We came here after a wedding celebration, and the restaurant was able to accommodate our group in the large room. We got a few of Casa Migos shots, and ordered an espresso martini and a Smores cocktail. Both tasted really good, the toasted marshmallows were a nice touch!

Pretzels and cheese curds

Went for Happy Hour (M-F 4-7) 50% off apps and a bunch of drink specials. The pretzels with beer cheese were amazing as well as the cheese curds. Kendall our bartender was the sweetest and kindest person. She was quick, attentive, and so accommodating. Very awesome Bar Louie location.

we came to bar louie with quite a huge party from a wedding, and they were able to accommodate us with the large room in the back. Besides the trays of casa migos shots, we also ordered an espresso martini and a Smores. I personally loved the smores drink, as someone with a sweet tooth, the drink was tasty and the toasted marshmallows were a nice touch.

Couldn't tell you the last time I was ever at a Bar Louie. Probably when I lived in the Northeast back in my 20's. Well I'm in my 40's, and the place we wanted to go to....was a 40 minute wait. Then again, it's Town Center on a Saturday night. That will happen. We walked down and saw "Bar Louie". I didn't realize they still had these around. It was what I remembered it from long ago. Nice clean, bar/restaurant, plenty of TV's to watch the games. I got the 3 course special for 13.95, and you can't beat that. I got the tomato basil soup, Hot Honey Nashville Chicken Sandwich, tater tots, and Cinnamon Donut holes. The soup was really good. It was loaded with cheese and had croutons in it. It was a decent starter. The Hot Honey Nashville sandwich was really good. It was more honey...than hot, but I wasn't complaining either way. The heat level was going to be a deal breaker for me. The tater tots were crispy and delicious. To close it out, the Cinnamon donut holes were delicious as well. Service was great, my drink was strong. I'm not much of a drinker so the 3-course was enough to soak it up. Plus there was a photographer taking pictures if you wanted to purchase.

We came here on a Tuesday night for their half off any craft burger special. The music was playing loudly and sports playing on every TV screen. It wasn't too crowded inside, though. Our waitress was friendly and hospitable. First, we ordered their Thai crispy calamari appetizer. This was a bit salty, but the sweet Thai chili sauce did cut down on the saltiness. We then ordered their craft burgers: the all-nighter, mushroom swiss, and blazin burgers. All burgers were cooked to medium, per our waitress' recommendation. She was spot on because the beef patty was juicy and delicious. I ate the all-nighter burger, which had a perfectly runny egg, buttered bun, crispy bacon, and garlic aioli. It came with crispy fries, which were a bit salty. Nothing that a dip of ketchup won't fix. Overall, I felt full and satisfied after this meal. For the price (half off craft burgers, and surprisingly, half off of their calamari too), this spot is a solid weeknight hangout spot that won't break your bank and will offer you quality food. Come and check them out when you're in SL Town Center.

Came here with my fam on a Friday. No one was there to greet us when we came in, but that's ok. I get it staff being utilized elsewhere other than the front is a choice, but not a big deal. It was a nice afternoon, we so we made our way outside to there covered patio to snag a table ourselves. Eventually we were greated by the server of that section. Drinks- we started with this. They were ok for me, normally price point of $15 a piece. These came out in a reasonable amount of time. My family liked there drinks that's all that matters. Food - I ordered the cajan salmon and shrimp, comes with potatoes and asparagus. Its a large meal that could really be split for 2. It tasted fair. My family ordered the salmon sliders, and New Orleans chicken and pasta. The pasta was major lacking. After it arrived we questioned if there was suppose to be sauce for the dish. We wondered why it looked super dry at first, and did not appear or taste what was expected. Which was basically cooked noodles and seafood (see pic below). I am unsure if she offered to bring extra sauce or if we requested to bring extra sauce. But eventually she came back with extra sauce. By the time the sauce arrived the dish was already cold, but it was eaten, and did taste better, so I will give them points for that. Service - I can't recall the young lady's name that was our server and forgot to write it down, sadly it's not on the receipt either. The patio was not too busy, but it must have been short staffed because she was slow or a new staff memeber, and we mostly felt ignored. When the food arrived we had go inside for cutlery ourselves, as there was none on the table or brought to us with our drinks. We had to ask for our table to be wiped down as well, as it had not been cleaned yet when we sat down. She had not noticed it was not given either. After the meal and we were checking out, she charged us extra for the sauce that should have come with the pasta. So I fought her on this because the description of the meal said a creamy pasta dish and it was not a creamy pasta dish until we got the sauce for it. My family said to let it go, but I didnt understand if the dish is described a certain why but it doesnt come that way and you have to receive additional things for the dish to be like the description, thats not the dinners fault? She begrudgingly took it off. I don't like being nicked and dimed out of the experience that I anticipated getting. Instead of ensuring we had a positive experience overall and would have left a bigger tip for that, she wasn't present and charged us extra for it. Not worth returning for this disappointing service.

Came for happy hour and left with a happy buzz. Had good drinks and good bites for half the price what more could you ask for. It grew surprisingly more crowded from the time happy started to the end. Will be back to enjoy again after a long day of work.

I've only ordered foods for delivery from Bar Louie so far in the last few years, so I can't really speak about in-person experience here. However, the foods have always been consistently tasty every time I've ordered. I recently ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger and the Truffle Fries, and both were perfect. The burger was packed, super juicy, and flavorful, and the truffle fries were really good. Not pictured, but I've previously had their Patty Melt, Shrimp & Grits, Ultimate Grilled Cheese & Tomato Basil Soup, as well as the Reuben sandwich, and they were all really tasty.

Dined in for last minute dinner and allow the storm to pass. We were able to catch happy hour and sipped on $6 Effen Good martinis. They were so good and perfectly balanced. For starters, we had the spinach and artichoke dip (I wish there was more artichoke pieces) and fried cheese curds, which were delicious. Entrees I opted for the Chef's Burger which was so good. The fries were hot and fresh. My guest had the citrus glazed salmon and said it was really flavorful, however the asparagus could have been cooked less. Our server was nice overall, service was a bit slower but we did not mind as there was no rush. Bar Louie is a consistent classic!

In from out of town and stopped in for a quick bite. Whoever is in the kitchen knows what they are doing because the food was fantastic. Not sure why there is not a lot of people here on a Saturday afternoon, but I would expect this place to be booming in the evenings. Come on out it's awesome!

F i v e shining stars for Chuck honey! That man is special. We came to Bar Louie to celebrate one of my dear friends, let's be honest she's my sister! We started the night at Bar Louie and had such a great time. I arrived first of all guests (yes, I take great pride in being on time haha), so I jumped right in to assist my friend's mom with getting the table decorated and ensuring that each seat had supplies for the games we played during the night. We were outside at a large table and yes it was hot. We started the evening with chips and salsa. Once guests and the birthday girl arrived we ordered food and beverages. Everything was delicious. Honestly, Chuck was a major reason for the experience being phenomenal. I ordered Salmon Sliders and the Rock & Rita cocktail. I was impressed with how good the food tasted. The salmon was fresh, hot, and cooked to perfection. Not over or undercooked. The cocktail was refreshing. Closer to the end of the evening, the manager, Megan (hope I spelled your name correctly if you're reading this), who was very personable came out to check in to see how our dining experience went. Overall, I'm so glad that I took a chance to return back to this Bar Louie location. About 5 + years ago, as you can all go and read, my experience was bad, to say the least. I love it when improvements are made at restaurants and customer service improves. Shoutout to Chuck and Megan, thank y'all! And I will be back.

I didn't have any gluten reactions after eating my meal, which is always nice. Street parking is free after 6 pm. Parking in the area is tight if you can't get the street. Overall, I'd absolutely come back. I love venturing to a Hearsay because of the vast amount of gluten-free options. (I wish they'd add bread for the burgers.)

If you are looking for a spot with phenomenal food, a relaxed atmosphere, wonderful service, and prices that will make you smile, look no further. We recently stopped by to hang out, grab some drinks, and try out the menu, and every single second of it was a 10 out of 10--made even better by the staff who were so welcoming and took great care of us. We kicked things off with the deviled eggs, and they were phenomenal--topped with a nice, crisp piece of bacon and featuring an ultra-creamy, delicious filling. But the real showstopper? The boudin. I honestly had no idea boudin could be made like this! It had no outer skin and seemed to be pan-seared to perfection. The texture, the spice, and the flavor were simply the best I've ever had. It came served with crackers, a fantastic spicy side of mustard, and sliced pickles. So, so dang good! We sipped on a few beers and wines while hanging out, soaking in the atmosphere, and enjoying the space. They even have fantastic outside picnic tables available if you want to enjoy the fresh air. Before heading out, we ordered the sausage plate to go with two sides (we went with potatoes and tots--our choice!), and we finished it off at home while watching the World Series. Even as leftovers, everything was exceptionally good. To top it all off, our bill came to $82.00 before tip for 3 beers, 2 wines, 2 appetizers, and a hefty to-go plate. The pricing is remarkably reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you get. We will definitely be back!

Located right on Levy Park, this is an ideal spot for elevated bites, libations, and just a chill but solid dining experience The space is elegantly decorated with incredible hanging chandeliers and other modern fixtures. I lucked out an got to enjoy the outdoor patio on a rare chilly Houston evening The staff are very professional. There wasn't a host stand per se, but when we entered the restaurant someone greeted us and has us seated. I thought the staff uniforms were slightly formal and trendy in a good way The menu offers a variety of dishes, appetizers, drinks, etc. we went mostly for the cocktails, but we also had a couple sharables. Everything tasted looked and tasted great Pros: This is a trendy location at one of Houston's bustling little parks. The dishes and cocktails are well thought out and executed. The menu talks about this, but they don't over season and they're conscious of the sugar and other health/nutritional value you're consuming. We enjoyed cocktails, but they also have non-alcoholic drinks and mocktails cleverly labeled as "free spirited." The restroom was one of the nicer restrooms. The decor and little touches made it feel slightly elevated. The cocktails were artisanal, but none of them felt overly herbal or sweet or overpowered. I honestly feel like these are some of the most balanced cocktails I've had, and they're honestly affordable compared to other similar spots Cons: The main draw for me is the lovely park outside, but Houston is so hot it's rare that you can actually enjoy the outdoor seating. This was a one-off, but while we were dining outside a guest (kid) did have to throw up and did it a few times onto the patio nearby. The staff cleaned up the area, but it was there a bit longer than we would have liked. I liked that we weren't constantly badgered by a hovering server, but there were a few times where we were sitting with empty drinks for 10-20min before someone noticed. They decorated for Halloween, but I found the decorations felt like a tacky juxtaposition against the modern/trendy normal decor. Also, they had an outdoor bar that wasn't being used, but it had empty storage containers on the counters, more tacky decor, a mannequin with a hat, and it just felt like an eyesore Cheers!!
