I needed a new car key made from scratch. After calling the office and giving some details, I received a call from a locksmith, Robert, about 15 minutes later. He was on another job so we coordinated a time to meet at my car and was there about an hour later. Making a two new keys only took Robert about 20 minutes. I expected it to cost an arm and a leg and it wasn't cheap, but it was as expensive as I thought it would be. read more

I was in the market for a tiny screw for a piece of our door that fell off. I initially went to the Ace Hardware a block down and when they didn't have it, the owner advised me to drop in on the Chicago Locksmiths. Luckily, I took his advice. I was unable to find this screw anywhere. I dropped in and the gentleman inside were more than willing to oblige. They were very informative and helped make sure I had the right piece. Thanks to them, my door is locking the way it should now. They're great and very knowledgeable. read more

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to get key copies made. Service was fast and friendly and reasonably priced!

Amazing service. Same day fix by two very competent professionals who took pride in their work. It was very cold out too, so I'm especially impressed with their work on my garage side door. Great price point and will definitely use their services again in the future. Thanks Chicago Locksmiths!! read more

I walked in today after googling local locksmiths in the area and was serviced immediately by a kind gentleman. I needed two keys made because my genius of a landlord bent my key in my neighbors door but anyway, I was in and out in under 5 mins. I'll be sure to return should I need keys made in the future! read more

I locked myself out of my house and was forced to call a locksmith. I got on Yelp and completed a series of questions for locksmith service. Chicago Locksmith was one of three that I received information for. I called and the person who answered was polite and very pleasant to deal with at such a stressful time. I asked about the cost and she gave me the likely cost range, which I thought was reasonable. She told me a locksmith would contact me soon with an eta. I received a call from Jonathan within 10 mins. He was equally as polite and pleasant to deal with. Fast forward - I hope to never need a locksmith again, but if I do, I would contact Chicago Locksmith and would hope that Jonathan would be available! He was the best! I was stressed, of course, but he was so reassuring, telling me he'd do what he could to get me back into my home and able to carry on with my afternoon as soon as possible, and that's exactly what he did! Thank you Jonathan and Chicago Locksmith! read more

Service is quick, easy, friendly and efficient service; I've had about five sets of keys made at this facility and NEVER had to return due to a faulty key. Techs are available until 3AM and starting at 7AM if you ever get locked out. read more

Brian was awesome. Very friendly and professional. And timely for a weekend short call.

We have used Chicago Locksmiths twice now to get keys made. They have very professional and prompt service, and we're able to resolve our issues with determining a correct spare. We will definitely use they every time we get keys made! read more

Javier did a great job replacing a door knob and installing a deadbolt. Timely service and high quality work.

Javier got here quickly and I was back in my apartment in under an hour. Very easy process.

Really great service! Tons of keys to choose from. Way better than the keyme things in 7/11.

I used Chicago Locksmiths to get into my locked car (locked my keys inside). The service was friendly and professional however I was quoted between $60-95 dollars over the phone (plus a $40 service fee) and ultimately charged $200 AFTER the service was completed. I did not feel comfortable arguing this in person. Either someone is skimming off the top or they aren't quoting accurately, but either way that's bad business. EDIT: following this review, I got a call from the company and owner offering a partial refund for services. It is clear that the company cares about clients, customer service and their reputation, and I would definitely use them again! read more

I moved into a new condo and needed some locks rekeyed and to make sure my locks were effective. I could not be happier with the service. Joe Caplan was awesome. He explained everything to me and I didn't get sold stuff I didn't need. The price was reasonable and I even got some great conversation out of it. I would use Joe and Chicago locksmiths again and would recommend to anyone! read more

Robert came to my home today and did a really fantastic job re-keying my three locks in a quick manner. He called to let me know he was 20 minutes away, arrived wearing a mask, offered to take his shoes off, and was very pleasant to speak with. He did a perfect job and was very knowledgeable. He even taught me how to use an old lock on my balcony door that I didn't know how to work properly. Thanks Robert - highly recommend! read more

Fast & convenient. You can text them ahead and they'll give you a quote! Employees are very friend

Fantastic experience top to bottom. I called and they had a technician on site within 30 minutes. Gabriel serviced us and he was great. Not only was he quick, but he also had a ton of professional knowledge to advise on what all of our options were and his recommended best actions. He saved our night. This was also at almost midnight on a Sunday! Thanks Gabriel and a Chicago Locksmiths. Highly recommend their service. read more

We needed to upgrade and re-key our condo unit. We didn't know where to begin. So we read Yelp, reached out to Chicago Locksmiths and made an appointment for an estimate. We had a great experience with Chicago Locksmiths. Kyle came to service our storefront. I had locked myself out and we also had several problematic doors and locks. Kyle was able to secure our business, and explained everything that he was doing and why. He gave us a lot of options of what we could do to fix our lock problems, so we didn't have to spend money on things we wouldn't actually use. They are fast, efficient, and affordable. Kyle was so nice! Great service. read more

Great service. Went above and beyond to help, and to advise on the best solution for me, not what earned them the most money.

Went in on a Sunday to get a key copied. No wait, clean, and convenient location. I highly recommend them.

This place has great service and great hours! I was in and out with my key copies in less than 5 minutes and couldn't have been happier. I'll definitely use this as my go-to in Logan from here on out! read more

After hours trying to get our lock to set I finally gave up and made the call to 24/7 Chicago Locksmiths. Fortunately they were able to get out to our home promptly and knock it out. Specifically Skyler was prompt, polite, articulate and not afraid to share tips. While our lock isn't perfect (due to a door issue, not Skylar, it's not safe and secure. We've used Chicago Locksmiths in the past and will continue to do so. read more

Lost the keys to my car a while back and had no spare available. I called around to a bunch of locksmiths as I was told they are typically cheaper than the dealership. I reached out a number of places and either they didn't provide auto locksmith service, couldn't program my car key, or charged close to the dealership price. Robert, from Chicago Locksmiths came out quickly and cut the blank key I had available and was able to get the key and remote programmed very quickly. The pricing was also very reasonable, less than HALF of what the dealership and other locksmiths were quoting. Also was concerned they wouldn't come by me as I live far north of the city but distance is not an issue for them as long as you're in Chicagoland. Can't recommend these guys enough. Highly recommend!!! read more

the Tech who came in was on-time and quick to get his job done (re-key) But within a week my home was broken into while I was here - (it seems to me that the theft clearly had the key as he open both the deadbolt and the knob in 10 seconds). he saw me and ran away I called Chicago Locksmith asking for help but they said they couldn't do anything about it and not even having the Tech to come in to check to locks that they changed. read more

Made a trip to the Milwaukee St. location on a Sunday afternoon to have standard house keys copied. The two people working there had NO IDEA what they were doing at all. When presented with the finished copies I noticed the blanks used did not match the originals. They offered to re-cut the keys and did the same thing AGAIN cutting a total of 6 incorrect keys. I asked for my originals back and for a minute they had misplaced one. WTH! Total incompetence. They then asked that I come back during the week when a professional key cutter would be working. Bottom line, avoid this place! read more

Super nice and quick service, they stamp the keys so if they don't work you can bring them back and replaced free of charge. Turns out this policy is helpful because I tried all 8 keys, only 5 worked. And one stopped working after a few uses. Gotta go back and return these, since half of them are defective. Will go somewhere else for the replacements. read more
