Still a very solid Chinese restaurant in Leesburg. Impressed with their lunch special, very affordable!. It is a very attractive sit down restaurant and does an active takeout business. Of all the dishes, we tried for lunch, the only item that was not impressive was the spring roll. In its favor, it was not greasy, it just wasn't very interesting inside the wonton. This restaurant serves truly authentic Chinese cuisine. The atmosphere here is very comfortable and unassuming. Very authentic decoration. The food comes out as it is made nice fresh and hot. We got take out and it was ready quickly. We were a bit disappointed in the egg rolls, as they were pretty greasy. But my mu shut pork was delicious, lots of meat and big chunks of vegetables. Take out Chinese in a strip mall- you know what you are getting, you know you want it. You can order ahead or order to go, classic menu is plentiful and reasonable prices, just don't go off menu. The first thing I noticed was the Black beans in the Hunan Beef, which was a nice surprise and something you don't typically see in Americanize Chinese food joints, so bonus points for that. In addition the beef was good and not rubbery, and a good balance of meat and vegetables with a good variety as well. For the price point this was a solid dish. (For the uninitiated these aren't your Mexican style black beans, but Chinese black soybeans, very different taste profile) The lo mein similarly was quite good, very favorable and not bland at all, which I've definitely and encountered in other places around the area. I would have liked to see some scallion in the dish but all told it was a solid dish. My friend took me here for lunch. It's in a shopping mall. It's not very big inside but it doesn't feel that tiny. They have a zen fountain which is really nice. You can seat yourself and they bring crunchy strips to the table. Anyhow they were good until our food came out. I ordered off the lunch menu and got sweet & sour chicken, fried rice, and egg roll. My friend got the sesame chicken with fried rice. For my dish the fried portion tasted homemade not weird looking chicken nuggets. I got my own bowl of sweets sour sauce which was nice bc sometimes they put to much. And last but not least the fried rice I couldn't get enough of :) read more

Ordered from here the day after Christmas. The inside is decorated nice with lots of plants and two nice young girls at the counter. However the food was very bland. The best thing we got was the spring rolls. The generals tso's was rubbery, the moo shoo pork flavorless, and the fried rice just ok. Better options around town. read more

The decor is super cute, and the restaurant appears well-kept and clean. I ordered the shrimp lo mein, and it came out in a timely fashion (and without carrots, as requested). Yum! The food is good- not great, but it fits the bill. There is an odd young girl at the desk. Not sure if she even speaks English. I know that the older folks there don't. We ordered off of yelp after seeing a movie. Yelpeat24 worked pretty well. Not sure anyone had ever used that service with Panda before. The whole staff seemed shocked that I ordered and paid. Love this place, but they changed their dumpling recipe and now it's super thin instead of thick like they used to be. The little girl at the front said her dad could still do the old version, which was music to my ears, but when I brought my order home, it was the new version :( Still my go to for hot and sour (or any soup), general tso, lo mein, etc. I do feel bad for the probably 11-year-old girl who always looks grumpy about being stuck on the cash register because she has the best English. Boy, was I wrong...I ordered our favorite dinner for two, Spring rolls and Hunan Chicken. The Spring rolls looked and tasted like they came large frozen bag left in the freezer too long and cooked till they were dead. The Hunan chicken was boring, at best. Don't know why more people don't come here?! This is a lovely family run business. The prices are fair for what you get and the service is excellent. Don't be discouraged if no one is inside when you drive by, they make the food after you order and everything comes out fresh. I have to say this was the most awkward experience. When we walked through the door there was nobody there at seven o'clock on a weekend. Working at the cash register were three children. They did not acknowledge us when we entered and rather then asking us what we wanted they stared at us blankly. They did not know how to treat customers and were clearly unhappy to be there. I hate this place. The layout is terrible. An L shade with no rhyme or reason. Once you go around the elbow of the L shape forget it. People are lined up blocking going back to see what they have. No one greeted our party of three when we came in. So we sat down only to be greeted by truly the worst waitress I have ever had. The only edible part was the crunchy noodles they put out to snack on. I asked for an ice tea and they said they don't have ice tea. Then another member of our table asks for a snapple- guess what- It's ice tea! Not only did none of our appetizers come out at the same time neither did our dinner. Had to ask for a refill and dishes to be removed from the table. The chicken lomein was drowned in so much soy sauce you could feel your blood pressure rising from the salt. 100% accurate what other people are saying. There IS a scowling 10 year old girl working at the front counter. At least four other reviewers have mentioned her negatively as well. She was rude and didn't understand simple questions the people in my group were asking. SUPER simple questions, like what vegetables are in a certain dish, or if the lunch special came with an egg roll, soup, and soda, or was it choose one. She got even more flustered and became more rude. Get this girl out of there. 1. She has no business working since she is far too young and doesn't fully grasp the English language yet. 2. She is outrageously awful at customer service. Kids should know they shouldn't talk to adults like that, and it makes it even worse that she's an employee talking like a customer in such a manner. This is not a place for eat-in. They have a 10 year old girl (no exaggeration) taking orders at tables and she clearly did not want to be there. She came up to our table and asked, "Whaddya want?" Then, she didn't write down what we ordered and as anyone could predict, totally botched the order. It took a long time for the food to come out and then it was only one of the two meals we were supposed to get. And it wasn't anything we had ordered. At that point, we just gave up, walked out and went elsewhere. I have no idea if the food is any good. We never got that far. But we won't be returning. This was supposed to be a meal out for us and kids waiting on tables is not a real good idea. I won't even get into the legality of it. read more

Inconsistent food. The steamed dumplings are good, but the wontons in the wonton soup are the worst I've had. The "chicken teriyaki" is NOT teriyaki. Maybe that's so they can call themselves 'Asian Fusion' instead of just 'Chinese Food", IDK, but that's not what fusion is anyway. The main reason that I will not return is the SCOWLING child that is at the register! Starts off promising the waitress is very nice very nice. The tables are shinny and everything is clean. The colored lights over the tables are like an art form with beautiful artistic glass. Then she walked out with a platter that we didn't order then she says that it is on the house to show our appreciation off our customers. Finally after 15 minutes from stepping inside we get our main meal it was the best chicken and broccoli i have ever had i also liked the sesame chicken and the hot crunchy beef. Really good. We had the sesame chicken, shrimp & vegetables, egg drop soup, and rangoons. Everything turned out very tasty with the chicken nicely breaded without too much coating and not overcooked (a frequent issue at various restaurants). It was our first time eating here (actually delivery which took just about 45 mins on a Saturday night) and we'd eat from there again. Nice to finally find a good go-to place in Leesburg. read more

Panda Cafe is a friendly, clean, delicious place to eat in Leesburg. We have done carry out and dine in with great experiences both times. The food is fresh, not from a can. It is good. I would give this place 3 1/2 stars. I had the general tso chicken and it was fresh and the sauce is the taste you expect, sweet but spicy.
