Tried Cheesetella for the first time today with my nephew after seeing a few TikToks. We ordered on the iPad to get our goodies to-go. I was surprised by how many things were showing out of stock already and it was about 12pm. I can tell this place is busy! We got 1 regular Cheesetella and 1 regular Cheesecake. I think the Cheesetella was good, light, airy, and the cream inside was my favorite. I would love some kind of topping though, because it was a little plain and somewhat dry. I'd love the ability to choose a topping like, strawberry, chocolate, or event Nutella! The Cheesecake was also good and tastes much more like eggs than a typical cheesecake. This was a unique place to try and seemed quite popular for a Sunday afternoon when we came. People came in mostly from online order / Uber delivery. By the time we came they ran out of the Ube Cheesecake. They did have samples of it to try - the texture was buttery soft, it melted in my mouth, flavor was delicious but a little on the sweet side for me (but still pretty good considering I'm not much of a cheesecake fan). We ended up ordering the Original, which was still pretty good (would've paired up nice with a matcha drink, we'll have to order one next time). Instead, we got the Strawberry milk drink, which was like any other strawberry milk we've tried. The thing that was disappointing was I asked for light ice, they filled up half the cup with ice. I don't like having my drinks too cold, and drinking mostly ice, so places where they give me half or if not entirely ice in the drink is so disappointing. It's a small place, if there was a line inside the area, It looks like they could fit about 6-7 individuals to order. There was one table with a couple of chairs right outside their door. Staff were professional, but not personable/friendly. I would still come back to try other flavors, and one of the matcha drinks. read more

Made a bit of a mistake here on our recent visit. We ordered an ube cheesecake and the creamtella, thinking that the ube cheesecake would be big and good for sharing and that the creamtella would be just a single slice. The ube cheesecake was a full cake but kind of tiny and the creamtella was this big massive hunk of spongey cake and cream. Oops. More leftovers for us! But, hopefully we can help some others avoid making our mistake. To her credit, I think the woman working the cash register tried to tell me because I ordered a small creamtella slice and she said they're only one size...I just didn't know how massive that was! The jiggly cheesecake is also fun to eat! Ordering is pretty straightforward and easy. They are pretty fast aout bringing out the cakes and being ready to go. The set up is pretty quiet but really is meant for take out and not really for sit down. In the recent years, I've noticed a fluctuation in the quality of the castella cakes. Didn't get a chance to try a cheesetella but the iced brown sugar latte with oat milk was pretty good. They have a touch screen you can order from when you enter but you can't customize drinks on it. I was able to change the milk in my latte to oat milk by ordering at the register. The girl working there was super nice too. read more

I came here at 11:30 am. Still early in the day and they were out of almost everything. A lot of popular items. I do understand they are popular but they should be more prepared for that. Also you don't know they are out until you check the electronic menu. When I asked about an item all they said was "oh yes it's sold out". They should also let you know when the batch is coming out. Instead we just kept refreshing the menu to see what was available. It was frustrating. The cake was really good. As much as I like the cheesecake and cheese castella from here, it's a bit too pricey for what it is. The price has gone up and now, it's $16 for the same sized cheesecake. Castella's are $12 and $13 with cream. Unless you're craving this type of dessert and want the convenience that it is in Irvine, I don't think it's worth the price. The one thing that I would still come back to this place for is the Cheesetella ($12). It is literally their store name and it's the only place that sells that sponge-cake texture with cheese in the middle. I love that sweet and salty taste. Service is friendly.
