relax type of vibe to enjoy your coffee and perhaps study or work. The girl at the register was so sweet and everyone behind the Coffee making station looked as though they were working their craft with perfection. They have a few tables as well as a window counter with high chairs. The space feels fresh and pleasant. I had the Vanilla flavored Raf Coffee. The Raf Coffee is a popular Russian coffee drink known for its thick, creamy texture and sweet taste. The Coffee was really good and It turned out to have the perfect amount of sweetness. I believe that they use a Vanilla sugar as opposed to an artificial sweetener. It is Healthier and tastier. The prices are average. I really like this place. This menu is very unique! Like orange juice with espresso and carbonated coffee unique. I got the Raf Vanilla coffee because I wasn't feeling adventurous. My sister got the OJ espresso (Bumble Coffee) and didn't end up liking it haha - so you're taking a risk with some of these. They also sell their own beans, pastries, and merch. The thing that really stood out was the amazing service. The sweet woman at the counter was SO helpful in educating us on their menu items and overall just so so so kind. Thank you!!
