1st time visit after coming across their pics on Facebook. To my surprise it was absolutely delicious! The owner (didn't get his name) was so helpful & gave us samples of his sauce...delish! Big portions, reasonably priced, coupons & great customer service! We were the only two eating in the dining room, but it was spotless clean! Very welcoming, great food will definitely return! read more

Don't be fooled, the chicken is not KFC style as shown on the pictures. These are just regular wings like BW3 that are not breaded and double fried. False advertisement read more

I have been coming to chimac since 2020 and it's a place i recommend to everyone but they switched recipes for the Kbbq or maybe the new cook sucks, anyways I love this place I hope they go back to what the used to taste like fr. great service always and great ambiance. read more

Pretty darn good. Food - 8/10 I ordered the Spicy Pork bowl and the Kimchi Fries. While the bowl was good, could have used more pork and be a bit spicier, I actually enjoyed the kimchi fries more. The kimchi was nice and sour and the fries were perfectly crispy. It was a very satisfying meal. I'd probably just get a large Kimchi fries and call it a day tbh. Service - 10/10 The woman taking my order was very helpful and didn't mind me asking a bunch of questions. I'd never been here so there were some things I wanted find out. She had a genuine smile the whole time I was ordering and made the whole experience very nice. Ambiance - 8/10 I could tell walking in that this might be more of an order-to-go place but that's ok. They have a few tables and chairs inside which was good since I wanted to sit down and eat. Very basic interior but clean. Overall, I'd be coming back. The food is good and the service is good. read more

Excellent food, fast food style!. Restaurant is counter service, but pleasant enough. Ambience is high end fast food. Price is very reasonable. I absolutely recommend this place, but don't mistake it for a high end Korean BBQ, that's not what they do here. for fast friendly service with RReally good korean/american food it is pretty great! read more

I've been coming to Chimac for years now. The food here is good! The staff is friendly. The restaurant looks like a fast food place, but inside it has a more comfortable feeling. My go to is the Jerk chicken bowl Large. It is packed with flavor! It also comes with cabbage and kimchi. You can upgrade to fried rice or noodles for about $1.70 more. Check out Chimac if you're looking for something quick and different. read more

I've been eying this place for quite a while and I finally took the plunge - really good food! The restaurant is a little grungy (otherwise I would give it 5 stars), but the food is damn good! The noodles were delicious! The small size was a ton of food, you can probably share the large between two adults. read more

The place is clean but on the small side with only a couple of tables for dining in. They have various bowls that come in two sizes. Portions were decent enough for the large size. The bowls come with white rice by default, but you can pay extra for fried rice or noodles. We ordered the KBBQ Chicken bowl and the Caribbean Jerk (Chicken) bowl. Both were good but between the two, I find the Caribbean Jerk more flavorful. We also tried the 4-piece Chicken Tender combo. You get to pick the side. The chicken tender pieces were quite large, crispy, and tender. The staff actually delivered our food to the wrong table, but we were able to sort it out before any damage was done. read more

No lie I've been here about more than I care to mention lol. In the span of a month it's probably been about three times, I only discovered this place about 6 Months ago before I had YELP. ANYWAY TOU CANT GO WRONG HERE. All the bowls are delicious, there KBBQ sauce should be put up there with the soda dispensers, I'd probably fill a 16oz cup slide a straw in it and drink it. The best Korean fried chicken tenders + KBBQ sauce is here at Chimac. There is only one in the greater Houston district so if your near and you see this review, check in and get you a free side. I haven't tried the fish, so I cat voucher for the fish that is made at a chicken spot read more

Great items packed with flavor. Can be a bit pricey but otherwise a gem in the area. We usually order the bowls but have tried the chicken wings and every time it's a hit. Definitely worth a try, you won't be disappointed! read more

My initial few visits were good every time but the last one was not favorable and hence don't see my self going back. It really sucks to reduce their rating but the food was sub par. I took my son out To eat and he wanted chimac based off of his previous dining experience. We ordered a Philly Sandwich and the beef bulgogi rice dish. My biggest complaint was the portion size. The Philly was so stingy with its meat that my son actually asked me to order another Philly to satisfy his hunger. They tried to add a lot of onions n bell peppers but the quality was not good either. He didn't enjoy his sandwiches. It's a shame when businesses do not put enough meat in sandwiches. Furthermore, my bulgogi was ok also. Even though I got the spicier version. It lacked the spice. Also there was too much rice and once again, a shortage meat. I actually took the pic so close, to give it a "fuller" look. Not Plan on coming back! read more

Stopped by on our way home from the grocery store to grab a quick bite to eat. It took close to 20 minutes god our order to be ready. I'm sad to say the fries were soggy when we got them so I'm docking a point for that, they need to cut holes in the corners of the to go box to release the heat or something. The onion rings were good nothing too special, I wish the ranch was thicker! The Korean fried wings were good! Extremely hot when we bit into them, nice and crispy and juicy! The wings were also pretty big, I wish that you could switch the flavors for the other Korean flavors they offered. The gojujang flavor it came with was good, but it got tiring after the second wing. I would give this place another try! read more

I was a regular customer until yesterday. I ordered the large steak bowl with white rice like always and the portion was very small and half of it was gristle. I also ordered the 4-piece chicken tenders, and they were burnt as if they were leftovers. The meal was not fit to eat. Too much money for a meal that was not eatable. I will be taking my business somewhere else. Service was good but due to the food no thanks. read more

I recently tried the Korean ramen bowls at this spot, and they were fantastic! The noodles were perfectly chewy, the broth rich and flavorful, and the toppings fresh and generous. The staff were warm, attentive, and quick to help with recommendations. Overall, a delicious experience paired with genuinely friendly service--highly recommend! read more

Chimac had been on my list for a while but was a bit far away. I finally was in the area, so I got to try and it was worth the wait! We drove through the drive thru, and I will say the experience was a little awkward because you couldn't really see the menu from the window where you order, but it was also nice ordering face to face rather than talking to a speaker. We were a big fan of it all. I had the bowl. I think the medium was the perfect size ( I even had leftovers!) the chicken was good, I enjoyed the sauce, and I thought it was good all around. Container is reusable and easily portable. My girlfriend got the philly cheesesteak. She thought it was alright, but it wasn't super impressive. We both LOVED the Kimchi Fries. They came out so hot, and there was a perfect topping to fries ratio. Absolute must try. We asked the window operator what she thought we needed to try and she recommended the fried chicken. We got a small order of 4, and it was good (isn't all fried chicken good?) but I probably wouldn't go there just for that. Service was not the fastest, and we had to wait in the parking lot a bit before they brought it out, but it came out hot and fresh, so I guess thats the price you pay for good freshmade food! Would definitely recommend if you're in the area. I know I'll be going back! read more

The food here is worth trying and I guarantee you will be back The building on the outside doesn't look like much but they've done a great job at making it look decent enough on the inside if you wanted to eat or dine in. I discovered this place on Uber Eats and added this to my rotation of monthly restaurants that I visit highly recommend the shrimp or chicken bowls. Chicken is very tender flavorful and a portion size is very good hot wings are also good. I want to try something different from the menu but I can't get away from the rice, bowls, and wings. They currently have me in a chokehold right now. my next review from this place will definitely be about either the hamburger the Philly cheesesteak, the chicken tenders or the beef rice/noodle bowl. read more

I must say they didn't disappoint. My Soror told me about this spot so I gave it a try when I saw I was in the area when I looked for a bite to eat driving to my next work location. Food: Chicken kbbq bowl with kimchi was very good. Good amount of chicken. It had flavor. I had the fried rice and it was good as well. Other: I arrived a few minutes after it opened and people were walking in picking up orders and ordering. There was a constant line but they took orders quickly so it wasn't a long wait. The koolaid flavored drinks were hitting! Something you can make at home but I wasn't expecting it here so it was nice nostalgia from being a kid making koolaid & not having it since childhood. Give it a try. I'll be back to try some wings next time. read more

Maybe not quite four stars for overall value, but this is a good food place and the girls up front were very helpful for our first visit. Son and I visited with high expectations considering the star value awarded. Here is our story. My son ordered the spicy bbq ribeye bowl (large) and smothered kimchi fries. I had the spicy bbq wings with the side of shrimp fried rice. I do like their side options. Different from other places and a nice option from the normal. Overall. The food was very good. My son loves Asian style food and raved on the noodles and sauce for the ribeye dish. My wings were fried, but cooked perfect. The spicy sauce made these some of the best wings I've had in some time. The shrimp fried rice was as advertised. Decent to good. Plenty of shrimp for a side. We will be visiting again. Other interesting stuff on the menu. read more

After now eating here 15 times since they opened, I asked myself why I kept coming back? Usually the food is a good reason why. Here it's a great reason. My current addiction are their burritos. Honestly they are my favorite in Houston. An Asian centric restaurant serving my favorite burrito...go figure! I love the taste. Their beef and chicken here is oh so good. Combined with all of the other ingredients along with the fact it's big makes it perfect in my opinion. Also, price wise both the chicken and beef varieties are under $8. Adding to the meal are their excellent flavored drinks. They usually have 3 available at the self serve drink station that also includes a soft drink machine. The fruit punch and mango peach are my faves. Yes, I'll drink their kool aid all day long. Every time that I have visited the restaurant is spic 'n span clean. The food is cooked after you order so it's always fresh. They have a drive thru lane with plenty of parking space in front and the prices are very reasonable. They even have a rewards program that I always seem to forget to use. That's okay because I am still going to come back. This is as good as it gets! read more

I've my fair share of Korean Burgers and this is by far the most flavorful and mind-blowing one. The burger is so thick so eating it is messy. The fries are crunchy and a little thick! The reason it's 4 star is bc they made my order and let it sit for 25 minutes since they didn't know it was for me. I wish it was more organized when picking up your order than the workers recognizing which order goes to who. The dine-in area and bathrooms are super clean. COVID-19: There is dine-in option. Update: Thank you to the owner for reaching out! It's very understandable with the delay due to Covid-19 so all good! So 5 stars read more

If you are in the Northwestern burbs, this is a good spot. Surprisingly big menu with something to satisfy anyone. My companion had a beef bowl full enough for leftovers. I've seen this place in my random passing down hughway 6 since it was built in its current location a few years back. I've always wondered what was there but never got the chance to go. My curiosity sent me to this place one random day and it was a great decision. My place is a pretty chill little spot that sorta reminds me of just a small neighborhood fast food joint. I personally ordered the Korean spicy chicken bowl and the Houstalanta BBQ wings with a drink. The combo runs about $15 but it's a significant amount of food that I got to eat for two sitting. (Reheats well) The bowl was wonderful. I ordered mine with noodles and was not disappointed at all. It's a significant portion and the noodles are delicious as well as the chicken. Too it with the suggested Chimac sauce and it's a fantastic meal. The Houstalanta BBQ wings were pretty great as well. Not your typical smoky bbq wing but still very reminiscent of a good wing I've had at home. Something not notable of knocking the review was the lemonade, it reminds me significantly of the koolaid lemonade powder. Overall, this was a great food experience from nice workers, small chill setting, and amazing food. Would 100% return if I'm in the area and looking for a bite to eat. read more

Today was my 1st time trying it. I live 20 or so minutes away so it's not close. I had already looked on Yelp and had decided that I wanted to get a Half & Half bowl. However, when I arrived and tried to order it, the young lady told me they no longer did the Half & Half bowls. I was disappointed!! I ordered the Large Steak bowl ($8.49 +2.90) with no Kimchi (not sure of spelling). I told her I wanted it spicy and I wanted extra sauce (30 cents). Total was $12.65. Normally I open my food and look at it but I did not this time. I was very hungry by the time I got home. I opened the bowl and I have to agree with others, that the meat to rice ratio is not equal. For a large bowl, there should have been more meat. There was not enough cabbage. It was as if the person was putting the 1st scoop in and got interrupted and forgot to finish. I literally had a teaspoon of cabbage. The rice was plentiful. I am glad I asked for extra sauce because if I had not, the meat did not have sauce on it. The sauce definitely is a great addition!! I taste the meat without it and it was not bad. However, the sauce definitely helps it and makes it taste better. The other whitish green sauce is yummy and reminds me of like a cilantro sauce. Overall, the food was good. I would go again if I felt like eating it but I wouldn't go out of my way or make it a weekly dining experience. If and when I visit again I will specifically ask for sauce to be added in the bowl and for additional sauce. I will let them know I want the correct amount of cabbage. I definitely would ask for more of the whitish green sauce!! read more

Okay, LET'S GET INTO IT! So I've tried this spot several times via DoorDash. My first order was because I had been craving some wings and after getting burnt by Hooters. I was feeling adventurous willing to give a random spot a try to get my fix. I came across Chicmac. After "vetting" them via Google, I took the plunge. They passed the test and no joke, I literally ordered from them the next three days in a row because the hospital food was TRASH! WHAT I'VE ORDERED: - Large noodles: their noodle plain with the sauce is the bomb!!! - Wings: I've tried the lemon pepper wings, Honey Garlic, Garlic pepper, Korean Fried Wings honey Gochujang. The Lemon pepper and the Koren Fried Wings honey Gochujang are my fav. However, the Korean Wings are bready and fatty and seem to be mondo wings, lol. I also appreciate that I haven't found an accessive amount of hair on my chicken I HATE hairy chicken!!! P.S. The hot wings with dry rub (I.e Lemon pepper, garlic pepper, etc.) are not heavy with seasoning, so you might have to ask for extra if you want that banging flavorful coating, with a little bite. - The KBBQ Bowl + 6 wings + Drink Combo: I've gotten this several times in different ways, KBBQ chicken and fried rice, Shrimp, and noodles. I love the Kimchi that they add to the bowls! In general so much flavor. THE GOOD: - I love the portion sizes. They give you a great amount of food for the price I always have leftovers. - Fresh. The food I've gotten has always been fresh and serving temperature. THE BAD: - one order out of like a million I was cheated on my shrimp, it comes with 6, they gave me 4. - only other issue was one time the wings, weren't winging like normal. They were not bad but they weren't bussin like normal. However, both of these issues seemed to be one off's and this place is pretty consistent. THE DISCLAIMER: I also have not been to this establishment yet, but plan on pulling up soon, to catch the real vibes and atmosphere at the location. I'll be sure to come and update you all. Happy Eating! :) read more
