We're always looking for kid-friendly places where we can take our toddler and this was the perfect spot. They have this great play area with toys, drawing tools and an arcade machine. I have a peanut allergy, and I'm extremely concerned about how the drink I ordered was presented on the menu. I ordered a coffee called "Choco Nut." There was no description indicating that "nut" meant peanut, and I assumed it referred to something like hazelnut. There was also no obvious peanut/allergen warning, and I was not verbally informed that the drink contained peanut syrup. For someone with a severe peanut allergy, this is not a minor misunderstanding. Peanut is a potentially life-threatening allergen. A customer should not have to guess whether an ambiguous drink name contains peanut, especially when the ingredient is actually peanut syrup. I was fortunate to find out before having a serious reaction. But someone else with a severe allergy could easily order this drink believing "nut" referred to a tree nut or another flavor and unknowingly consume peanut. What concerned me even more was the response when I brought this to the employees' attention. After I firmly explained that customers need to be informed when a drink contains peanut, the employees essentially just asked, "Are you okay?" and moved on. There was no apparent concern about the fact that a potentially life-threatening allergen was not clearly disclosed, or about making sure other customers with allergies wouldn't have the same experience. Please take this seriously and clearly identify peanut-containing ingredients on the menu and ensure staff are prepared to communicate allergen information. This is a safety issue, not simply a matter of preference or taste. read more

I ordered two Choc Nut Latte and it tasted really good and pretty strong. (I actually had coffee in the morning already and ordered this in the afternoon, so I couldn't finish yesterday bc it's pretty strong for me). Anyway, I ordered it with Oat Milk but they got my order wrong and gave me almond milk instead. It's okay for me to drink the Almond Milk and I don't mind it, but my sister is allergic so we had to go back and have them change it to oat milk instead. They did so and remade the drink and also gave a free brownie for the hassle. The ambiance of the place is cute, clean and modern. Very cool place to chill and hangout while you enjoy your coffee. It is a cute place for sure with the decor but I am not a fan of places that do not post their prices so you don't know how much the coffees cost? Imagine if you went to a restaurant and the waiter gives you a menu with no prices next to the dishes.... Would you still eat there? Would you go back? Decided on trying out this coffee shop & it was a pleasant experience & my Ube Latte was delicious. Staff were friendly & knowledgeable of their menu & answered all my questions. The shop is a decent size & has an adorable area for toddlers which makes it a great place for mamas to be able to hangout for coffee time inside away from the heat. We randomly walked into this coffee shop, and the name sounded familiar. When we greeted the baristas and asked about the place, I was excited to learn it's a Filipino-owned coffee shop! It's wonderful to experience nostalgic flavors like calamansi and ube. Although they don't make the pastries in-house, they source them locally, so it's a great way to support small businesses. We tried the "Tito Palmer," and it was sooo good! It was a bit too sour for my partner, so I took a sip and asked if they could add a bit more tea. Thoroughly enjoyed Kape! It's a local Filipino inspired coffee shop, relatively quiet and lots of space to get some work done. I ordered the Turon latte which had a lovely banana taste. While I do like their service in terms of walking though the options and their location, I didn't actually like the coffee that much hence 3.5/5. I tried their cold foam flight. To be fair, the foam was dairy alternative and i asked them for everything to be light on sugar. The flight comes with 4 diff base cold brews, 4 flavors of cold foam. The sesame one has no sugar so they recommend adding vanilla or some syrup. They don't have stevia or SGfree on hand. I saw a lot of people get their banana matcha which they described as pseudo boba because of the actual fruit in the drink. But to be fair, it's called kape. I expected their coffee to be the star and it didn't feel that way. Also it's on the beach so parking will be a block away and there's a little uphill walk to be aware of read more

The space is spacious and inviting, with clean restrooms, plenty of seating, and thoughtful touches that make you want to stay awhile. Saw this spot on Yelp after completing a hike in the area. We were intrigued by the seasonal menu and the pictures of the drinks with the delicious cream tops! I had no idea there's a lovely cafe like this in my neighborhood if it wasn't for Yelp! The exterior looks unassuming but the interior of the cafe is very very spacious! I was so blown away by the huge space inside. I placed the order online ahead of time but my drink wasn't ready when arriving. That's ok as I wanted it decaf but the option wasn't available when I initially placed the order. Parking is free and plentiful right in front of the cafe. My coffee tasted like chocolate milk with coffee notes! Super velvety and creamy. Not too sweet, just how I enjoy it. They have other unique flavored goodies I am looking forward to trying out next. I found this hidden coffee spot in Laguna Niguel on a Sunday afternoon and I am glad I did. It is a very spacious coffee spot in a business center with plenty of parking. I really wanted to like this spot but was very disappointed by this spot each time I went. The plaza has plentiful parking which is nice. The space of the cafe itself is very open but they don't utilize it the best so there's not a ton of tables inside however I haven't seen this place that packed. They have fast wifi as well which is good for getting work done. For drinks, I have tried both the choc nut latte as well as the Kape matcha latte. The choc nut is essentially a PB mocha but the peanut butter flavor was absent for me and the coffee itself tasted watered down. The Kape matcha is a matcha latte with condensed milk but I didn't really taste the sweetness from the condensed milk and the matcha was very poor in quality and tasted like grass water. The ube ensaymada was probably the only thing that was decent that I would recommend. read more

Stopped by and had a really nice experience overall. The staff was super friendly, and there's a big parking lot, which made it really easy to stop by. The space inside is huge with plenty of seating. Their menu has a lot of Filipino-inspired drinks that looked really yummy, and I honestly wanted to try several of them. I ended up ordering the Iced Matcha Latte ($7.49). It was very smooth and not bad at all, though I do wish the matcha flavor were a little stronger. The Almusal Sammy, a Filipino breakfast sandwich with egg, sweet sausage (or longanisa in Filipino term), sharp (?) cheddar was tasty but was a teeny tiny bit and was like a version of a Macdo egg sausage sandwich. It's all prepared and heated in the microwave! A typical Filipino breakfast is hearty. I had a Turon Latte, another missed one, sadly. Turon is a typical banana or plantain rolled in a spring roll coated in brown sugar and caramelized. The latte's flavor was no closer to what it is supposed to be. It was very light. The coffee shop is very spacious, almost felt like an empty room. There's a kid's corner and a small merchandise section that occupy the space with few tables and chairs around. My wife is a Filipina and we had high hopes when going to this cafe because it is supposed to have Filipino drinks and food. It's a beautiful, spacious cafe. Only it's a little too spacious, with lots of empty space in the cafe. So instead of a cozy cafe, it's a really big one with tables far from each other. The menu board for drinks doesn't have any prices on it so I had to ask the price for the drinks that we were interested in, which is awkward and the woman behind the counter seemed a little impatient with my asking her the prices. Later on, I asked one of the staff why there were no prices next to the drinks and she said that was the way the owner wanted it. I ordered a 12 oz. Americano coffee, my wife a Turon Latte and we shared an Almusal Sammy, a Filipino breakfast sandwich with egg, sweet sausage, and sharp cheddar. While my coffee was good, my wife said her Turon Latte didn't taste like turon at all, more like a watered-down mocha. The Almusal Sammy was a serious disappointment. It was a small, flavorless egg McMuffin-type sandwich (only an egg McMuffin is a lot better) that had only was partially microwaved. It was served lukewarm in a small box, even though we were dining in. My wife and I visited the Philippines last year and this sandwich definitely wouldn't have passed muster there. read more
