I hadn't had any luck finding a reputable company asking friends, family, or neighbors, so I decided to google local companies who might be able to help. That's how I found Video-Comm. The reviews looked promising, so I gave them a call. Rafael answered and agreed to come over the same day. I told him the cameras over my garage were out, and he agreed to try and repair them. Rafael told me there'd be a service fee plus the cost of labor. He quoted me a conservative estimate of about $300. Rafael and his colleague Diego arrived on time and ready to work. I left them to work in the rear of the property while I tended to my yard. They worked diligently for about three hours before successfully repairing the cameras. It turns out that the wires needed to be replaced. Rafael and Diego replaced the existing wires with copper wires and rewired them. I'm not sure of all the technical jargon, but that was the gist of it. Rafael and Diego had their own truck that had all the equipment they needed. They were quiet and respectful of the property. They cleaned up after themselves, leaving the space as they first encountered it. The final bill was $308. I found Rafael competent, professional, and affable. I'll definitely be calling him again if necessary. In fact, I asked him to send over a quote for an upgraded set of cameras. Now that I've found someone I trust, I'll definitely get new cameras sometime soon.

Last summer, we had a break-in at our condo entrance, and found a need for a Full Length Interlocking Door Guard. (Highly recommended as burglars love to shimmy a screwdriver between your door and lock & open into your place easier than a SPAM can.) Pro Video Security let us select the guard. They gave a great bid to put install. We even chose to do 2 doors, given their great rate. Flash forward to 6 months later we found a small (but significant) installation error on one of the doors. Rather than haggle and hassle, they came right out and fixed it at ZERO extra cost. (As expected.) On top of that: The fix came right on time. We caught this picture of a rather infamous trio (USPS is after them) trying to break in and being foiled by the door guard. SEE PIC.

I wanted to be able to keep a watch on the dogs and also of course on my house in general. I bought the equipment from Provideo and I am all the way in California, so I had a local person install the equipment for me, and Perry took over the remote customer service, which has been far above and beyond what anybody could ever expect from customer service. If anything goes wrong, he is right there ready to help me fix it and get it up and running again. I could probably find someone locally, but there is no way I would ever find such great, friendly, knowledgeable customer service. So wherever you are in the world, these guys are the best! I had a quote by the next day and the installation process started a few days later. Jose listened to all our concerns and made us feel super comfortable with the process. On installation day he and his coworker were here from 9am-6pm, they worked really hard with wiring and setting up 5 cameras for us. Once done he went over everything with us, moved camera angles as needed and explained how everything worked. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for camera installation, Jose is a true professional and a really nice guy!

Jayden quickly found and fixed the issue I was having with my door hand and lock. He also spend some time trying to fix my deadbolt too, but he realized the key pad needed to be replaced. Though he worked on it for quite a while, he didn't charge me for it. The Professional Locksmith seems like a good, honest company with knowledgeable workers. Another company told me the handles were beyond repair and needed to be replaced and quoted me $300, but Jayden fixed it for half that.

OMG I am so happy that I found Sensact Group. Me and my boyfriend moved into a new apartment and our bedroom had a broken ceiling fan. I found this company on Yelp and the owner was so helpful. He gave me some recommendations about which fan to buy even before he met us in person. He was honest, patient and so helpful. We purchased a new fan from a store and he helped us installing the fan. Company - As anyone is these days, my condo association is…read morevery cost-conscious. We received several bids for the work we needed and Vintech was able to beat them by far. They were really willing to help us and achieved a lot of savings even with upgraded products. Vincent and Blanca have been very attentive and easy to work with. Vincent was even willing and able to retrofit some of our older cameras with newer wiring so we're set for future upgrades. Workmanship - Initially I was very concerned with getting a new security system because of all the added wires and equipment peaking out from all areas, but the techs that installed our system did an amazing job at hiding everything. I can't imagine what all goes into stringing these cables through ceilings entails, and it all happened so fast, they basically started one day and 5 cameras appeared on walls/ceilings/stair bays the next day. Product - Of course after great prices and excellent workmanship, there had to be something skimped somewhere like the DVR/cameras, but they didn't! Cameras have an ultra wide angle with excellent color and sharpness. This is from the experience with previous Sony system that we were using that was a bit older, but also high quality from ADT - the pictures look great and the DVR is very easy and fast to work with. Everything from our interactions with Vintech to the final product up and running have been met with great value. I highly recommend them!

Osceola was the 5th or 6th fence…read morecompany we contacted after many other companies broke appointments, didn't return calls or follow through. By the time we got to them, we were defeated and more or less agreed that if the quote was reasonable and we could get on the schedule quickly, we'd hire them. I found Osceola because their plaque was on the fence where I used to rent a parking space. It was a wood fence and the quality of work seemed really good. Our salesman was nice, but very salesy. To his credit, he showed up on time and gave us an estimate on the spot, so we weren't left calling and emailing to find out where we stood. We wanted to go with a steel fence with a wrought iron appearance to minimize rusting. He pushed the wrought iron, but quoted both out. We also had him quote out fixing our wood side gates, so that we can enter and exit from in and outside the property with a key. We went with the wrought iron fence, but skipped the gate work as it was more than we wanted to pay. Half of the cost was expected upon accepting the estimate. As promised we got on the schedule in about two weeks. They don't provide much notice when they're ready to install. Each time we got a 24h heads up. They came out twice; first to install the posts and the second time to put the gates and fence in. They say you don't have to be home, but personally I recommend it. They needed access to water, which wouldn't have been possible if weren't around. They also wanted to know which sides to hinge each gate. On the second visit, we weren't around and a couple things weren't done as expected. The handle/locks were put on with the wrong handles and they weren't keyed alike. The project manager was able to send someone out within a few days to rectify the keying; the knobs didn't get changed, which wasn't as important to us. We haven't had the fence long, but so far we are pleased with the workmanship.

I requested that they come out to hang 5 curtain rods and to replace a toilet. I was very clear with them that the toilet needed to be hauled away for disposal. I had an appointment set for a Thursday at 8:30am. I confirmed that appointment again two days before they were due here. The night before, they told me they had another job to go to at 7am and said they would be here between 10-11am. They finally showed up at around 1:45-2pm. Because of the way the building is constructed, they had some trouble finding where to drill holes to hang the curtain rods. So in one of my rooms, I have holes in my walls that they drilled and were supposed to fix before they left. They did not. They also did not remove the toilet. So, I was stuck with a toilet sitting in my office. They were supposed to come back today, a week later, to remove it, fix the wall, and finish some other small projects. I emailed them over the weekend to confirm but didn't receive a response. They finally confirmed at 5:30am today that they would be here at 8:30. No one showed up. So I called. Goes straight to a messaging service. Left a message. Emailed them to let them know they have to be here by 8:45 so I can let them in and show them what needs to be done because I will be tied up after that. No response. Someone finally showed up at 9:30. But I had already emailed them a second time at 8:55am to say don't bother coming back. I will go to task rabbit to find someone reliable to do this work. Fortunately, in anticipation of this happening based on what happened last week, I had already gotten a junk hauler to get the toilet out of my office on Saturday.
