Best deal, quick and efficient a total blessing on a rough night! I got locked out of my apartment because I forgot my keycard and the app is down system-wide. My building doesn't consider lockouts an emergency and since it was midnight on a Saturday no one could help us which encourages me to move to different complex. This locksmith saved my forking life. I was in tears because everywhere else was on appointment basis or not answering. This place was transparent about pricing and how tricky electronic doors can be. They sent out a technician and he quickly assessed the situation went back to grab air tools then got me inside my apartment! Best money ever spent and now j know who to rely on if this happens in future. Even when I move down the road, they're going to be my number 1 locksmith business. read more

We worked with Jordan and Walter to change out our existing locks to keypad locks. We put a Yale automated key lock in our front door. We can create different codes for different people. Love not needing keys anymore. We have Emteks on our two other doors. They sometimes have a mind of their own but eliminates headaches and they have a nice finish. Walter installed them. He was very professional and clean. read more

5 stars! Ben helped me tremendously when I was locked out. Felt safe and secure and he got there quickly and fixed everything!

Very pleased. Glad to have my lock matter fixed. I would call again. Maybe a bit pricey but worth it.

This company is fantastic! We have used them twice now and both times a technician came within 20 minutes of calling. They get the job done quickly and are highly reliable. Will always use them when needed! read more

My family owns a condo in Chicago that we've been renting out since I moved back to MI 10 years ago. Back in April our tenant let us know that the lock to the front door was acting up. She could lock it from the inside but not the outside. I did a quick Yelp search and saw the rave reviews for Chicago Locksmith and sent in a request a quote. Minutes later I had a response. We hopped on the phone, I explained the issue, they gave me an estimate, and were contact our tenant to schedule a time for the repair. Within 24 hours the lock was fixed. The repairman called me to give me some repair options and I felt the price was fair. Our tenant said the repair was done efficiently and safely (given the COVID-19 pandemic). I was able to pay over the phone and the whole process was easy. No complaints at all! read more

Needed to replace a lost keyless remote for a 2020 Chevy Spark. I contacted 3-4 automotive locksmiths--none of whom could do the job--then got in touch with Chicago Locksmiths. I took in my blank remote--purchased separately--and a half-hour later the job was done. Friendly group of guys in the shop; all masked and Covid aware. Appreciated the off-street parking! read more

We had the unfortunate event of locking ourselves out of our home. Luckily we called Chicago Locksmith's. After talking to the call center Matthew informed us that we would be right over after completing another job. About 5 minutes later he was confirming our address and punching it into the GPS. Matthew talked us through the whole process letting us know what he was planning to do and even thinking outside the box. Our old hardware was no match for Matthew and we gained access to our unit. Should we need assistance in the future, which we hope we do not, Chicago Locksmith is definitely going to be on our speed dial. read more

Went in on a Sunday to get two home locks rekeyed. They hooked it up no problem for a very reasonable price.

I had an entry knob and deadbolt replaced at my condo - scheduling over the phone was easy, and overall I'm happy with the quality of work. Still, feeling completely ripped off. Cost of materials and tax I can live with, but $170 for labor, plus $79 service charge, plus $15 credit card fee is insane. $500 all in. Especially frustrating since they only mentioned the cost of material and labor when I asked about pricing over the phone. Definitely shop around. read more

THE BEST. We were locked out of our car with neither key working. Steve took amazing care of us. Repairing both keys and replacing with new batteries in a matter of minutes. And the price was so inexpensive we are totally recommending them. The could have upsold is on new fobs for $400 but he did not. Total honesty. read more

Matthew was Locksmith & Welder! He was awesome, the best customer service and excellent quality work! We definitely will use this company and technician again. They were easy to work with, getting the pricing and schedule the work to be done. I want to give a big thank you to Marcella. She was a customer service representative who also really helped me out with the complication since we couldn't get the whole project done right away. If you are looking for someone to change locks and have welding at the same time, ask for Matthew. read more

Great experience today with Chicago Locksmiths! Super easy to set up and confirm my appointment. Everyone that I dealt with was kind, courteous, and professional. My locksmith, David, called to confirm that he was on his way and was just a real joy to have working in my home. He replaced a decades old lock with a new deadbolt and August smart lock. Unfortunately, my new doorknob wouldnt work with the old doorknob...contraption thingy but he explained why (super long...contraption thingy) that is a different mechanism than the doorknob that I bought. But he measured and let me know that the new contraption thingy I found on Amazon was what I needed. So, once I buy it I'll have them back out to replace it. Highly recommend. read more

I called Chicago Locksmiths and I was pleasantly surprised to be asked a series of questions to determine the urgency of my need. I scheduled my service and was given a 2 hour arrival window. On the day of my service, the Locksmith called at 8:30a to inform me of when he would arrive within the 2 hour window. He was 5 minutes early (being prompt is always appreciated!), very friendly and fixed my issue in less than 5 minutes. The pricing is fair and did I mention that the Locksmith was PROMPT? I would absolutely use Chicago Locksmiths again and I'm recommending this business as well. read more

These folks are amazing!! I was locked out of my condo and had a different locksmith come out who really messed up my door. I was locked in at one point and could not get out. My door was left a mess's A friend recommended I call Chicago Locksmiths. They came in 20 minutes, got the door to open and close so I'd be safe, then came back the next day, fixed the cosmetic damage and rekeyed the locks. Ryan was the technician that came out. He was really nice, helpful and knowledgeable. I cant say enough. Totally reasonable prices as well. read more

Sorry....I did leave a review just after the service was completed. I will definitely contact again when I am ready for my other doors to be renewed. Thank you! read more

Found Chicago Locksmiths on Yelp and was extremely pleased. I had a Mortise lock with the key that kept spinning. Noah was quick to respond, arrived on time and very nice. He assessed the job and after some work was able to figure out the problem. He installed a new cylinder on an expensive lock which saved a lot of money instead of replacing. He was in and out in approximately 45 minutes. I highly recommend Chicago Locksmiths and especially Noah. read more

Jordan and the Chicago Locksmiths really helped me out in a pinch when I needed keys fast. I read a few reviews that said they make keys that work - I went to a hardware store where the keys didn't work and was so frustrated because I absolutely needed these fast and to work. Aiden changed my deadbolt to what I had wanted it to be when I hired a friend 10 years ago! Note to self - pay a professional. It's worth it. Aiden was great; he let me know what my options were, what he could and could not do due to the type of door I have. Everything was great. Aiden called to make sure that I was ready for the appointment, that I was at the condo and gave me a time of arrival. Then he called again to let me know he was at the building, etc. Everything went great. I will refer Chicago Locksmith at every opportunity I have . This is truly a weight off my mind, thank you for such great work. read more

Lost the keys to my toyota truck and I called them for a quote. The next day, Robert arrived promptly and got to work to open my truck door and make me a new key. Locksmith services in general aren't cheap but they're valuable. I wish I'd engaged Chicago locksmiths a long time ago, but they handled all our lock/door needs across our old place and new the last couple months. They replaced 4 hard to use locking mechanisms and door HW at our new place and installed a smarty entry system. At old place, Tweaked some old style door knobs, installed a new storm, and did the hydraulic install for an existing storm door. real solid work - they can help with most anything and can save you a bit by you ordering most materials. read more

Conveniently located in the city, Chicago Locksmiths is a better choice than going to the dealership. Reasonable price and open 7 days a week. They gave me a quote and offered to meet me or to visit the store for a key duplication. Garrett made sure the key was to their standards by retesting it before sending me off. I would highly recommend. read more

Good enough experience to prompt me to leave a review. They rekeyed four locks (and also fixed one of the deadbolts free of charge) within 24 hours of me calling them -- and they were literally less than half the price of the other quote I got while being fast and friendly. Would definitely use them again. read more

Very expensive. Ended up just buying new knobs and doing it myself. The guy they sent by was nice and professional, at least.
