So, sit tight for this review. I called Secure Locks when my daughter locked herself out of her car (well that's what we thought). Thinking the keys were in the trunk we knew we needed a locksmith. After having 0 success with my roadside assistance (grrr) I found Secure Locks. Explained my situation and was told a technician would reach out shortly (I had heard that story before). But then there was Edoardo. He called and was so great. I explained the situation. Understanding that he couldn't give me an exact number (because we weren't certain the keys were in the trunk), we agreed on the estimate and set a time for him to come out - SAME DAY. He called with his ETA and was ON TIME (I love when that happens). After some tried and true methods, he was able to open the car and then the trunk but alas, no keys. Knowing this might be the case, we went forward with him creating new keys in his mobile shop. He was back and forth between the car and his work van. He was efficient and thoughtful. He explained what work needed to happen and within 2 hours we had 2 new keys and a renewed belief in people following through on what they promise. This was such an interesting experience. Secure Locks says they have transparent pricing, but during my phone call on Wednesday, 1/7/26, I inquired about the cost and received nothing. That's my fault for not pressing the man on the issue. I scheduled my appointment for the following day, and was stood up by the technician. That evening I called to relay that no one arrived and about a half hour later, a technician called. Rescheduled for today, 1/9/26. Technician arrived and my new key cost $360. I'm not angry, but it would have been nice to be offered a discount after not showing up the previous day. After the service was completed, I called the number I used on Wednesday and Thursday, and now it's out of service. Huh? It's just unfortunate to want to trust a business, but can't. I would not recommend. If you are in a bind, Jose is not reliable and while he is polite, he is a poor communicator and fails to respect other people's time. I called Secure Locks to have a new lock installed. Jose responded quickly and agreed that he would come out the following day. The next day around 2 p.m. when I had not heard from him, I called. He apologized and said he could come out around 6 p.m. Later, when I texted him at 5:30 to let him know I was home and he could come by whenever, he said he couldn't make it. We locked ourselves out because we lost our keys. The Andrei the owner picked up the call right away and said that he would send someone over in 20 minutes. Within minutes we had several missed calls (because we weren't paying attention to our phone but rather still scrambling to find the keys). We eventually noticed and called back. George picked up and said he would be there in 30. They're communication and response time was incredible. George eventually came and was able to sort out our situation. He was very friendly and professional and it didn't take him long. Not only that, he offered to help me search for the keys which I said no. He was already very helpful. He was helpful and calm ( unlike myself) and we arranged for him to come make and program a new set of keys that afternoon. Needed an old key copied. Went here on Milwaukee because it was close by and they say they can make keys in 10 minutes. Walked into store and was greeted by young woman who proceeded to tell me "I don't make keys" and I would have to come back maybe tomorrow or day after. When I complained about you shouldn't advertise 10 minutes she the told me "I don't need your attitude". Maybe the technicians in the field are good but if you go to the office expect very little. read more

I am tucking this company site away in my contacts for when I need a new car key and will recommend them to my friends. I thought I had lost my second key and spent a frantic hour and half looking and calling places. The dealership cost was over $400....plus the "installation" which I think can run up another $200. The quote from Secure Locks was less than half of this cost, AND...they were going to be able to schedule a technician that day (I have a road trip at 7:30am tomorrow) Everyone that I talked with was so nice, accommodating and understanding of my situation. I don't know what I would have done without these guys. I locked myself out of my apartment in the city close to midnight and I honestly had no idea what to do. I went downstairs and the doorman suggested Secure Locks - apparently they are the preferred vendor for both my management company and my building. Excellent service. Andrei picked up every time I called, was easy to schedule, came on time and did a great job. My keys had been lost so he needed to make a new key for my Honda and my old Volvo (Volvos are a lot more challenging and some people won't make keys for them at all).
