Beef Lo Mein

My absolute favorite spot to get Lo Mein. I have been going here for over a decade now and love it every single time. Quick fast and easy meal! The staff here is always so friendly, quick and efficient with my order.

Generally agree with other reviews that this is an OK spot for Chinese takeaway - the menu is mostly Americanized with your standard General Tso, Lo Mein, Chow Fun, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, Spring Rolls, etc. The pricing is pretty reasonable for the convenience and portion, especially the lunch special combinations (which include a spring/egg roll and fried rice). The service is friendly and quick. I'd come back here for a quick take out order if I'm in the area.

I'm back. I had the Triple Delight again. It's very good. The service has definitely gotten better over the years. Quick service too.

Food is good for fast take out place and prices are pretty good as well and service is always good. Friendly and nice.

Moo shi pork. Yum. A little sweet, but good

After being disappointed by countless other Chinese takeout spots in the area, I really got to give it to China King. I've been coming to their different locations for about 10 years and they are consistently good now that I have figured out what I like here. The value is great. It's casual and fast. Lady at the counter is nice. Not the best I've ever had, but solid value and consistency makes this my favorite go to in the area when I don't want to venture far to get my favorite. ...and the icing on the cake, China King has the BEST egg rolls in town. Seriously, I've been on an egg roll kick lately, and I've been trying them all. Most places have crappy egg rolls, with just cabbage or some boring mix. China Kings egg rolls actually have some meat in them and the flavor is hands down my favorite in town. Like I've actually gone there and ordered JUST an egg roll good.

Not sure what this place is serving. How do you mess up beef and broccoli? Wasted money. Eh--you win some, you lose some.

I was really craving hand pulled noodles. Luckily I stumbled upon Yo Noodles as the closest thing…read moreto me (about an hour drive). What I enjoyed about Yo more than a place like Dumpling District (very similar in menu) was the quality and vibes of the service and atmosphere. The servers were very helpful to explain the dishes to my family members who needed some help. The food hit! The Spicy dry noodles are definitely what drew me to come here and they did not disappoint. My kids loved the pork chops. The seafood soup was loaded! The flavors were exceptional. And for as much food as we order, the price was pretty reasonable! We look forward to our next visit!

For example, the Panfried Pork Bun used to be my favorite item here but they've changed the recipe significantly. The pork filling used to be a lot larger and juicier...but now when you break open the bun, the filling is so small that half of the bun doesn't even have any meat. 80% of the bun is just dough and it's not fried well and quite greasy. Everything overall was way too greasy, including the crueller and the dry noodles were swimming in oil. I did like the texture of the noodles, but unfortunately it was overshadowed by the oiliness of the broth it was sitting in. It's really sad to see this place fall short since it opened a couple years ago. I'm hoping that they can improve their quality of food as it's really gone downhill since opening.

I'm glad Peter is done hiding and can open restaurants regularly without threat of being deported…read moreor kidnapped by Chinese spies. The food is great and the service is quick and attentive. I was here twice over the last two months. The first time, I ordered off the regular menu. The second time, I did the AYCE dim sum/tapas. Obviously, ordering a la carte, you'll get larger portions. It was all fantastic. The server was attentive and friendly. Dishes came out lightning fast. And the food itself was stellar! I'll let the photos speak for themselves. You can't go wrong here, especially if you're getting one of the AYCE specials (there's a similar one at Mama Chang's). I want to note though, three of the dishes have the same flavor profile, just different main ingredients: spicy dry fish, spicy dry cauliflower, and dry fried spicy eggplant. They use dry fried red chili and ground Szechuan peppercorn. If you like this, great! Just know it's the same seasoning across these dishes. I didn't take photos of everything, but if it's braised pork xxxx, get it! I will gladly return to this location or Mama Chang's for another AYCE adventure.

Located off of busy Centreville Road in Herndon, DMV legendary restaurateur Peter Chang opened this latest establishment in September 2024. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended for their Bottomless weekend brunch; and especially if you have a large group, as we did. There is limited parking right in front, but drive a bit further for a larger lot across the street within a 2-3 min walk. The interior is modern with the familiar high ceilings, exposed duct work, faux greenery, and Asian themed artwork. Combined with the choice of almost tropical like tables and chairs, the decor was giving off serious Malaysia vibes. When our server arrived, she explained that diners could choose items from EITHER the Chinese Tapas or Traditional Dim Sum menu, which is awesome since this allows for the culinary options of over 45+ items!!! Depending on the size of your group, I would suggest ordering 6-8 items at a time, since the plates are small (about a 1-2 person serving size). And TBH, I like this style of AYCE as opposed to the the usual long steam tables of food which just sits underneath heat lamps, and has tongs which have been handled by lots of people...yuck! And for the restaurant, it helps to limit food waste. Over the next 90 minutes (time limit for the AYCE brunch), we sampled so many items, but some of the standouts were: * Crystal Shrimp Dumpling (har gow) - wrapper wasn't too thick, and the shrimp filling was plentiful and had excellent flavor * Steamed pork and shrimp shu mai - very good version of a dim sum staple. * Beef Chow Fun - noodles could've had more "wok hei" flavor, but beef was tender and not too salty. * Soup Dumplings (Xiao Long Bao) - good amount of seasoned soup inside the wrapper with tasty pork filling * Salt and pepper shrimp - peeled shrimp was flash fried, but not rubbery. It was topped with a salty peppery crunchy topping. We had several rounds of this dish. * Black Sesame egg yolk bao - creamy and not too sweet eggy filling, inside the soft black sesame bao I will detract one star for the service, however. Im my estimation, the place is understaffed for the volume of customers. Water and tea was a bit slow to arrive (after 8 min of sitting down) and it was challening to flag down our server to order more items; hence the reason it's recommended to get multiple dishes at one time. But at the end of the meal, everyone was quite pleased and satisfied, most importantly, mom and dad enjoyed the experience. When the check arrived, our party of 10 had ordered 40 items. With tax and tip, the total came out to a tad under $400. Tbh, for the quality and variety of food, $40/person is a good deal. I can definitely envision Peter Chang's weekend bottomless brunch being a monthly occurrence for me.

It's all flavors/dishes that are familiar to me growing up in a Chinese household or that I love of Korean cuisine, so I definitely enjoyed dining here! They gave us banchan and dessert on the house which was so kind! I had a nibble of most the dishes and would recommend the spicy bulgogi stir fry, soy glazed brisket, and jjajangmyeon. Can't go wrong with any of the small plates too! Service was impeccable and Happy Hour is every day 3-6pm.

The dining room isn't very big, and since we came for an early dinner, we had our pick and chose a four-top with a view. Well... the view was basically the Paris Baguette that's across the street. The general manager came by to take our order. To drink, I had a mocktail, "house-made lime cooler," which consists of "pureed Asian pear, lime juice, and Sichuan tea." I found it to be very refreshing. My husband had a Coors Light. For my entree, I chose "Soy glazed brisket" which consists of "2Fifty Texas BBQ brisket, soy brined soft egg, furitake butter, pickled peppers, steamed rice". I liked this entree. It was mildly spiced; the pieces of brisket were properly prepared; the pickled peppers added some heat; and the soy-brined soft egg was a nice touch. The egg was soft-boiled, and the egg yolk provided a nice flavor. My husband chose "JJayJangmeon" which consists of "shrimp, scallops, roasted black bean sauce, noodles". The dish is made with wheat noodles. It arrived hot and with a nice vegetable garnish on top. The greenness of the vegetables made a nice contrast to the dark brown sauce. That brown sauce was hot, mild, and thoroughly coated the dish's ingredients. It seemed a bit unusual to see a dish with shrimp and scallops coated in a mild black bean sauce, but it worked nicely. The shrimp arrived tail-less, and the scallops were soft and not rubbery, both properly prepared. I was glad not to have to fight with the shrimp tails. All in all, we were glad we made a return visit.

Be prepared to hunt for the place if you've never been to the shopping center, which is quite close to Route 7. We were here around 4 p.m. on a Saturday. At that time of day, there was one occupied table. Ordering food means going to the counter and giving your order to the person working there, and then paying. They have a menu on the wall, but the woman working there told us to look at the paper menu. Apparently, the menu on the wall is constantly changing. Before coming, we decided to order Mongolian beef, ma po tofu, and two small bowls of hot and sour soup. At first, my husband couldn't find the Mongolian beef on the menu. I took a look and found it is listed under the chef's specials. We gave our order and also got a can of ginger ale from the refrigerated chest. After paying, we chose a four top table for ourselves. The food came out quickly! First, the hot and sour soup came. It was served hot and did have some kick to it. We both enjoyed it. It does have quite a few button mushrooms in it, which I gave to my husband. Just as we were finishing the soup, both our entrees arrived. We both liked the Mongolian beef (which also had an abundance of button mushrooms). The sauce was tasty, and the beef was tender. As for the ma po tofu, we thought it was okay but could have been better. It's a meat-free entree that basically has large pieces of tofu, a lot of thin, spicy sauce, and bits of green onions. We each were given generous portions of white rice. We would consider visiting again in the future, as the service was excellent. As for ambiance, it has a carry-out place feel.
