If you're looking for a locksmith, look no further! I have to admit, I was skeptical - sometimes you don't know if you can trust how high the reviews are - are the bad ones hidden or perhaps they are fake reviews? But I can attest that my experience with Chicago Locksmiths was all I could have hoped for and more. Aedan was phenomenal - I called because I needed to get an electronic lock installed. He not only set up time to come by, but he proactively recommended electronic locks to me, steering me towards a better lock than the one I planning to install. After I looked further into it, he saved me the hassle of having to get additional hardware to use with the other lock I was planning to go with. That's above and beyond service in my opinion. Response time was pretty much immediate and Aedan was able to come out same day without an extra charge. Also, he was so patient throughout all my questions - just amazing customer service. Anytime I have any lock issues, I will be reaching back out to Chicago Locksmiths. read more

They helped with making a key for a file cabining - based on the model number. They were fast and friendly. The key maker also told me- just to get one made to make sure it worked before I bought multiples- that was refreshing to see. He didn't want me to waste money, in case the key didn't work for some reason. Good guys- read more

Amazing service. The gentleman who helped us was straightforward and helpful. We just wanted to replace the locks on our condo (front door, back door, and deck door) with three new that were keyed alike. He explained that we probably didn't need the super-high-end lock he had in stock, and sent us over to Crafty Beaver to get some perfectly good Schlage, and then came back to the Locksmith to have them re-keyed. Saved us money! read more

Prompt efficient service, reasonable prices! After a request through Yelp for help with a malfunctioning deadbolt lock, I soon received a response to call their office. They were able to send a technician out the same afternoon. Although the technician worked at fixing the old lock, it still did not function as well as I would've liked, so then I decided to just have him install a new lock. He did that in no time at all & explained everything as he went along. I am happy with this service & my new lock! read more

After posting a review, Chicago Locksmiths reached out to apologize. They refunded the key that didn't work PLUS compensation for my time and gas coming into the store. I didn't ask for that, and this update was not required to receive it. My takeaway from this experience is that Chicago Locksmiths is a company that cares about their reputation and is willing to do the right thing when they make a mistake. read more

I can't describe how amazing the service was. Noah literally made my day and made the process easy and talked me through what was needed. I was so worried about how this would go and he just really did a great job. If we could ask for techs personally he would do all the associations work. I am making sure to let my fellow HOA's in the neighborhood know about this company and the customer service that was provided. I unfortunately can't remember the young lady I spoke to name prior to talking to the technician but she also was amazing. Thank you so much for your services. read more

What a lifesaver! I accidentally locked my keys in my apartment as I was leaving for the airport. Went to their Diversey location to arrange to have a lock installed. Was told that they would call back with a service date/time within an hour. After four days I received no phone call. So I called them back and they had no record of my order, phone number, location..nothing. Apparantly the branch offices have no connection to the head office and vice versa. Everything is done on paper - apparantly no computers, no text, no communication among the branches. I finally called them. Tried to get the Diversey location where I started but NO, not possible. Got bounced to their phone answering services. I was very rudely placed on long hold 3 times before even describing my problem. Finally got a person (who was very curt with me). They apparently finally got on the phone with the guy from Diversey store and figured out my order. We'll see what happens next. But their phone customer service is abysmal and phone staff are rushed and rude. Thought I'd try them as they opened location near my house. Big mistake. Back to Ashland Lock next time. Much better customer service. read more

Great Company, my car would not operate and I thought it was my key fob. Robert from Chicago Locksmiths came out promptly and worked hard to make me keys to my car door , which I no longer had.
