Okay, so I wanted to start this review with just saying that this man who worked here was very nice and a super hard worker. God Bless you man. I really appreciate your work ethic and that you worked so hard even though you were the only person who was there. This man single handedly made our order of 4 trays, meaning we got 4 spring rolls, 4 parts fried rice, and orders of Lo Mein, Double Fried Pork, General Tso's, Kung Pao. That is a lot of food and I respect you greatly. Now onto the review. Walking into this restaurant we were greeted by a sticker that said, "People love us on Yelp" immediately prompting me to look at all parts of the restaurant as to make a great review. We were excited and hungry when we walked in and asked for our order as stated above. And as stated above there was only one man who worked there. Because he was the only man there, it took 42 minutes of waiting for that food to arrive and although the food was pretty tasty, it wasn't nearly worth the wait. I already stated my gratitude towards the worker there and I'll do it again. The Spring Rolls we had were fine and seemed average maybe a little below average. The Fried Rice was the same, I've had better I've had worse. Plus it was luke-warm. The General Tso's was absolutely PEAK! It was spot-on man. Same with the Kung Pao which tasted really good. The Lo-Mein however had minimal flavor and needed soy sauce and more veggies. The Double Fried Pork was very chewy but the sauce was really good. Overall, I did like the food somewhat and the only problem was that we waited 42 minutes. If the workers there are reading this, I would recommend having at least 2 people on the job at all times because 42 minutes is way too long. If anyone is reading this review and goes to this restaurant, please bring your phone, go into the bathroom, lift up the lid on the trash can, and see if there is still a picture of that one man on the bottom part of the lid. I warn you, it's on a dead end street off the Leesburg Pike. But there's plenty of parking. This Chinese restaurant is a tiny hole in the wall on a back street. The gentleman who took my order, cooked my food, and served me is authentic. The food was authentic, albeit not the highest quality. To be fair, I live in the Pacific Northwest where five star Chinese is ubiquitous. The room seats two dozen people, but it was almost empty It's not high-end, and I suspect he does a lot of take out business. Last minute takeout order tonight and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and the value. The chicken Lo Mein was delicious, the little wife had vegetable LoMein and she was also very pleased. Wonton Soup was a generous portion loaded with fresh made wontons. Egg rolls nice n crispy. I am reviewing on the food that was catered at a recent event. I got there late so I was eating everything cold but it was still so very good! I particularly loved the crab rangoon, which is a dish I order regularly when I eat Chinese food, and the shrimp toast! I have never heard or had shrimp toast before so this was my unexpected favorite! I also enjoyed the lo mein and other things I tried but have no idea what they are called. I asked for the scallions and beef but ended up with scallops and beef, I first asked if they have boneless spare ribs and pretty sure they put an order of the spare ribs, was super fatty even, just threw it out. Crab Rangoon's were hard and no flavor in filling. Only good turn out was the sesame chicken I got. When I went to pick up the food, guy could not stop trying to make conversation. This place will fulfill your Chinese food craving for sure! I was in the area and wanted some good Chinese food. Yelp pointed me to this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. I tried a variety of dishes including general tso's, sesame chicken, chicken fried rice, and chinese style deep-fried salty shrimp. First of all, both the general tso's and sesame chicken were perfectly crispy- not soggy like many restaurants. The excess batter on the chicken is removed before its fried, which leads to the right level of crispness. Next, the chicken fried rice is flavorful and not oily. The rice has a nice texture. I could tell that it was made fresh! Finally, my favorite dish was the chinese style deep-fried salty shrimp. The shrimp was incredibly savory and had a delightful crunch to it. This shrimp dish will always be my go-to dish! Definitely try it if you ever come here. The restaurant has a homey feeling that made me feel very comfortable and warm. In addition, the staff is super friendly. The restaurant is owned and ran by a family of extremely nice people. The service is grade A! Overall, this restaurant is 10/10- would recommend! This is the place to go for authentic Chinese food. Their general tso's and other fried dishes were so crispy because they don't use too much batter to fry it. My pet peeve is eating fried foods where i feel like I have to get through a layer of dough before getting to the actual meat. They also made sure the chicken is not dripping in oil unlike other Chinese restaurants I've been to. Portions are very generous for the price and could feed me for 2 meals! Even though there are many other Chinese restaurants in the area, this place definitely stands out to me because of the service. I've never felt such hospitality from a Chinese restaurant before. I feel like most of the time service at other Chinese restaurants I've been to are not a priority. Usually the staff would be pretty distant and their main purpose would just to take your order, bring you food, and then bring the check. Simple as that. However at Wei's Garden, they take the time to get your order correct and recommend dishes that would suit your tastes. They are so friendly that it definitely made my dining experience very enjoyable. Being that this is a family-owned restaurant, they made me feel like I was part of the family! I have been going to Wei's Garden since I was 10. Today is my 20th birthday, and I have to say- nothing has changed. Sweet staff (that have a little trouble with English) and great food. I've had plenty of Chinese across Northern VA- and this is EASILY THE BEST. They know my family now and give us free egg rolls. Food is fresh and has real substance to it. I always get the sesame chicken with pork dumplings. Some things you can't beat. Wei's Garden is one of them. It seems like some people have had really negative experiences here, and that's incredibly unfortunate. I'd easily call this place the Best Chinese in Loudoun County. Definitely worth a try- just make sure to call ahead. read more

Love this place! The sweet couple that owns it are very friendly, and the husbands broken english is as endearing as the rest of the place. I swear ive gotten something free almost every time i go. Last time they brought out fries for my toddler and gave us a couple free waters. But i dont go for freebies, the food is great too! Ive tried a few different items and theyve all been great. My favorite is probably the orange chicken. The food is always hot and fresh. This seems to be in part because even if you call ahead, they dont start your food until you arrive. We tried this place because of the reviews...but I have a sneaking feeling the 5 stars are friends & family as the bad ones are actually local people to the restaurant. **Just confirmed the first 3 reviews with 5 stars are all friends on each other's profile. Rigged reviews- I think so.** We did delivery since the reviews say this is not an eat in. We DID NOT place our order at high dinner hour. We placed it at 4:30pm. After an hour of waiting we called. The lady told us it was on its way- within 10 minutes. Another 30 minutes went by. Food finally arrived with free spring rolls for lateness. Hmmm...how did you have time to do that if our food was on its way? Total delivery time 90 minutes! The free spring rolls were cold & bland. Nothing but cabbage in them. Had to drown them in duck sauce to make them palatable. The crab rangoon is nasty. It should be cream cheese & crab. The triangles delivered clearly had regular cheese in it. Bleh! The BBQ ribs were ok. We had ordered Shrimp in Lobster sauce, chicken fried rice, and 2x cooked pork. Shrimp in Lobster- clearly they took the ingredients and dumped it into egg drop soup rather than making the velvet egg sauce. There were two different types of shrimp in it and they were small. They also cut up fake crab and put it in. Weird. The flavor was palatable but I would not eat it again. The chicken fried rice was so flavorless that it required 4 packs each of soy & duck to make it have any flavor. The pork was fried in chunks for some reason even though that dish does not fry the pork. It was drenched in mediocre sauce. We will be going back to our regular place- China King in old town Leesburg. At least they are good and the public says so too! I'm hoping our experience was not the norm since I'm reading a lot of positive reviews on Yelp and Google. Terrible. Bland. Long wait. For the absolute WORST Chinese food we ever ordered! Came in around 2PM on a Saturday with one small table of four in the restaurant, so figured the wait wouldn't be terrible. Ordered pretty basic dishes (Szechuan shrimp, lemon chicken, chop suey, shrimp panko) and the man running the counter was apparently also the cook, couldn't speak any English, and walked away several times in the middle of our order - before we even completed our very basic order - to cook other dishes in the back of the kitchen. It took over 10 minutes to order four items between his leaving and us trying to translate our food request! After almost an hour wait, we got an explanation from an employee that came in after we were there for about 30 mins. that we need to call ahead for "chef specials" (lemon chicken dish?) next time. Needless to say, we were expecting pretty amazing food for the wait and effort, but were sorely disappointed! The chicken tasted so disgusting and old -we threw it out. The lemon sauce had NO flavor at all. Chop suey was not great. Bland and also flavorless. The best part of the meal was the free crab ragoons we received from the sympathetic employee who told us to call in next time...I'm just glad the meal wasn't super expensive, but we still ended up tossing most of it out. I would not recommend this place to anyone (and we certainly won't return). Very sad and disappointed since we love to frequent small businesses and locally-owned restaurants. read more

We have lived in Leesburg for 15 years and previously only frequented 1 Chinese restaurant in town. We found a couple of great dishes and stuck to them. Today we decided to try Wei's Garden for the first time. This is our new go to Chinese place in Leesburg! My wife had the General Tsao's Chicken. It was crispy, not overly breaded, and the sauce was excellent. The sauce was not the typical syrupy red type; balanced. My son had the salt and pepper shrimp. It was a HUGE portion of shrimp again lightly breaded with a nice salt and pepper dusting along with some fried jalapenos. My two younger kids shared the Taiwanese style noodles. They ALWAYS order this wherever we go so this was a big test. They were good nicely, not to dry and big on flavor. Better than any version of this dish that we've had in all of NVA. Finally, I ordered the chicken and black bean sauce. I'm not complaining but this was almost all meat! Not the usual 50% green bell pepper and onions. The sauce was intense but balanced, by far the best in Leesburg. The only thing I wish they would change is with the dine in service. Don't get me wrong the staff are SUPER nice. I wish they served on real plates with real forks and knives vs disposable stuff. We will be back many times. read more

I really hate to write bad reviews. I really like going to the small mom and pop shops. Anyhow, I went in on Chinese New Year. The place didn't seem busy, there was only one family eating there and another had come in later. Maybe they had lots of phone orders or deliveries or cooking for a big party. Not really sure, because I waited for what seemed like an eternity for our dinner. I didn't see anybody come in to pick up the food or see any food go out for delivery. So maybe an off day, who knows. Anyhow, I first came here when the first opened up a few years ago. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Chicken and Snow Peas, Combo Fried Rice, and Egg Rolls. The food finally came out, about 45-50 minutes later. I only live about 5-10 minutes from the restaurant. When I got home, the food wasn't even super hot. Looks like some of food sat out while others were being cooked. The hot and sour soup was decent, but pretty bland. Sad thing is, this was the best dish of the night. The egg rolls were bland and had no flavor. The Kung Pao Chicken was very dry and was super sweet. Must have used lots of hoisen and or plumb sauce. While the were cooking I noticed that they deep fried the meat first. That is a one technique, but not my thing. I don't like my Kung Pao crunchy. I will give them credit for not putting veggies in it. The other strange thing was, they didn't cook the peanuts with the chicken. They just put the peanuts on top of the chicken and closed the container. The Chicken and Snow Peas were bland, the chicken was tender though. The sauce had no flavor to it. If you are use to having Chicken and Snow Peas in white sauce, you have to ask for it. I didn't and it cooked in a brown sauce. The Combo Fried Rice was very dry. The rice was very clumped together and just tasted like soy sauce. All the meats were dry. I hoped for something good from this place. The first time I went, I thought it was o.k.. We have never eaten AT the restaurant, but ever since we tried it once, this has been our "go-to" Chinese food restaurant for pickup or delivery. I have gotten the Crispy Beef every single time. The portion is big enough for 2 meals and the food is always hot and delicious. My wife always gets Beef Egg Foo Yung and she loves it. Usually eats it for dinner and then 2 more lunches! When I got there at 12 o'clock he had it even started cooking it yet. Then when I called him back he hung up on me twice. I then proceeded to dispute the transaction. Once they realized it was disputed they kept calling my phone for a week asking why. I ordered over $100 worth of food and didn't receive the correct order. After an afternoon of shopping at Leesburg Outlet*, my sister and I were HUNG-RAY! If you've ever been there, it's quite a bit of walking and navigating the cluttered aisles of each store. Normally, I don't eat Chinese. It's just not as vegetarian-friendly or "robust" as Thai. But, there's nothing good to eat around the Outlet. If you're into the fast-food and casual mega-chains, then you're in for a treat. We needed good food, fast .. and must be near the Outlet. I found positive reviews on Wei's Garden. They didn't have a menu online (now there's an image of half the menu available on Google), so it was a risk. I hate not knowing what to order or what's on the menu. With my sister's impeccable driving skills (you know this is sarcasm because we're both Asian women), we eventually found the restaurant after numerous turns and confusion. It is located off the beaten path in a large new office building. The place is really clean (compared to the muckfest that is Chicago and other big city's Chinese restaurant). I was relieved to find several vegetarian-friendly dishes. My sister, a staunch omnivore (which is very unfortunate), is a little obsessed with Americanized food so she ordered General Tso's Chicken. I had the Kung Pao with tofu substitute. My sister thoroughly enjoyed her dish (although there should've been more broccoli), and I was content with mine. Not the best Kung Pao, but far .. far .. from the worse. With a cold can of Dr. Pepper and crispy vegetable eggroll, my tummy was super happy. I totally belched a bitch one a la Homer Simpson after a Duff Beer chug. The reason why I'm giving Wei's Garden five stars is the the service my sister and I received. A small Chinese family runs this restaurant. The wife is one of the most pleasant restaurant owners we've met. She's an unintrusive conversationalist, if that makes sense. Wei's Garden tugs at the heartstrings. They are the nicest people in the Town of Leesburg, but their food is so hit or miss that I can't decide if I love it or not. I'm a huge fan of anything that contains chicken and spices, so naturally I'm attracted to things like Hunan Chicken and General Tso's Chicken. Don't waste your time with the Hunan Chicken, it's very bland and spiceless. The General Tso's Chicken is quite good, though.
