I've visited this place twice now, although I was only able to dine in during my first visit. For my most recent visit, I stopped by for one of their World Cup watch parties but wasn't able to get a table because I forgot to make a reservation. However, the staff was kind enough to recommend a few other places I could go to, which I really appreciated! Here's my review of the food from my first visit: My friend and I ordered a small platter of chicken wings with two flavors: garlic soy and spicy Korean. Both sauces were incredibly flavorful, and the chicken pieces were huge. The wings were easily the standout dish of our meal! The uni jjapagetti is a new menu item and tasted like a more elevated version of classic jjapagetti. The honey butter fries were sweet, savory, and addictive. Lastly, the seafood pancake was good, but it wasn't particularly memorable for me. Although I wasn't able to stay during my second visit, the tasty food, lively atmosphere, and friendly service left such a positive impression that I'll definitely be back. read more

We also split a bottle of jinro to wash everything down. All the eats were solid although we were pretty plastered that night since it was the NFL Saturday wildcard round. Service involves the call bell to order but our server came by to check on us and get us what we needed. They recommended the pajeon which I'm thankful for since it was my first time ever having it. The menu is so large that I had a hard time narrowing what I wanted to eat. Sand with the drink options. So I ended up getting a soju sampler and a combo plate. Both were yummy. We stopped by for dinner tonight, on a Tuesday. We were prompted greeted and sat in a booth. I like the intimacy of the booths, cute string lighting strung throughout the restaurant. The bar vibe is nice, especially with the music corresponding to the music video playing on the TV's and projector. We had the following items: * Strawberry Colada - non alcoholic and delicious! * Takoyaki - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was covered with the right amount of sauce, prepared well. * Bossam - this dish was well presented, with the pork belly served on a hot plate - see photo. I love the sauces that accompanied the dish, along with the slices of romaine lettuce. I'm used to this being steamed, not pan seared. It was also a tad bit too fatty for me. * Fish Cake Soup - served on top of a burner to keep it hot. It has a few jalapeno peppers to add a little kick to the soup. There was at least 4 varieties of fish cake. It was a mild soup and pleasing for our palettes. While we were dining, a few groups came through for the karaoke rooms. There were a few others dining while we were there. I think it would be nice to come back for some cocktails, with their huge list. Barkord is more of a lowkey alternative to the other Korean bars in the area. There were plenty of tables when my group came at 10 PM on a Friday. The smoked bossam and fried chicken were standout dishes to me. I would've liked more lettuce with my bossam! The fries and tteokbokki were on par with other pochas. We came here for a date. Upon entering we were greeted and sat in these cozy booth areas. You can definitely tell this is a karaoke bar as well because you can hear the singing at times.(It's kind of funny hearing it) The menu is pretty darn good. The dumplings were crispy, the yumyung sauce on the wings are that sweet, spicy, savory flavor, the smoked bossam were good grilled pieces of pork belly, and the spicy stir fry noodles gave us a great side to go with everything (its pretty spicy so just be aware). The waiter we had was very attentive. We had to push the button in the area to call him, but honestly he was checking on us even before we hit the button. He kept us filled with water. My friend and I came in during happy hour so all the drinks were half price. I ordered the Moscow mule, The Tokyo tea, and some Tteok-boki. The Moscow Mule was delicious! My friends and I came here on a Tuesday evening for karaoke through a recommendation from social media. We had such a great time! We got a private karaoke room meant for 8, but I honestly thought it was the perfect size for the 5 of us. Probably because we ordered a lot of food to share and needed the table room for it. It's cheaper than other places so I was pleased. They texted me a few times to verify and thank me; the last place we went didn't do that so that was nice. The karaoke setup is either you use your phone for YouTube or you use their machine; we chose YouTube because there are more selections. The last place we went to had a tablet that kept going down, so again this was a good change. We ordered the bulgogi rice ball, Korean fried chicken and popcorn shrimp with fries. We also ordered my daughter a mock tail which they had several of and these were included on happy hour so it was half price! Everything was good, the waiters were nice and attentive, and we had fun. The only negative was the room was super cold, so bring a blanket!! I think though if you have more people and you're laughing and singing, you wouldn't mind because you'd be sweating! They have a lot of seatings and 4 private karaoke room for rent all different size and different price point. The service is fast and the food was good. The KFC here is pretty good, I had worst and better ones but it was tasty and crispy. The cheesy corn was just Ok, you can skip the quesadilla was just OK, the smoked bossam was really good but it's one of the more expensive dish there. Servers are really nice, love the food, cocktails are a bit too sweet but there's always soju. They have private karaoke rooms that aren't too obnoxiously loud. My friend had a soju sampler which had heavy pours and each flavor was delicious (yogurt and green grape especially).
