A fun place to take the kids for boba drinks after meal at nearby Panda Express. There are two tablets located on the order counter for you to place drink orders (and food order) for take-outs. If you plan to dine-in, they will direct you to a table so you don't need to order at the counter. The popcorn chicken is a yummy treat and a good portion size. Stinky tofu was ok, not great, and the pork chop is a bit small. Kids enjoyed the self-serve drink. After you pay for the drink, the staff assists you with toppings selection and then gives you the cup so you can top it off with the drink(s) of your choice. You can ask for samples of the toppings with the staff and also ask for a sample cup to try the drinks. My kids think it's more fun than Yogurtland. :) Once the cup is filled with drink(s), then you carefully bring it back to the counter and staff will seal the top with the automated boba drink machine. Ever After closed down and combined its menu to this class 302 location. I was excited to see the Ever After menu items here since I frequently went to them, so was interested to see how this compares. I got the Black sesame chicken fried rice which tasted really good! It was on the oily side though because of the sesame oil so I'll probably try their other options next time. I also got the popcorn chicken rice which came with the braised pork sauce (which I got on the side). Flavor was great, chicken was nice and juicy with a thin layer of breading. Service was great too, we got served rather quickly and food came out promptly as well. Their drink selection is still the self serve, and you can still ask for sample cups to try. I believe they also brought some drinks from Ever After to here as I didn't see them before. I'm excited to come back again and try their other menu items. Class 302 is just a gem. Friendly service, cute and clean interior, good number of seats optimized for the small cozy space. Been thinking about class 302 ever since the one near me in Rowland Heights closed years ago- so glad we found this one in Irvine! Flavors are nostalgic and portions are big. The food here is great and I love the self serve drinks. The only reason why I gave this place a four was because you cannot adjust the sugar level for any of the drinks. There a few kids on e-bikes who were a bit loud but it felt like a friendly neighborhood overall and we didn't experience any issues. You place your order at the self kiosk, then pick up your cup from a staff member. They'll ask what toppings you want, and from there you move to the self-serve drink station to pour your tea. After that, you go back to get the lid sealed. If you order food as well, you'll need to wait at the food pickup area after finishing your drink. We didn't sit down to eat, but I noticed a couple parties were dining in, and everything looked good. I'm especially interested in coming back to try their beef noodle soup. I heard that the restaurant Ever After that just closed had moved it's dishes to this location so I followed to try something I saw. My best friend lives in Irvine so we went together. When we arrived, there were only 2 tables taken. They had a pretty mural of Taiwan on the wall. To the left of the entrance were multiple teas with dispensers. We were seated and asked if we had been there before. Since neither of us had, they explained the dining and drink process. We would order our food, then go up to the boba toppings bar to get toppings first then fill up our cups with the tea of our choice! Then they seal our cup! Never been to a place like this! Thought it was super cool! We ordered popcorn chicken, Taiwanese sausage, chili wontons and wonton noodle soup. The wonton soup was interesting because it had spinach and celery in it. Interesting how it worked in the dish. We also ordered matcha shave ice and everything was amazing. I usually make it a point to visit Class 302 whenever I'm in Irvine, especially for their calamari and spicy miso udon soup. However, when we looked at the menu this time, a large portion of their dishes had been removed. The spicy miso udon soup, which is one of the main reasons I come here, is no longer available. I wasn't expecting half the menu to be gone after the renovations. The service was great. The workers were kind and attentive whenever we needed to order or asked for boxes. We also ordered a soup, though I'm not sure what it was called, and it wasn't very good. The noodles had a gelatin-like texture and the broth lacked flavor, which was definitely not what we were expecting. I ordered the calamari and pork dumplings. The calamari is still top tier as always, while the dumplings were just okay. The remodel looks really nice, but I'd consider coming back only if they bring back some of their better soup dishes. read more

I wish they didn't add the toppings first and just gave me the cup because I didn't know which drink go get. Recently rennovated! The space looks so much nicer, cleaner, and spacious. They have a self order kiosk in addition to a cashier. I love their concept of self-serve boba. I do wish the toppings were self serve as well. They have so many different types of teas to choose from: milk teas, caffeine free, non-dairy milk teas, fruit teas, unsweetened teas, and even slushies. They give you a sample cup, so you can sample each one before comitting to a whole cup of it. I love that you can dilute any of the teas with additional tea to adjust the sweetness to your personal liking.
