After initial emails and a call with Carlos, we set up a meeting to review our needs at our house. Throughout the entire process, Carlos was prompt in replying and always very helpful and gave us great customer service. When his team arrived to complete the install, the work was also completed professionally. The team of three wore masks and shoe covers when inside the house. They were very courteous and explained everything they were doing prior to doing the work. I was really impressed by the job from start to finish. I'd recommend Carlos and Security Doctors.

None of his roommates were home, awake, or answering their phones, so I was starting to panic a little. From the start, the staff were incredibly patient and kind. They gave me a reasonable quote right away and said they could have a technician there within an hour. The technician called me as soon as he was on his way, and his ETA was only 15 minutes! In the meantime, we found out that one of the roommates could come let us in. I called back to cancel, fully expecting to still pay a $89 service fee since the technician was already on his way and almost there. To my surprise, they told me not to worry about it and canceled everything at no charge! The entire experience was so easy, and every interaction was quick, friendly, and professional. Even though I ended up not needing their services, I was genuinely impressed by their kindness and customer service. Truly night and day compared to other locksmiths I've dealt with in the past. I would absolutely recommend them and will definitely be calling them again if I ever need a locksmith!

I'd been looking for an experienced technician to repair a couple of my security cameras for quite…read moresome time. I hadn't had any luck finding a reputable company asking friends, family, or neighbors, so I decided to google local companies who might be able to help. That's how I found Video-Comm. The reviews looked promising, so I gave them a call. Rafael answered and agreed to come over the same day. I told him the cameras over my garage were out, and he agreed to try and repair them. Rafael told me there'd be a service fee plus the cost of labor. He quoted me a conservative estimate of about $300. Rafael and his colleague Diego arrived on time and ready to work. I left them to work in the rear of the property while I tended to my yard. They worked diligently for about three hours before successfully repairing the cameras. It turns out that the wires needed to be replaced. Rafael and Diego replaced the existing wires with copper wires and rewired them. I'm not sure of all the technical jargon, but that was the gist of it. Rafael and Diego had their own truck that had all the equipment they needed. They were quiet and respectful of the property. They cleaned up after themselves, leaving the space as they first encountered it. The final bill was $308. I found Rafael competent, professional, and affable. I'll definitely be calling him again if necessary. In fact, I asked him to send over a quote for an upgraded set of cameras. Now that I've found someone I trust, I'll definitely get new cameras sometime soon.

So I asked him to make a new blade. It doesn't go in as easily as the old blade but whatever. Fast forward 3 months later. I notice that my key sometimes takes a bit to lock or unlock the car. One night it doesn't work at all and it takes 45 minutes of trying to get into my car. Also, at this point I notice that the poorly-copied blade doesn't open the physical lock on the door! When I call Chicago Locksmiths about this, the technician says it's Honda's fault with the door and that the car key battery is probably dying. He was surprised when I told him that the old blade worked with the car door. So the following must be true 1) They made me a fob that only had 3 months of battery life or something is wrong with the transponder in the fob they programmed. 2) New blade was not properly cut. Update: They offered me a partial refund, cut the key into better shape, and reprogrammed a new fob. All done very quickly and conveniently. Came to my house to do it.
