Great fried chicken! Very crispy and flavorful! Friendly staff. Quick service. Food was delicious!
The place was small. They only had like 2 servers and 3 different large parties which made it difficult for everyone else else to order or be helped. The food was rather good. The fried rice was a 6 out of 10 for me. My favorite was the rice cake skewers.
Sorry late post. I didn't get to finish this review while we were there. Wasn't sure exactly what this place was. Came down from Tomball to spend time with my cousin and was surprised how cool this place is and that it's open late. Had our friends come with us and we decided to order and enjoy their appetizers. I had this amazing shrimp tempura. Ended up ordering 4 rounds of it. Had the complimentary table appetizers as well and was so pleased with the food and we ordered this cool drink. Ambiance was good. A small establishme but good enough for the people that comes around late at night
Food and service are both mediocre, couldn't even get water refilled. They charge a credit card fee but did not disclose it at time of payment.
Dined here on a Saturday afternoon with my family and brother's family. Both of us have 2 children 2 or under! It's always overwhelming for us to eat out but soho chicken made it so much less overwhelming! We were the only patrons for about an hour around 11am. Our waiter, probably owner, was very attentive and welcoming. He told us to spread out for more room and did t mind that our kids were being a nightmare lol... All the portions are huge and plentiful, The prices are very affordable. Between 5 adults and 4 toddlers, we got A full order of chicken bites, bi bim bap, burrito with fries, dukbuki with hot dog, cheese corn, kim bap, seafood pancake. Everything was so delicious. Would love to come back when we're visiting but so many spots to try. Wish them the best!!
*I will make this a very brief review since I had recently done one from my most recent visit. I find myself again visiting a late night spot in Chinatown and had this thought to try what I mentioned from my last review which was the chicken at SoHo Chicken. But like always, I always appreciate they are open late on the weekends but the seating is not so congested which I like. But often I have just walked straight to the bar seats to be closer to the monitors playing. I did order the 10 piece soy garlic wings and a sundubu Jjigae with beef. Also the strawberry lemonade. I am happy to say after all this time has passed without giving it a try, I have been missing out on the wings. The batter and crunch factor is perfect. The sauce is flavorful and sticky but it is what I expected. The sundubu jjigae with beef was good as well. Not too spicy but the right amount. And you already know my take on the strawberry lemonade. Overall it was really good. I may consider it my go to spot now but I do have to give the other businesses around with a same concept a chance to get a feel for the vibe and make that final choice. But SoHo chicken has been great on my visits. It is hard to beat my experiences so far. The standard is high right now.
If you're into late night Korean dishes, this is the place for you! They play loud music at night and offer a good variety of dishes to choose from. Drink menu is pretty solid. However, the food wasn't really to my liking. There's many other Korean restaurants that tastes much better. Service was decent, not the best. I had to keep waving someone down to get their attention. I don't think I'd be coming back considering there's so many other places to choose from
Had a great late night eat at SoHo Chicken. Loved that they had Terra, our favorite Korean beer, and I got a deliciously refreshing soju mojito to start. Ordered the wings with soy garlic and sweet and sour. Both were really good. The sweet and sour is similar to the taste of sesame chicken, so if you like that, you'll like this. Service was fantastic with attentive. waiters who were very friendly. Ambience was nice. Loved that it was a little dim but not super dark, and there were lots of tvs playing music videos and performances that were fun to look at but not too distracting. Definitely will be back to try more soju cocktails and the other Korean food.
Service was meh. Overpriced food and drinks. I got the loaded fries and they had NO flavor. I ate the fries with sauce on them and trashed the rest. That was about 6 fries. I decided to order the wings. I got the spicy hot. The bartender warned that they were super hot and they were but manageable. The problem with the wings isn't the spice. They just lacked flavor! Why have a hot wing that has no seasoning on it? My drink was $17 and was a small glass tumbler. Just No.
The service is fantastic. It's what made our experience the best. There is a parking garage and there's a few other shops on the strip. I have a lot of food, allergies and they were very accommodating to me. Which is amazing. Food is great!
Saw a recommendation on another site and how they had a BOGO weekday lunch menu. It's from 11am to 4pm. I LOVE a good deal. Went with hubby last Thursday and really enjoyed it! The complimentary spicy broth was a good starter. We asked if the 10 piece Korean fried chicken platter could be half spicy and they were able to accommodate us. The shrimp dish tasted better to me with a dab of kimchi. The bulgogi gimbap was fine. It is usually eaten plain, but we asked for some sriracha mayo to dip it in. The bulgogi platter had some fatty gristle but lots of flavor. Yes, I would go back and bring a friend or two so I can try more dishes!

I could not hear my friend who was sitting right across from me. Every time we tried to talk we would hear the bartender laughing or yelling with clients. Now I am not a party pooper, you can laugh if you want; in fact, I love laughter. However, this guy had no social awareness. We wanted to leave especially after service took a long time and set a timer for 5min and if it ran out we would leave. Thankfully they came but they took our order after that additional 4min. Overall this place is average and the atmosphere makes it bad. The tteokbokki is something I would consider getting again but it is definitely not worth the price! Food is okay, just expensive considering any food you could get in that area.
There is definitely a vibe.... Late night bar. The music is loud and the lights are dimmed. We ordered Boneless Pah-Dak Large - Garlic Soy and Mango Habanero and Bibimbap in Hot Stone Bowl. Chicken was crispy and had good flavor. The Bibimbap... needed something... Just did have much flavor. Service was attentive until we got our food and then we kept having to call someone over. Since it wasn't busy inside... I was surprised. Parking is another thing. There is not enough parking for this strip center it is crazy.

The food was great, and the ambience was great, but the service was left to be desired. They get way too busy and there were only two servers. Our server kept forgetting us but the server that noticed made sure to keep coming back by and helping us out. He was so nice and apologized profusely. They definitely could use more hands. The food however was amazing! My sister and I loved EVERYTHING! I got the Adult Juice pouch and it was very tasty! I'm planning on going back with my husband. He loves fried rice and adult beverages. My sister isn't a drinker so He and i will be back to enjoy the other drinky drinks. Parking is really hard and the parking garage gets full so fast. Be prepared to wait for a spot or park a couple blocks away and walk it. read more

Soho chicken As I was looking for a place to eat in Houston on yelp. This place caught my attention due to the menu. It had a little bit of everything which is always skeptical. Bc lets be honest how can everything on the menu be amazing. When you first walk in you are greeted immediately and the restaurant looks very clean. We started off with chicken wings and cheese corn. Let me tell you they way we killed that cheese corn was epic. The best we have ever had and we eat out alot and in different states. The chicken was good but something about the corn took the cake. For entrees we ordered the fried rice, bulogi with fried egg, the korean ribs and beef sundubu jjigae. Everything was amazing, fresh, fast, and full of flavor. This is truly a hidden gem I will def be back to visit when Im in Houston. read more

I was warned that this place wasn't good, but I had hopes that everyone was wrong... Nope. This place is not good and was not worth the stomach ache I had the next day. We got the boneless pah-dak (small) and the chicken sandwich w/ bulgogi fries (+$4). We chose soy garlic flavor for both. The soy garlic flavor is wayyy too salty and difficult to eat. It's literally all soy, no garlic flavor whatsoever. If you look at my picture of the chicken sandwich then you'll notice right off the bat that my buns were smushed. I was confused why this was the case, but I proceeded to attempt to eat a few bites. Since the buns were smushed to as flat as possible, I gave up and asked for a to-go box and another set of buns. It was at that moment that I was informed that it was their last set so that's why they were smashed. That makes no sense, but at this point I was already ready to leave. The only good thing from this meal is that the bulgogi fries were good. I received my check and noticed they charge a 4% POS processing fee... Of course it's waived if you pay cash. First off, why is the fee so high?! Second, why am I responsible for this fee? This rubbed me the wrong way. I paid in cash and left. If you want delicious KFC then go to BB.Q chicken right down the street. read more

Was looking for a place for wings late at night. This place was close so decided to give it a try. The wings were soooo good, we got the soy garlic flavored 10 piece. Prices for everything are very reasonable. Also ordered the Ramyun with a side of beef, the beef was very tender and paired perfect with the flavors of the noodles. The service was really good, fist time here and out waitress was very helpful. The ambiance is cool, they have Korean pop videos. Which I had never watched before, they were fun to watch. The restaurant was dark but was perfect for the mood they were trying to set. read more

I've concluded that this place is criminally underrated for its value and quality. The Korean Fried Chicken Wings are the best I've had in the Chinatown area, light and crispy with just the right amount of seasoning and flavors. Dad loved their Hot BiBimBap, with a medley of vegetables, doused with a desirable amount of housemade GoChuJang, and the crispy scorched rice on the bottom of the hot stone bowl. We could barely finish the two dishes ordered from their BOGO lunch special. We both also gladly purchased beverages to support this mom-and-pop spot. Spread the word, food is good, price is right! read more

Was looking for a place that was still open at 11 p.m. and came across Soho Chicken! I ordered 3 dishes and was pleasantly surprised with how huge the portions are. * 20 piece large chicken (flavors fried & soy garlic): Unfortunately these wings didn't meet my expectations. The fried was more tastier than the soy garlic but overall, the batter was too thick and oily for me. The sauce that came with it tasted a bit like herbal medicine * Ddukbokki: it was a good appetizer to start off but if I were to come back, I'd probably try something else. The Ddukbokki was really really soft. * The kimchi bulgogi fries: was the star of the show. This was the best dish here! Super flavorful and loved the cheese. Overall, the food was mediocre and the service was a bit slow considering how empty it was. We had to chase down the waiter. The store and restroom was clean though! It definitely gave off the restaurant vibes in Korea. read more

Came in on Wednesday evening, lots of seating, not busy at all. They staff was nice and friendly. I just ordered a 2 things. Wings and squid. Wings are okay. Nothing that wowed me. They are pretty average size but now a data I've seen much bigger and more flavorful. So in my opinion if you want Korean fried chicken, I would go elsewhere . The bill came out and I got hit with a merchant fee of 3.99% and to be honest that's pretty messed up. That's the part that really got me. I highly don't recommend you coming here unless you want them to tack on 3.99% to your bill when pay with CC. I don't appreciate it at all. Got me once, but will not get me twice read more

I know a chicken place that will drive you LOCO Although it may give you more gas than SUNOCO And if you buy too many wings, you'll end up a BROKE HO But you won't mind because you'll love the food at SOHO Better than every single KFC place in TOKYO Your scale will hate you like Lennon's fans hated YOKO Your waistline will expand like fascism in the POPO Come and try the fried chicken here at SOHO! WHAT. Actually, I really like the flavor of the spicy Korean chicken wings from here. I suppose my complaint would be that the portions are little on the small side, while prices are more swole than, well, me. So considering how much it cost, I didn't really get full and it didn't really contribute to my protein portion for weightlifting, not significantly enough to make it a regular stop, as in, the wings are teeny weeny like Barbi's bikinis, monokinis, microkinis, slingshots, whatever it is she is almost wearing this week. Usually when I seek out chicken, it's not just for delicious taste, which this place does have, but also good value to make it a regular stop, or at least a big bunch of protein if I'm going to pay a lot. But at Soho, I felt like I paid a lot without actually getting the protein. However the taste definitely keeps this chain at a solid 4 star rating, and if it were a little more affordable or a little more generous than I would definitely give it five. Service was friendly and we would definitely come back again, although there are other places that I like even more for Korean Fried Chicken, such as Lim's about a mile to the east on the same road, my fave of all time. There is a difference between me and other Yelpers. Which is that I don't talk about the differences between me and other Yelpers because I don't really know the other Yelpers. But I do know Korean Fried Chicken, and I'd say that this place would mainly appeal to those who don't, or who prefer their food sugary (ewwwww) rather than with actual spicy and "complex" flavours as hipsters would say. Don't get me wrong, I still like it here. Just not some of the OTT hype about it considering some of the other options in this genre in Houston. Another thing they do really well is the decor. It's very pretty and modern and fancy and pop culture and we really like that about it. For Decor this place would definitely score five. And I'm sorry I roped you into reading this review, so now let me rap you out of reading it. Beyond disappointed. I know time are tough but portion is cheap. I ordered $50+ worth of stuffs and they can't even give me full size side dishes like Jang Geum. Short ribs (3/5) - 6 pieces for $17 Bibimbap (0/5) - they forgot meat that I added Chickens (3/5) Overall, I'm not ordering anything else beside the chicken from here again. read more
Oh this place was great when it comes to late night hours. Decided to get some KFC and some drinks to cap the night. KFC was too much breading, I rather have it naked at this point. Felt so much carbs. Also, was drinking too, so didn't really care at the time, but now I'm sobering up, I realized the food quality isn't that up to par like other KFC in the area. Prices were decent, but definitely would try other menu. read more

Was looking for a spot for dinner, stumbled upon this spot and it was great! Atmosphere was a little loud but the food and service was great. Food came out quickly despite the restaurant being busy. My girlfriend and I split all of the below items and we were very satisfied -Small Boneless Pah-Dak was the highlight of the meal. Chicken was great, the portion was great and a wonderful bargain. We got the soy garlic, and I would recommend, especially if you don't like spice. - Kimchi Fried Rice was okay. Didn't blow me away, and I think I would've preferred another fried rice. Good as sort of a side but I think if it was my whole meal I wouldn't be satisfied. Good vegetarian option however. - Dduk Kkochi was good. We had the choice between spicy and soy garlic and I think we made the wrong choice. Soy garlic was okay, but I wouldn't order it again. Definitely interested in trying the spicy one. We both really enjoyed, it was reasonably priced with good portions, and we look forward to coming back! read more
