The best Vietnamese spot around! I love their broth for Pho and I've basically tried everything on their menu! I love the paintings on the walls, it gives it nice ambiance. And I fell in love with their salted limeade drink! 5 stars! 10 stars! I always love coming back here!

Came here on a Saturday night with 5 other friends and even though the restaurant was pretty busy, we were still able to be seated right away. I ordered the large Pho Tai Nam (eye round steak and well done flank). The broth was delicious and the noodles/meat were all great! Honestly, the mixed reviews on this place scared me a little bit but thankfully, my experience here was more positive than negative. The only downside is that service took a while but again, it was pretty busy when we came in so I understand. If I'm ever in the area again and craving pho, I'll be coming back to Pho Mai Tai!

my go to comfort food spot! they do not play with the portions either. my favorite order is their general tso's tofu with fried rice, it's so crispy and tangy. i've also tried the rock and roll tofu, the veggie banh mi, and tofu banh mi, but i always come back to the general tsos tofu. when getting to go, they made my order so fast- in about 5-8 minutes on a friday night! when i got home it was still nice and warm. the lobby is general, and the restaurant itself is in an unassuming area, right by a kroger tucked behind the gas station. It is the crispiest tofu i've had in houston so far (looking at you rice box...)

The food was delicious! The orange chicken was very crispy and all the food came out fresh! Overall, everything tasted great and even the water tasted refreshing! There was no wait at all and the food came out quick .

This place is a little hard to rate. We ordered the rice claypot and crispy flat rice noodle. They both look fantastic, and portions were very generous for the price. However, they both looked better than they tasted. The claypot rice was on the bland side, and the beef was rather stringy and chewy. Ambiance was fine - above average for a Vietnamese restaurant. We had no issues with the service despite the place being quite full. This place is still quite promising though. It was quite packed while we were there. We would probably give it another chance but try something else from their large menu.

Pho Mai Tai is always my go to for some quick, and delicious Asian food. I always order the Pork Vermicelli Bowl because it is so light and filling. Some of my other favorite dishes include Rock and Roll Tofu, Spring Rolls, Vietnamese Fried Rolls, Wonton Soup, Pork Dumplings, Egg Rolls, Combination Fried Rice, and their Crab ragoons. All of which are delicious and filling. The staff is always sweet and attentive. The ambiance inside is very calming. The tapioca drink menu selection.

Came here for the first time with my wife. Ordered the beef combination, fried spring rolls, bbq pork banh mi, and bbq chicken vermicelli. We also ordered some Vietnamese coffee. Everything was crazy delicious. They had all the condiments that I needed to make my special dipping sauce and the pho broth was on point. The banh mi bread was so warm and crunchy soft. The vermicelli would probably be better with bbq pork instead. Highly recommend this place. Moving here from Hawaii eating legit dishes, then moving to Texas where food were tasty, but not the same. This place reminds me of home. Food were all fantastic, portions were big and for a reasonable price. All the staff were friendly and fast. Large parking lot and lots of tables and chairs.

No seriously, don't walk.... RUN to the car and get here!! First time I came I only had the Seafood Pho & it was bomb!!!!!!! Just came back & had the Beef Pho with steak, brisket & Beef Balls and it was BOMB as well!!! Oh & those Crab Puffs... they have REAL CRAB MEAT IN THEM!!!!! It's definitely a MUST HAVE appetizer (might not want to share lol). You won't regret it and trust that I will definitely be coming back!! Soo good , I totally recommend!!

Bruh, pho that's still under $10 Appreciate it while you still can, For those of you that are lucky enough to live in this area (or Texas in general lol, Cali is $12-$15 average) Avocado Smoothie - real avocados!!! Confirmed with cashier. Bomb crystal boba and not overly sweet. So yummy!! Phở Đặc Biệt - the broth is clear and smells so good. And they really were generous with the herbs and bean sprouts. Meat:pho noodles ratio was proportional too. And 1/2 of the jalapenos were actually spicy. Respect. I drank the whole container of broth and I swear it rid of my cold. Flan - Not too sweet, with coffee undertones? My dad is a flan expert, as he always craves those, especially the Vietnamese ones. And this reminded him of Vietnam. 'Nuff said. Overall, I really liked this place and the cashier was chill. I liked that he asked if I needed utensils, so that I could say no and save some plastic lol.

Love the General Tso's Tofu. It's fried crispy. My favorite example. I ordered with fried rice. Vermicelli bowls are another family favorite here.

On my most recent visit we ordered mapo tofu with pork intestines off the specials menu - a hybrid of two of my favorite Sichuan-style dishes. The blend of bouncy, savory morsels amidst tender, saucy tofu was at once revolutionary and so obvious; why hadn't I yet seen this at any other restaurant? And sure, innards may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's important for you to know that none of my past orders from the 50+ item menu have ever failed me, whether enjoyed in the restaurant or at home. Maybe you'd prefer the aromatic, classic, perfectly balanced three-cup chicken? Or the sweet-skinned duck, glazed so delicately that specks of sugar crystal threaten to jump off onto the plate as you pick up a juicy slice with your chopsticks? And if you're vegetarian, might you consider the punchy garlic eggplant or the wok-kissed string beans? I could go on. Do yourself a favor and come see for yourself, though I'd recommend parallel parking on the neighborhood streets behind the restaurant rather than the rocky parking lot, to save you some trouble. Bring friends and chow down family style - you'll need help covering as much of the menu as you can, but you'll definitely have to come back to try everything.

My friend Aurora wanted to meet Donna early dinner and gossip session and she really liked this place. (We tried having a team lunch at the Rice Village location during the cold front last Oct but they had no heat so we opted for a warmer place but she grabbed a to go on the way home) Here we are for a late lunch 3:45 pm on a Friday. Parking was none had to drive around the block and saw some movement and bam, someone was leaving. We ordered at the bar, staff was super nice and opted to sit outside. Did not realize they deliver to the table. Order: Mongolian beef combo with fried rice and egg roll $14.99 The food comes in takeaway style containers. Win. Mongolian beef (2.5/5) - slightly over sauced for me; beef was pretty tender and there were carrots and edamame which is not the standard so maybe that's what makes it fusion? Fried rice (3/5) - standard style fried with small pieces of bean sprouts which I love so that was a nice surprise Egg roll (3/5) - I assume it was chicken because I didn't realize there was a choice) - it was crunchy and soft on the inside which I like, and pairs well with sriracha (did not eat till I got home) They seem to do a whole lot of take away. The staff were nice and hard working. I was excited when they first opened bc they had chow fun on the menu and being HK Cantonese, I love that dish but when I ordered it the 1st and 2nd time eight years ago instead of bean sprouts they had cabbage and that alters rhe flavor tremendously. I see why it's popular among the people but just don't think it is for my taste.

She immediately asked what we wanted in a rude tone, which set an uncomfortable atmosphere from the start. There was a sign on the table advertising a "free appetizer" if you take a photo and tag the restaurant on social media. I followed the instructions exactly as stated, but when I mentioned it, the server initially refused to honor the promotion. After I pointed out the sign, she appeared upset and walked away. I saw she went to speak to another employee and cracked a smiled and looked over. She later returned and offered a small discount instead. The issue wasn't about the money or the discount, it was the principle. The promotion was clearly advertised, and I simply followed the restaurant's own policy. It was disappointing to feel like the restaurant was reluctant to honor something they were actively promoting. I hope management addresses this because customer service and consistency with advertised promotions make a big difference in the overall dining experience.
