Staff 100% the restaurant had just opened is relatively new & the staff were extremely helpful with explanations of menu options & suggestions of what to order. It is order at the counter only & seat yourself. The inside is pretty much made up of concrete, very clean as it's pretty new. There isn't a lot of personality as far as decorating or personality to the decor. I was surprised & excited as they offer wings!! This is going to be a better go-to spot to grab wings when you have that craving for wings with your pizza. The wing sauce wasn't watered down & the wings were cooked well. They have a few huge bottles of chimac sauce at a self serve beverage station on the side. Its hard to describe the sauce, I tried some on my rice...not teriyaki but sort of but nothing really stood out of me about the sauce you'll just have to try it. I was expecting something like POW with taste since its their signature sauce but it kind of fell a bit flat. Overall nice to have tried it & always nice to have another quick, easy restaurant around. read more

This place is 10 out of 10! I got the spicy chicken bowl w/ kimchi and it was soo good! With the white sauce my food was 20 out of 10! My friend tried the steak bowl and she loved it! She said it was a 7 out of 10 but with the sauce it was 10 out of 10! All together our food was under $25 and it was so much food! The customer service is top tier! I called to place my order with questions and they were very patient while taking my order! They even recommended the spicy chicken over the jerk chicken and I'm glad I listened! She said 15 minutes for my food to be ready but it ready once I got there (about 10 minutes) It was super small on the inside but that's how I knew the food was going to be fire! It's right across from my gym and I didn't realize until a friend recommended it. Overall a hidden gem that needs to be found! I will definitely be back to try the other food on the menu! read more

Great friendly staff assist with your order. Large bowls are large so you get plenty food. Kimchi is awesome and the spicy has just the right amount of heat. Great flavor profiles. Happened upon it by accident but the next trip won't be by accident. read more

Chimac - Spicy beef bowl with kimchi and brown rice. - Chicken Wings Near Me - Houston, Texas

Good food at a reasonable price. The beef and rice is my favorite, I think they could add more seasoning to the dishes. Once you eat the top layer it lacks seasoning beyond the top layer. I still would recommend to anyone if you like Korean style food. read more

Awesome chicken sandwich and the fries will have you drooling! Service was cool and friendly! Place is small, but spacious to eat inside. Check it out if you haven't tried this place. read more

I believe in leaving honest reviews. I believe in congratulations as well as critiques. Today I ordered food and the only feeling I had was regret. To keep this short, my food basically was presented and tasted like no one gave a F$$K, I wish I could rephrase it. Horrible presentation, gritty seafood that tasted like dirt. I was sure this was my go to spot, but after today, I'm definitelynot willing totake any more chances..And I'm definitely unwilling to spend money on an establishment that clearly dropped the ball. I won't even touch on the rest of my order. read more

Oh my goodness! Are you looking for a mouthwatering experience? Well let me tell you about a little gem on FM 1960 called Chimac! It's so good! Every single bowl my family and I have tried has been top tier excellent! Their steak and shrimp bowl tastes like a five star surf and turf! Then their chimac sauce!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can drink it! It's so good and it tastes wonderful on everything. For an affordable yet delicious meal try Chimac on FM 1960! You will thank me later read more

Bomb food! We were craving rice bowls, and ended up ordering from this place randomly. The chicken is very well seasoned, you can taste the citrus soy sauce marinade overnighted. Kimchi fries is not overwhelming at all. Will definitely recommend to all friends. read more

So I've been driving past this place every day to and from work for a year and a half now knowing nothing about it. To be honest, I figured it was just a random fried chicken dive I'd never want to try. Recently though I saw some buzz about it online and I was shocked to see the pictures and videos of the food. Of our dishes, our favorites were the Jerk chicken bowl and the Kimchi fries; amazing. The fried rice is skippable (seemed like ours was just rice and peas?) but this is an affordable place with good food, we will definitely be exploring more of the menu asap! read more

The bowls are our favorite. Delicious, high quality, huge portions, and so cheap! I love their homemade noodles and especially their cabbage! We've also tried their wings which were also excellent. Service is fast and always very friendly. This is a fast food type place and we always order carry-out so not sure what the dining room is like. I wish they'd add a veggie bowl option - or more vegetables in general- but their fried foods seem to be super popular so maybe that's the focus. Anyway - this is a very welcome stop for fast food that's not another cookie cutter chain. Just high quality, inexpensive, delicious fast food! read more

We visited on Friday 5/10/19, around 3pm. Right after walking in main door is the cash register. We were happily greeted by the staff and they waited patiently as we looked at menu. We ordered a little bit of everything to try: fried rice, Honey Garlic Pepper wings, Extra Spicy Wings, Spicy KBBQ wings, Spicy Philly Cheese Steak, Spicy Korean BBQ Beef over Fried Rice. Their sweet tea was delicious, as was the Peach drink. I mixed the two and it was super refreshing! As we paid, the cashier asked if we wanted to try their Bread Pudding while we waited. She gave us two bite-size tastings to sample, saying they are planning on adding it to menu soon. Overall, food was good. Wings were best, Spicy KBBQ Beef was great, Philly Cheese Steak was decent, Fried Rice was ok, Chicken Tenders were dry, Onion Rings could be better. 5 Stars for excellent customer service- truly smiling faces from everyone throughout visit. It felt every inviting and we would definitely recommend!! read more

I hope the owners read this review. I haven't been to this place for over a year. My first visit last year was good. Decent food. Not this time. Chicken and steak were so plain and tasteless. Rice is half cooked. Bought 2 chicken bowls and 2 steak bowls. Ended up mostly in trash. In addition, the meals were given some masonaise sauce instead of the Korean BBQ sauce I used to have last year. Would probably never come back. read more

As there is not a lot of Korean food...actually, there is no Korean food... In the immediate area, I'm thankful that Chimac is here. The portions are generous, and food is quite tasty, and the staff are always professional and have smiles on their faces. I find it's better than fast food, but not quite at the level of a restaurant -- I put it on a slightly higher level than Chipotle. If you're coming with that type of expectation, I think you'll agree with me that it is five stars. read more

This spot has been on my radar since the sign went up! They have a great menu with many options and awesome combos! I went with the spicy Korean bowl - chicken with fried rice. Wow! This bowl is tasty! They give you a great amount of grilled to perfection chicken. Forgot to mention I got the combo so it came with 6 wings and a drink. The fried rice is so good too. Made to perfection Their grilled chicken is perfect! So moist and full of flavor. The combo is so big that it could be easily shared by two people. I also forgot one of the managers was so nice and gave me some bread pudding to try. It was absolutely amazing. Great value for you money here! They have burgers, wings, cheese steaks etc. great menu. Erica is so nice and helped me make a selection. I was very happy with what I got. She was nice and even showed me a freshly made cheese steak. I am very happy with Chimac and I'll be back soon. Hidden gem on 1960! Support this new local business! read more

The restaurant is really cute and looks like an old fast food place. It's clean and the employees are friendly. I've come to this place twice and both times the fried rice really disappointed me. It was mushy. I loved the boneless wings tho. Really juicy and flavorful. I'd definitely go back for the wings and possibly sandwiches but not for the rice bowls or the burritos. read more

Ordered takeout and the food was ready in fairly short order. It was our first visit, and the staff patiently went over the menu and made recommendations. The portions were large, the food was delicious, and it was reasonably priced. Honestly, you can't ask for much more than that (especially when you get friendly service as well). We will be going back soon! read more

Once again things start to swinging again for the reopening of all the business. That is great news also great news for business that has suffered through out the pandemic. Wow, some of the best wings I've ever had. I kept stumbling across this place every time I searched for "food near me" in Yelp. I finally decided to check it out and so glad I did. I was also SO happy to see this place had a drive-thru. Yay! After being indecisive over what to eat, I decided to go with wings. I got bone in wings and went with the flavors: Houstatlanta BBQ and Honey Cajun. So delicious! I think next time I'll try Spicy KBBQ. I was just worried about how hot it was going to be lol. The girl at the window was super helpful, knowing it was my first time there. After letting her know that info, she gave us a free drink. After placing my order and paying, we were instructed to park in the parking lot in front of us and wait for our order. The food came out fairly quickly and all the workers I dealt with were masked up. I'd recommend this place for people wanting something quick and delicious. read more

This place always pops up when searching for highest rated food around Cypress, figured was about time to try them out. Will have to say for looking like greasy fast food, I was pleasantly surprised. Got the KBBQ steak bowl with noodles, about $11.50. From afar it doesn't look like a lot, but it was filling. Yes, it was greasy but it didn't taste overwhelmingly so. The meat was decent quality. I have a habit of adding a lot of sauce (spicy, soy, etc.) but wasn't needed this time. I was even happy with the noodles. Overall can't complain, was a very enjoyable meal. Place is located off of FM-1960. We pass it all the time going to Target and Home Depot, which i can tell will be tempting for us to stop by whenever we go shopping at those places in the future. FYI here is my yelp rating system 5=worth a trip, something you'll crave 4=worth getting but only if you're already in the area 3=only worth it if it's free/discounted, not worth paying full price 2=would not even eat it if free, waste of stomach space 1=the place should shut down read more

I now live in the humble area and am craving some Chimac. I realized I never left my YELP review so here it goes. If you see the sign, don't continue driving!! Pull over!! And get yourself some goods! The angus burger is a fave in our household and I find that funny because it's not what I personally would go here for-- but we always end up ordering it lol. Ok the good stuff - the chicken wings. I am just salivating thinking of it. Sweet lemongrass chili... houstatlanta bbq, spicy kbbq... man it's worth the many trips I made when I was on the northwest side. Also- the bowls a A1... and the kimchi fries Basically I have eaten their entire menu lol and I'm always a happy girl read more

We stopped in for lunch today and got a rice bowl half and half with chicken and shrimp and 6 wings. I really appreciated the fact that they did an excellent job de-veining and butterflying the shrimp. The dish could've used more meat to rice ratio. We also stopped in for dinner and grabbed 30 wings and their large fries for the family. The flavors we tried today was the sweet lemongrass chili, honey bbq, garlic pepper, Cajun honey, and their spicy hot. Best wings I honestly have had besides the wings from Jug Handle Inn in New Jersey. This place would be perfect if they offered beers to compliment the delicious wings. Their ranch was perfect, like a real buttermilk and not too thick to overpower the wings. The Cajun honey could use a spicier bite and sweetness. The honey bbq was over saturated with sauce which was great. Their garlic pepper wings was the best from the 30 pcs wings we brought home tonight. Also if you check in on Yelp. They will give you a medium drink just by checking in. Definitely will be my go to spot for wings around the Houston area. Don't let the exterior of the restaurant fool you. Their kitchen is immaculate and well organized. The service was spot on and very informative with recommendations for a first time patron today. Thanks so much for making delicious wings I can't seem to get enough of!! Well done all around read more

Favorite chicken place with a nice blend of Korean and American fusion! This hole in the wall place have great things to choose from wings to Korean bbq meat and more! Wait time is not too bad for about 8-10 minutes depending on how busy the restaurant is and the cashiers and servers were nice too! I had me a 6 wing split kbbq and garlic pepper combo w/ fries and it was great! I love how they're generous w/ their fries, and although the kbbq wings didn't look like it had that kbbq like I thought it would be, they still had a nice taste of it w/ a good thought to sweetness to it! I will definitely be back to try a bit more of their wing flavors soon! read more
