I had no idea today was closed off for a private event but really cool of them to still accommodate us. This was our first time here and it was live. We were greeted at the door and explained what our options were prior to getting seated. The place looked much bigger than expected and very culturally decorated. It was fun, inviting, clean and spacious. We got a couple things from the menu after our waitress explained some of the items and gave us ample time to order. All the food was great, it came out quick and we were excited to give it all a try. The service was great and the food was really good. It was more on the expensive side for what you get but I'm glad we came and gave this a try. The menu has a lot of great options to try.

Randomly stopped in for an early dinner for our first visit. There was a ticketed event that day which we had no idea about, thankfully we were still able to be seated in a side room. The service was great and attentive despite there being an event going on. Everything was absolutely delicious. The only thing we probably wouldn't order again would be the kabobs, they had great flavor but just a little too chewy for me. Would love to dine in the main area next time to fully grasp the ambiance.

I'm biased because I'm Filipino right... but I really do love this place. The food is always delicious to me. The drinks have gotten so much better since before and the ambiance is just so typically Filipino that you can't help it. We received some great service from two ladies during my birthday and our food and drinks came out very fast. It gets really packed here on the weekends because they have live bands and karaoke sometimes but it's all fun!

So I've been here before and I wasn't feeling it BUT the wife loves this place.... So why not? I was wrong. This place is so good! I ate most of the lumpia and the BBQ pork was good! Wife got the crispy pata and that great too! It's weird that in Chinatown that you have to pay for your rice but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. We also got the Halo Halo because I thought it would be like a Chè Ba Màu and it is but not really. Still VERY enjoyable. Staff and service was great. And I KINDA want to see the live band one day. It's a Filipino place. There has to be some sort of singing or karaoke. The only thing I didn't like was the sticky table. It was sticky! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but the food was very good. Would I come back? Hell yeah! I'm getting the banana lumpia and ice cream next time too. Regrets.

We went on Sunday lunch and was pretty crowded. There were multiple bands plying raising money for a fellow band member so a bit noisy. This is normal on Friday and Saturday nights but not on Sundays. Luckily, we were able to grab a table and got seated right away. We ordered 3 dishes... grilled squid, beef karekare and pork sisig. Grilled squid was delicious. One of our go to items to order. Restaurant is well known for the grilled items so can't go wrong. Beef Karekare is beef oxtail cooked with peanut sauce and vegetables (bok choy, eggplant, long beans). It comes with shrimp paste. This is a must. Tip: do not order if you don't like shrimp paste. Last is the pork sisig. It comes on a sizzling plate and was still sizzling when served. This goes very well with beer or with rice. It is a bit salty. Meat is crispy from the hot plate. We had ordered it with egg that offsets some of the saltiness. Restaurant offers delicious Philippine/Filipino dishes. Service was friendly although it was sometimes hard to call their attention as restaurant was packed.

The service is world class, we didn't wait that long yet the food served are all freshly cooked! The ambiance is great! Makes you feel at home.

YUM. Gerry's is always delicious, and the service is always wonderful. Our server Bethel was quick to get our drinks and orders. The Adobo shreds and lumpia are always a favorite!

Very lively restaurant on Fri evening! Great service for a large party dining in. Started off with Lumpiang Shanghai. Crispy and pretty good, but I've had better lumpia before. Crab rice was delicious, but not much crab meat in the dish. Pinakbet had a variety of veggies, but I was not too crazy about this. Crispy Pata (pork) was delicious! I would order again if I go back to dine at Gerry's Grill. Crispy short rib was savory but a little oily/greasy. Inihaw na pusit (grilled squid) was tasty! Sizzling pork sisig was ok. Adobo rice (w/ small pork bits) had a lot of flavor; a tad bit salty though. Pancit palabok was ok; not savory enough imo. Buko pandan had very subtle pandan taste; likely overpowered by coconut shreds. However it was a refreshing dessert overall. The live band had a great performance, but it was too loud most of the time, and everyone had to yell across the table to communicate. It was fun seeing folks volunteer for karaoke. Overall not a bad experience here!

Now known as One Shot Pocha. Booking process is through a link that can be found in their…read moreInstagram. It is pretty cool that they will give a free hour with an F&B minimum. There is a good amount of parking in the big strip mall lot, but it gets very packed on weekends as there are many popular restaurants here. We got a room with a 15-top and were brought in promptly on time. We planned out our food/drink order ahead of time to meet the F&B minimum for one extra free hour. We also made a YouTube playlist ahead of time to allow people to choose songs to add and make sure everyone got at least one song they wanted on the list. Food came out really quickly, with banchan coming in about 5-10 minutes and food coming out anywhere from 15-30 minutes after (the military stew took the longest). Food-wise: Banchan: 3.5/5 Pretty much has all the staples Chicken Wings: 4/5 Nice and crispy, good flavor, good sharable portion and we ordered the Whole Chicken Seafood Pancake: 3.5/5 Pretty hefty and comes with a nice sauce, a little light on the seafood Kimchi Pancake: 4/5 Nice crisp, good dipping sauce, would get again Corn Cheese: 4/5 Looks small, but actually quite sharable and filling LA Galbi: 3/5 Many recommendations for this but I found it to be small and kind of chewy, no better than other KBBQ I've had and quite pricey Cheese Tteokbokki 3.5/5 Also larger than expected and very filling. It's VERY cheesy. Army Hot Pot 2/5 Hard to share, not worth the price as there wasn't that much in it. I think if it were $10 cheaper at $30 instead of $40 it'd be worth it. One big downside is that one of our microphones was not audio adjusted well - it was barely picking up and the other mic was clearly stronger. Maybe this lends itself to a supporting duet. Pretty solid karaoke spot, expect about $35/pp for a private room for 2 hours.

Probably the best LA Galbi I've had in a while. The meat came in big and thick slices. Extremely appetizing. Cheese omelette was fluffy and flavorful, oozing with melted cheese inside, perfect with the dipped ketchup. Rose tteokbokki made a good first impression. The size was almost for an army, loaded with ham, rice cake, and chewy noodles. Upon further eating, however, you realize the sauce was very cheddar heavy. It tasted straight up like broccoli cheddar soup. They also used Bologna for ham and I feel it cheapens the dish. Overall tastes like an amateur attempt at a Korean bar classic. Soondubu jigae (not pictured) was the worst dish we ordered. Tasted like an entire bag of gochugaru, some soft tofu, and an egg. You will not have an inkling of suspicion you are eating soondubu jigae. Also not a fan. Minor plus is that they added a live DJ. Music was spot on which really lightened the space and atmosphere.

If you're looking for something outside of the top 100 of any given year, this can be a bit challenging but if you stick to major artists, boybands, ballads, etc. you should have plenty to sing. Service was quite fast here when the call button was pressed, and fairly friendly as well. The sound quality was overall quite good, both on the speaker system and the microphones as well.
