We needed to stop for lunch and chose this place because it was convenient. The staff was friendly. We had to order from the bar counter because we were having wine and beer. Once you place your order, you seat yourself and the server brings your food. I had the spinach salad which was ok. Hubby had the Blue truffle burger which he really enjoyed. My first review was based off of food takeout and since then we tried it out and go often. The pizza is probably the best in town. It's no New York, but the dough is pretty close! Menu just changed so I will have to go away from my usual to try something new. Oddly enough the garlic fries are my absolute favorite! My only complaint is getting core or white lettuce and the salads are not as green or even have much on them as they should. We have always had great service. We typically sit in the back where the TVs are or on the patio, weather permitting. Grandkids love the food, they have fun drink options at the bar. Alcohol or not! Don't go east too often but on a whim asked my car club friends in Houston to meet up in Brenham. We left Austin and they left the freeways; I think our roads were a bit better. Only encountered one pesky Subaru going five miles under on the backroads. We got to the destination earlier than the other group. Party of 10 basically; well almost walked through the door. Doors not unlocked 20 minutes after opening. It was addressed quickly and now we're ordering at the counter. Pizzas, salads, fries lie ahead. We were probably annoying because we moved tables together. Food pager goes off and now we're sitting down to the Alfredo Pizza I ordered. Could have been allergy related but I couldn't taste the alfredo sauce at all. Carnival style fries weren't too impressive either. Nothing stood out except the kitchen that executed the menu in a timely manner for our 30 diners not including locals walking in. Great place to watch the Texas Aggie football games. Friendly staff. The wings are incredible as is the pizza. I especially recommend the Parmesan truffle fries. Front pizza shop seating is bench style mostly. Darker more dimly lit seating in the bar area. And patio seating. All with TV is visible and they like to play the games. Yesterday we went to this new place in our new hometown. Great customer service!!!! And the food was so delicious. We will back soon. We love finding great places to eat with awesome customer service. The young lady that took our order was very kind, super sweet, went over and beyond to help us and make us feel welcome. The food ordered was so fresh and tasted phenomenal. I order the Texas Cheesesteak with the Truffle Fries and it came out first. Ohhhh the beef was so tender, the fries were yummy and all of it was seasoned to perfection. My Husband got the pesto pizza with grilled chicken and he loved it so I had ad piece and I can say it wasn't pizza by flavor, it was a gourmet delight. Our G-daughter had pepperoni pizza and did a video on the pizza pull. She was impressed and that is some feat with an 11yr old. The decor is laid back casual with a twang of upscale. You order food in front as you enter but you have to buy any alcoholic drinks in the back. The action seemed to be in the back. Quite crowded with a fun vibe. Cute upstairs patio that was very dog friendly. Several cute dogs were there when we visited. Pizza service was friendly. This was the first place I've eaten that charges .25 per water cup. I was a bit miffed. Had I know, I would have brought in my Yeti which actually would serve the environment better. Oh well. Our bar waitress was ok. No smiles but answered our questions. Beer was a bit limited so I ordered a cider on tap. Pizza took awhile to arrive but it's a small town so we weren't too surprised. But man. The pizza was worth the wait! Ok, first tip: if the place looks empty, go check out the bar in the back! Here on a lazy Sunday afternoon and we really do have the place to ourselves. A few Cesar salads, a couple pizzas, and comfy chairs while we watch football. This place is almost two places- modern cafe in the front, cowboy lounge/bar in the back. Loving the big comfy leather chairs (makes me way more happy than the cold metal ones in front). It is definitely warm in the bar (big windows and an A/C that can't keep up). Caesar dressing has a stronger anchovy taste than I prefer, but plenty of Parmesan shavings, so I'm not complaining too loudly. Pepperoni for me and a margarita for hubs, both on cauliflower crusts. Whoa. These look amazing! And taste pretty awesome, too! The cauliflower crust is _really_ crisp and the addition of red pepper flakes on both is a great touch. Hubs margarita is a little slim on toppings, but the flavor is still on point. I could see this being _the place_ where the locals hang out. I placed a to go order and the person on the phone stated it would be a 25 min wait, no problem. I get there almost 40 min later because I know they take long. I get there, pay for the order and then the lady up front lets me pay and until AFTER I pay she tells me they haven't even started my order. She says there was a big order come thru so it'll be 5 minutes before they start my order. I let her know I needed a refund because why would I wait another 25 minutes almost to get my food when I placed my order long before. Great atmosphere and handmade food await you at this cute gastropub in downtown Brenham! We were hungry and headed into Brenham, so I pulled out my Yelp app and this place caught my eye immediately! So glad we decided to eat here - this place is charming and the food is made in an open kitchen - dinner and a show! I had the 12-inch Margherita pizza, which is made of fresh pizza dough fermented in house. Crust was chewy with the perfect balance of crunch and soft, with lovely air bubbles inside. Truly an excellent crust! Topped with fresh roasted cherry tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and fresh basil (we ordered it without the red pepper flakes) it was a delicious meal for two. Other members of the party ordered the Club Panini, which came with a very generous anoint of meat and crispy bacon, on a toasted fresh baguette that had been dressed with a delicious aioli. We ate inside because as the sun went down the air cooled precipitously, but the outside patio is lovely and a great place to watch Brenham go by with a beer from the local Brazos Valley Brewing Co. Beer and wine are available in the attached bar, which we did not visit tonight because it was reserved for a private party. When in Brenham, get off the 290 and come downtown to this little spot. Let me tell you about this place! My wife and I went on a drive and ended up in Brenham. I originally wanted to hit up a different place but it was closed for lunch. We wandered around and walked into 30 North. What a handsome catch this was! We both had cheese burgers and I added Serrano chilis (wow!). We split a side order of fries (it was massive). After ordering a couple of cold beers, we went and sat outside on the back patio. You could not have asked for better weather for this time of year. This was probably one of the best burgers I've had in the Houston area. At lunch on a Friday, it definitely wasn't crowded at 11:30, but it started to get busy when we left around 12:30. For $77 dollars and a tip requested for counter service only, I don't think I will go back. Ask for a tip and notes on the trash can say to be courteous and throw your trash away. The garlic Parmesan fries didn't have real garlic, but instead a goopy garlic sauce, and the Parmesan seemed far from authentic Italian Parmesan. And, they forgot one person's order entirely, which seems to be more common than it should be based on other reviews. Worst restaurant experience in years. We arrived on a Saturday at lunch time. Came into the restaurant where there were plenty of open tables. Seemed like a great spot with good atmosphere, however not a single person ever greeted us. We waited in front of the register for 15 minutes while dozens of employees passed us by...... finally a customer came over to us holding a baby and advised us food was no longer being served. The first bite was divine and it kept getting better. The crust, OMG, the crust is all you could want from a pizza crust-crisp, chewy, wonderful carbs. The pesto had a nice mix of the veggies you would expect on it along with a delightful balsamic drizzle.
