This has been one of my go-to coffee shops! The drinks are good and it's fun to see what seasonal drinks they have. My favorite drink from here would have to be the Banana Cream Mocha. Recently, I tried one of their seasonal drinks: the Very Strawberry Cream. There's strawberry foam on top with strawberry jam around the cup. I really loved the combination of all the flavors, but I would ask for less of the jam next time. Parking is super easy to find, there is a bathroom, reliable wifi. I love interacting with the staff. They're all really nice. I saw one of the baristas run out to their car once and then came back to give their pokemon cards to one of the kiddos in the cafe. It was such a sweet interaction to see. The cafe itself is also really cute! A few tables to work or catch up with a friend. Highly recommend! read more

I've been going here on and off since they opened about 2 years ago. My regular is usually their vanilla oat latte. But I go through phases where I'll get their raff coffee or the bananna cream mocha. I also like their short and salty. I've had the bumble coffee but it wasn't for me. Their in-house syrups are pretty good and coffee/espresso generally taste like a smooth pull. There has been maybe twice where the vanilla oat latte was a bit lacking on the vanilla flavor but besides that they're generally consistent and good. The app is really useful too if you're in a hurry in the mornings! I'd definitely recommend this place. read more

I have been meaning to try this place for a while and I finally did. The coffee shop has ample amounts of seating inside, and they also have a decent amount of outdoor seating. I love that they offer coffee flights which is always fun to sit around and try. I order a strawberry coffee off the summer menu and it was amazing. I've visited Redshift on the weekend and also during the week, and I would say it's much livelier on the weekends. This is clearly a well-loved spot for studying or catching up with friends. RAF coffee was definitely a treat, super smooth and creamy, and I can see why it's popular. I think the banana mocha is a great drink for folks who aren't huge coffee drinkers. Bumble coffee was a bit too acidic for me with the OJ. Prices are reasonable and their seasonal drinks are novel enough that I plan to return on a semi-regular basis. read more

Wanted to try a coffee shop in the area that wasn't a chain, and I was delighted to stumble upon Redshift. They're located right off of a major freeway, so in terms of location, I thought it was convenient! Parking was easy and no issues, even in a weekend! Woohoo! Didn't want anything too sweet, so the barista recommended the Oat Vanilla Latte. I will say that I was surprised and disappointed when I asked for my drink to be extra hot, and the staff worker said they were unable to do that. Unfortunately, that was enough for me to be turned off, cause sure enough, as soon as I got my drink, it was hot, but not as hot as I would like my hot drink especially on a cold day. And for the cost, not sure I would come back. It's definitely cute inside, and a great place to meet up with friends or for a day date, but other than that, not sure I'd pay that much for a not so hot drink. Customer service was average. Place has limited seating and most tables were taken. Not too loud, but definitely a baby making some unusually peculiar noises (probably should get that checked out.) Decaf oat latte with house made caramel. Wife said it was above average. Oat Vanilla latte was good (those are vanilla bean, not black pepper like my son says?!) I like their roast. I would say with all the great coffee places nearby, that I wouldn't revisit this place. But it was good nonetheless. read more

Redshift Coffee Roasters is a nice place to pick up a cup of bougie-priced coffee. When I'm paying $6 for a latte, I would like to taste the unique notes of the bean. This is just my preference, though, as not everyone is looking to taste flavored notes in their coffee. Don't get me wrong, the latte was not bad, it was just a basic latte where I could hardly taste the coffee. I also didn't like how they don't list out what is in their specialty coffees such as their Bumble Coffee and RAF. I was pretty disappointed to find out what they are as it is just flavorings added to the espresso. Again, not my preference to flavor up my lattes that compete with the lackluster coffee taste. I do see the appeal of this place being that it's the only "fancy" coffee shop around, so if you're looking for a bougie coffee place while trying to escape the over populated Starbucks. Oh this cafe is sooo lovely. New favorite! There's such a nice and gentle feel to this place. My friend and I came here on a rainy Sunday morning and it was so cozy inside :) The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. I especially loved their raspberry croissant, which was sweet and filled with a yummy raspberry jam. I've never had anything like it, so interesting! I got a flat tire but thankfully had run-flat tires, so I drove slowly to America's Tire and left my car there while they worked on it. Since I was in the area and was not my usual route... Came on a rainy Saturday morning since I was looking for a coffee shop right off the 5 freeway and Redshift has been on my list to try for awhile. The coffee shop is bright and clean with table seating along the walls. It was lively on a Saturday morning after 10am, even on a rainy day! In my eyes, it takes a lot to be a highly rated coffee shop. With so many options for coffee in Orange County, it's hard to pick and choose, and even harder to find one worth of repeat business. Inside is sleek, modern, clean. A long bench and tables for 2 line the wall, with a few patio tables for 2 outside. I'm in love with the minimalist approach inside, that proves that concrete and wood go well together. I ordered the coffee flight to just get a profile of their beans. Ground before prep with a San Remo, their espresso is creamy and slightly bitter, gaining more acidity as you let it sit. Their iced coffee has great flavor, very light and bright. They had pour over too, which I will have to try next time. The kettles tell me a lot about their pour over expertise. This place will take time to make your coffee, so please be patient. It is not a high volume, burn the beans, add 10 pumps of HFCS establishment, but a REAL coffee shop. There were people working and studying, so I'm not sure on their policy for time limits etc., but my butt hurt after 15 minutes on the bench! read more

We came across this coffee shop while waiting for our car to be serviced and were pleasantly surprised. It's located in a quiet shopping plaza with easy parking. The inside felt bright, clean, and simple with plenty of tables and chairs for working or just sitting and chatting. It also wasn't overly crowded, which made it even nicer. We tried a couple of the seasonal drinks, and both were great. The banana cream mocha was creamy and not too sweet, which I really liked. You could actually taste the chunks of real banana in their house-made syrup. The pumpkin dirty chai was the perfect fall drink. It had just the right amount of pumpkin and chai spice that complemented the espresso and oat milk nicely. Overall, this place was such a great find with delicious drinks! They were very nice and gave us the option to add a banana cold foam on top of our matcha even though it's not an official drink on the menu. It was delicious! The rating should be a 4.5 star! I checked out Redshift in lake forest and i really enjoyed it. I ordered a latte with almond milk and a chai tea latte, both were delicious. The latte was smooth and creamy, with a nice balance of espresso and milk. You could really taste the quality of the beans, no bitterness, just a well pulled shot. The chai was super flavorful too, rich and not overly sweet. The syrup is made fresh in the shop. The barista was fast and friendly. The only hiccup was when they added the cinnamon to the chai instead of the latte, which i wanted. The space has a chill, modern vibe, great for hanging out. I will definitely come back. read more
