Cosplay was interesting but most people were in normal clothes. I got the feeling that most people here were in their 20's and their parents had no idea where they were. It's a rectangle bar with the back area reserved for gaming, the middle section is where the bar is and the front is the karaoke stage. Seating is scattered around the place. You have to go to the desk just inside the door to get a wrist band. This is not a serious place to go to have a drink. Its all about the visuals. I would say they are notably understaffed on the bartenders though which took over 20 minute wait for just one drink... Was out with some friends and we had just finished watching Princess Mononoke in 4K (amazing) and was trying to find a place to chill/chat. So of course the best option was to follow it up with some more ANIME related fun and this place was brought up. Some of our group had been here while it was new for me and a couple others. First off, before even entering the place let's talk about the parking. It was glorious. It's located in a large parking lot with other stores lined up next to it. Which for those experienced with bars in the middle of Houston, good parking is a luxury. Inside was really cool! Lots of different anime related items that I think anyone can appreciate the hardcore fans and those there for the aesthetics. There's also some screens for playing video games and we were lucky to grab a table by one! We also had a very kind employee help us change out the games for ones we wanted. Also the inside was spacious, with the first section being the karaoke section with tables and the DJ booth up front. The middle has the bar with the bartenders dressed in cosplay which I thought was a nice touch! Lastly are the gaming area followed by the restrooms in the back back (huge btw). Now we did arrive around 10 pm so it wasn't packed to the brim but it had a decent crowd already at that time. By the time we left around 11pm the karaoke queue had filled up and there were significantly more people! Overall if you're interested in anime/gaming and just want a nice little spot to hang with your friends or meet others with similar interests give this place a try! read more

I wouldn't say it was an accident that my friends and I found this place, but it was never on my radar nor did I know anything about it. We were looking to find a spot to hang out after our first stop was very busy and found this place on my trusty Yelp app. It's located in a shopping strip on the what I would consider the border of Sugarland and Houston. Deep southwest for sure. The outside looks plain but I walked into the coolest looking bar. First off, it is huge. There's neon lighting everywhere along with life size anime characters all over the place. They have a large screen and stage for karaoke right when you walk in, a large bar, and then in the back there was lots of screens where people were playing video games tournament style. Even the bathrooms were larger than life. Customer service was outstanding. The employees just seemed happy to be there and they were all so helpful. The vibes here were on point. I am not an anime guy but everyone here was just being themselves and was genuinely having a good time doing their cosplay thing. The night we went was also karaoke night which made for extra entertainment. They have different themed nights and the calendar seems to always have something going on. Follow them on the socials to keep up to date. I wasn't expecting much as far as food and drinks go, but they got a good selection of items to please anyone. We did not partake in the food on this visit, but the food looked great. They also have a really nice selection of cocktails, beers and mocktails as well. They have alot of their own creations that were very good. I also went with my tried and true old fashioned and they did it very well as well. I also tried one of their many frozens which tasted great too. We didn't have anything we didn't like. I made the mistake of stereotyping this place before I even walked in and left having a great time. My friends and I are definitely making this one of our go to spots! read more

Fun place for drinks. They do events often like karaoke night and Mario Kart nights. Inside it is a bit loud, especially if it is karaoke night. They have some themed drinks. Otherwise not much anime inspired events like PopFancy (collab maybe??) Drinks were okay, nothing stellar. read more

I love anime so when I was visiting Houston and found this bar in the area I was excited to check it out! The vibe was immaculate. I loved the giant figurines of dbz characters, the manga & merch, the giant projection screen playing anime ( I just wished we could've heard it better and music wasn't playing over it). Overall the decor hit the nail on the head. We went on a quiet night so it was just us and a couple other people there. Amazing vibe but at the end of the night I set my drink on the bar and spoke to some burlesque dancers for a good while. Men surrounded my drink, and I didn't keep an eye on it. I didn't drink it yet at all so I asked the woman bar tender to remake my drink incase it was spiked, she happily was working on it. Her male coworker asked what I needed so I explained. After that, he said he had to charge me for the remake, despite the fact that I didn't drink any of it.... When talking to the woman, she asked him why he was charging me, and he said because we have to remake it, and she rolled her eyes, which speaks to me that I was not originally going to be charged for the remake But he charged me anyways. Wish they cared more for women safety. Also was told the kitchen closed at 11, at 10:47 I asked for some wings and was told they closed at 10:45 because it's a more busy night. Such a cute spot for sure, we've been a few times . But these bartenders are horrible. They pick and choose who they want to serve. We've given them quite some time and they all walk past us until I get their attention and then they give an eye roll. Specially the short one with dark hair. We kept going back because we keep saying "maybe it's just today" but nope it's been every time. They make no eye contact and just walk past us. Discrimination at its finest , little do they know I work in the industry so we always tip great. Which is why I try to be patient but the way they have treated us has been ugly. After visiting this bar since the opening , I can honestly say it going in the wrong direction. So on top of slow service, it's really no more service. they use to bring your food order to you. I mean the food is ruff but just drinking without something to snack on is hard. Now you get a little beeper and you have to service yourself by getting up and getting your own food from across the room like a cafeteria . You're one step away from having to go back and microwaving your own heb nuggets. I do t think they can keep a bartender because everytime I come by it's a new face. Who now have to live how to make all the "fancy" drink they offer. Which mean it'll be a 15-20 wait for a drink. Then they have the balls I mean the balls to put a 40% tip on their receipt. Finally stepped in this new place close to me and I was a bit disappointed. The bar itself is a great layout with karaoke and screens showing UFC fights and they also showed the Canelo fight. The down fall is the food and drinks. I paid $11 for popcorn chicken that you could tell it was just popped in the microwave. Half of my order was cold and gross. The drinks are also overpriced. Staff seems to be overwhelmed with a small crowd. The bartender somehow had time to make off menu items for the people directly in front of me, however when I was up snatched the menu out of my hand and handed me the menu pictured. When I asked about the drinks he'd just made he said they were only 3 ingredients... I asked for a two ingredient drink he pointed at the special menu and told me 'there's a crowd now'. The crowd was EXACTLY the same at it was 30 seconds prior... when he made the other '3 ingredient' drinks. They were mojitos. In what world is a mojito quicker than a jack n coke? A picture of the 'crowd' and available menu is included. There were 3-4 bartenders. I didn't want Boba with vodka cause I'm a sane person so went back to my seat. My friend chased a waitress down (quite literally) after we were ignored for 30+ minutes of them having empty glasses and me still not having anything. They let her know about the bartender being so absurd and ordered themselves something off the limited menu. She came back later to let me know 'the manager wants to know what you want them to do' or something along those lines... the whole thing was ridiculous considering there MAY have been 100 people in the whole bar and half of them were playing video games in the back. I don't recommend this place for service, or a good time at all. The decor is cute if you're into that. I ended up staying about an hour and spending $0 here. I won't be back. read more

I love the theme, the decoration, the guy at the entrance is nice! They layout is great, I really wish for it to be successful, but it lacks a lot. Drinks are $15 each, and being 100% honest, the bartender was nice but they really need to hire people that know how to make drinks, someone with experience, most of the drinks were terrible and we tried like 7, most were undrinkable, instead of girls in costumes they should do anyone who knows what they are doing. Food also was meh, as other reviews pointed out it feels like frozen food they put on the microwave. Overall the menu was overpriced. The drinks were $20 for what you can find at other bars in the area for $7. The food looked like they got it from the Krogers on the other side of the plaza and microwaved it, then left it in the microwave for too long. The music was too loud (I was having to shout at the person sitting next to me) and there was so much going on with the tv screens that you couldn't settle watching any one clip because it was over and three clips passed before you could comprehend what was going on.
