This place is better than their Cerritos location. I'm impressed with their milk tea selection as well as their shaved ice. We got the mango carriage and it was absolutely delicious. I think the menu is different and the shaved ice here is definitely better. Service was quick and have a decent space for seating.
Great place for a sweet treat! I love that the boba bar is self serve and I've never seen this concept before. They also have non-dairy options and slushies! I had this Strawberry Matcha dessert and it was great! I loved all of the flavors, the puddings, and fresh fruit that were put into this dessert. There's lots of seating inside and outside and service was quick and helpful. I'll definitely be back!
First time coming to Class 302. I came here after finding out my FAVORITE dessert place closed. Ever After Tea Room. I was so heartbroken when I saw they permanently closed. When I first found Ever After Tea Room, I was going there everyday for their Black Forest Snow Cake. I love it an unhealthy amount haha. But just before the sadness sets in I found out, through their page, that they had moved Ever After Tea Room to their first location and happiness was once again restored! Expect to see me an unhealthy amount for the Black Forest Snow Cake. PLEASE NEVER GO AWAY! Also I must share the love of their dessert. Each bite brings an overwhelming scrumptious joy. You can taste the immense pride in their cooking and food that I am sure that they make their food with just as much care and love. I hope their business continues to grow so that people like me can continue to eat their food.
First visit as class 302 and we were blown away by the overall concept of one flat price ($7 including tax) for a build your own boba! Their walls are set up just like yogurt land (this spot actually looks like it once was a yogurt land which is ironic because there is one a couple doors down lol) they have a topping bar that the employee will assist you with, and after your done they seal your cup and you're on your way! The teas are all actually super flavorful, the toppings are good as well! The staff is super friendly, their dining area is cute, and they offer a full food menu as well. We will be back to try their popcorn chicken!

There a few kids on e-bikes who were a bit loud but it felt like a friendly neighborhood overall and we didn't experience any issues. This place is a self serve boba setup, which can be a little confusing the first time. While I was there in line to order at the kiosk, a couple of people even asked me how to order. You place your order at the self kiosk, then pick up your cup from a staff member. They'll ask what toppings you want, and from there you move to the self-serve drink station to pour your tea. After that, you go back to get the lid sealed. If you order food as well, you'll need to wait at the food pickup area after finishing your drink. We didn't sit down to eat, but I noticed a couple parties were dining in, and everything looked good. I'm especially interested in coming back to try their beef noodle soup. We usually go to Woodbridge Cha for tea when we're craving boba and chicken, but this spot is a solid alternative if you're nearby and want something quick and casual.

However, when we looked at the menu this time, a large portion of their dishes had been removed. The spicy miso udon soup, which is one of the main reasons I come here, is no longer available. I wasn't expecting half the menu to be gone after the renovations. The service was great. The workers were kind and attentive whenever we needed to order or asked for boxes. We also ordered a soup, though I'm not sure what it was called, and it wasn't very good. The noodles had a gelatin-like texture and the broth lacked flavor, which was definitely not what we were expecting. I ordered the calamari and pork dumplings. The calamari is still top tier as always, while the dumplings were just okay. The remodel looks really nice, but I'd consider coming back only if they bring back some of their better soup dishes.
The natural, homey aesthetic is gone after their remodel and now it looks like any typical boba cafe. However, drinks are still the same which is nice. You pay for the cup, choose toppings that they add for you, then self serve fill your own cup and give it back to them to seal. Protip: the teas with sugar are VERY sweet so mix your choice with some unsweetened for a better balance. Also, not sure if it's a new item but the porridge is AMAZING, especially in this cold weather. The seafood one was loaded and the portion was huge. I'd go back just for the porridge.
Class 302 in Irvine never disappoints. I ordered a winter melon milk tea with a the popcorn chicken (medium spicy) along with the 302 basil fried rice. I got to say that everything was packed with flavor and the popcorn chicken came with a side of spice where you can adjust it yourself. Chicken also had the right amount of crispiness. Service was friendly and efficient, which made the experience even better. They also recently remodeled and the ambiance is way better than before. Much cleaner, more modern, and more comfortable to hang out in. One of my favorite parts is the drink setup. The buffet style boba and drinks are such a fun touch and let you try multiple flavors in one visit. Great food, great service, and a spot I'll definitely keep coming back to.
Boba is self serve. The store is located in the corner of. You have to buy your cup first, then they add your toppings inside then you go add your drink. I wish they didn't add the toppings first and just gave me the cup because I didn't know which drink go get. I would put a little in my cup to taste but after a few tastes they were all just mixed together. I didn't know what I ended up with. Each cup was 6 or 7$ The watermelon juice tastes good, not sure if I would pay $7 for watermelon juice here though I would come back but try something else

It was a mountain of goodness. Had mangos, a pudding on top, crystal mochi on the side, a ton of fruit garnish, a blueberry jam topping, and I think it came with layers of ice cream inside too. - It was so big, big enough for 3 people to share - My friend took 1/3 home What a wonderful 1st visit.

Tried the Taiwanese shaved ice and it was good. We had mochi, boba, strawberry, peanuts and red bean! All so yummy for a hot day! Service was also great! This Class 302 location in Irvine is still here after 10+ years!!!!! (I surely do miss the OG Rowland Heights one RIP.) After a recent visit, they got an upgrade. The self-serve boba is still there. The menu is prettier, and food is more expensive. The food is prettier too. I was here because I missed Taiwanese shaved snow. Class 302 still does it the best. Seems like they're a combination of the old class 302 and ever after (which recently closed). I usually go for the self-serve boba tea, but decided to have a quick meal this time. There are dog friendly items on the menu and healthy variations of some homey dishes. I really enjoyed the salted egg yolk and chicken porridge!! Not something you can find in other restaurants. Not a big fan of their popcorn chicken, unfortunately. I would come back to try their other dishes. read more

Class 302 got a glow-up The space feels so much fresher with new furniture, wall art, and sleek drink dispensers. Way cleaner and more modern than before. Drinks are less sweet by default now (a big plus!) and they give you sweeteners on the side if you want to adjust. Love the changes since the days of jumbo cup sizes. Every cup is a flat $7, which makes ordering easy. Food-wise, the popcorn chicken is solid. Crispy with not too much breading, tasty with or without sauce. Pro tip: you can ask for extra basil at no cost. Overall, I like the direction they've taken and will definitely be back to explore more drinks and bites. read more
The restaurant was clean and spacious. Service was quick and friendly. We came in late Saturday night for something sweet after dinner. They have good selection of snow shaved ice. We ordered the Black Forest shaved ice. The chocolate shaved ice with blueberries jam, sliced almonds, fresh strawberries, and pudding was a perfect combination. Highly recommended. read more
The bowl lied, this portion was huge! Very flavorful and hearty, perfect for those trying to escape the flu. I really appreciated all the veggies, there was something on the noodles though, I first thought it was garlic but it was a soft texture, not sure what it was but I wasn't a big fan, otherwise the shrimp wanton soup was perfect! The service was very welcoming as soon as I came in, and let me enjoy my food in peace. The Cafe overall is quiet and small, well lit, with self-serve tea near the entrance. Overall it was a very pleasant experience, will come back to try more. read more

This was a fun first visit! It's a tea shop and tiny restaurant, you can choose from a bunch of different teas and then choose your toppings, they give you little taster cups to try which flavors and they are all really good! Then you fill your cup with which toppings you like take the cup over to your tea choice and fill it yourself put it on a tray at the counter and they will seal it for you. We had a lot of fun with the process a great place to take kids and family. They offer a small menu of food too we will come back next time to try the food. Lots of parking in a shopping district and open play area for friends and family with a water fountain out front. Wonderful vibes definitely a must try! read more

We stopped by the plaza and decided to grab something to eat on the patio. We agreed to go with whichever spot sounded good, and I'm so glad I chose Class 302 -- it definitely didn't disappoint! I ordered the basil fried rice with a spicy level, added popcorn chicken on the side, and paired it with their honey milk tea with crystal boba. Everything was flavorful and satisfying. The fried rice had the perfect kick, the popcorn chicken was crispy and delicious, and the honey milk tea was refreshing and just the right amount of sweet. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a quick and tasty lunch option, especially if you want something casual to enjoy on the patio! read more

My son wanted to try out a self serve boba place, and we came upon this place. When we came it seems like they are just remodeling their menu bar they did not have anything. It can be confusing when you first go inside because there is no sense of direction on how it works just fyi. 1. You pay first. 2. Ask for Sample cup (to try before committing to a flavor) 3. Choose your toppings a good amount of selections, the staff has to pour it in for you. 4. You have options of regular liquid flavors to slushy type as well. 5. After you have filled up your cup, you then go back to the register so the staff can seal the cup. It was an interesting experience, but I was not a fan of how it tastes. I did not try any food here, since the Irvine location was still under construction. Nothing was on the menu for food wise. Also, I went on a Sunday noon time, the table section was closed off. So it's more of order and go until they fully reopen since it's still soft opening I believe. read more
So many tea options now! I think the tea is also a lot better, they even have rising phoenix oolong milk tea. They give a sample cup and I think I tried like 80% of them and I thought they were all pretty good. They only thing is that they don't let you do your own toppings anymore. read more

It's been about 10+ years since I last visited this place. We don't live nearby & over the past decade there have been so many new dining options. Today, I decided to come back & wow, they've completely upgraded the place & the new look is cleaner, modern, plus the service was friendly and great! It's an all you can try for milk tea and slushes, tons of flavors, icy cold , plus lots of variety of Taiwanese street food, shaved ice etc. Of course, I had to try the top 2 popular items: the stinky tofu & oyster pancake , dang,, they were legit! They gave you enough oyster in every bites. We loved everything about this place and will definitely be back! read more
Recently rennovated! The space looks so much nicer, cleaner, and spacious. They have a self order kiosk in addition to a cashier. I love their concept of self-serve boba. I do wish the toppings were self serve as well. They have so many different types of teas to choose from: milk teas, caffeine free, non-dairy milk teas, fruit teas, unsweetened teas, and even slushies. They give you a sample cup, so you can sample each one before comitting to a whole cup of it. I love that you can dilute any of the teas with additional tea to adjust the sweetness to your personal liking. Once they give you your boba cup, you let them know what toppings you would like, fill up your cup with tea, juice, ice, and return the cup for them to seal. This was an amazing and unique boba experience! read more
Wasn't sure how this worked. It's a self serve boba place but there's no clear directions. Walk in and cups aren't easily found. Do you pay first? If it's self-serve why does the topping bar present to The customers with spoons and scoopers but has a sign that says see staff? Getting boba should be a brainless activity. This was too complicated and I wasn't about to wait in a line for food if all I wanted was boba. Some signs would make a difference. read more

They renovated! The inside is brand new and seems more spacious. I love getting boba here and bringing friends/family because there's something for everyone. Lots of different toppings and drink flavors to choose from. I love their Class 302 Vintage Milk Tea with boba and creme brulee (egg pudding). My bf mixes the Class 302 Vintage Milk Tea with the Taro Milk Tea, and gets boba, creme brulee, and crystal boba. read more
I've always dreamed of trying out a self serve boba place. This place has apparently been around since 2014, maybe I heard about it before then forgot but it was a new experience for me personally! How it works is: 1. Pay for your drink (or food, I only came here for the boba experience) 2. Get handed a cup filled with boba, they'll tell you to go and fill it up with your drink of choice over in the self serve section of the restaurant. 3. Request a sampler cup so you can taste other flavors without adding it into your final cup. Go and sample their flavors to see which one you like. 4. Fill up the final cup with ice (if you want), then fill it up with the final drink of your choice. 5. Hand the final cup back to the employee, they'll add any additional toppings you want from their toppings bar (you're not suppose to self serve this it has to be done by the employee apparently). 6. They'll seal the cup up and hand it back to you. One caveat however is the drink didn't taste as great when it mixed with the boba. The boba has a distinct taste to it that messes with the flavor. I remember trying the honey ginseng by itself and thought wow this was great, then when I tried it with my boba I was like "oh wow this really tastes different". It's kind of a bummer and in the future I'll probably not add boba. There was really no way to test it with boba since the sampler cups were kind of small and it'd be messy to not only add boba into the sampler cup but mix it up as well. I really liked the overall experience, but really wished my drink didn't taste worse simply by having toppings in it. read more

This is one of my favorite places to go to whenever I'm in Irvine. It's like a self serve boba place, and I just love the experience. The employees let you choose whatever toppings you want, and from there you can get whatever drink you'd like and adjust it to your taste. Although I mostly come here for the boba, their food is pretty good too! read more
This is rating their snow cake dessert. Class 302 has been remodeled. I had a chance to try out their dessert and it's the same as Ever After Tea Room (same owner). It's nice to have the same menu on this side of OC. They are also bringing some menu items there as well as the classic Class 302 menu items but that starts on 9/3/25. Beautifully renovated. Can't wait to enjoy the food once the kitchen is back up and running 9/3. Boba is soft and chewy, but no flavor to them. The honey milk tea and almond milk tea combined are my favorite duo. They now offer many more options of teas along with milk teas. Plenty of options for toppings. Service was great, the lady was so nice. Not sure if she's the owner but she was sweet. I have always loved the concept of self serve. You can experiment with your own flavors. read more
They're back after their remodel! The idea for their drinks at least has remained the same and they're now soft opened (drinks only for now). Drinks are self-serve. Which means you pay first to get your cups ($7 at the time of this review), grab a small sample cup (to try different flavors/combos), let the staff members know what toppings you want (there's a wide assortment - this is one of the few places that has the almond tofu I love!), then go free and fill your cup with drinks/ice (there are dairy-free options, slushy options, unsweetened options, with milk and without milk, etc.), and then go back to the front and ask them to seal your cup for you. It's a fun experience honestly. I love mixing different teas to find what works best. If I want a milk tea, the honey milk tea mixed with some unsweetened black tea (to tone down the sweetness), and a splash of the almond milk tea is one of my go-tos. The 302 milk tea is also quite delicious, but the honey milk tea is definitely my favorite of the bunch, especially when I make it less sweet with some black tea. The toppings are yummy. I love the puddings and the almond tofu, their boba is not bad either. When I went this time, it was chewy and warm with a good amount of sweetness without being too much. The seating inside was okay, I do miss the coziness of their previous decor. Outside there's also plenty of seating available and the weather is usually quite nice, so I prefer sitting outside and catching up with friends. I'm so glad they're back! read more

My friend loves boba tea. We were in the area and decided to check it out. We both absolutely loved it! You can customize everything from the boba to the tea and they even have freezes you can have. So delicious! And you pick your own items. They do allow sampling too so you can get exactly what you like. Line was long on a Saturday but it went fairly quickly. read more
This is my family's go-to spot for their Taiwanese-inspired street dishes and small eats. The interior decor and furniture has been purposely designed to be reminiscent of classrooms in Taiwan, which is a nice & nostalgic touch. We came on a Saturday afternoon around 2 PM and it took around 20 minutes for us to get our food. Stinky Tofu (4/5) - Definitely an acquired taste! It's paired with pickled cabbage and a slightly sour/sweet/spicy sauce. My parents have both tried this dish and said that it's accurate to what they used to eat in Taiwan growing up. - Would recommend for anyone who loves stinky tofu, but this definitely isn't for everyone! Popcorn Chicken (4/5) - Nice and crispy. Flavor is pretty good, although I wish there was option for it to be a little spicier. Paired nicely with the stinky tofu. We've tried other items on their menu before (like their pork noodle soup) and the taste was more average. Overall still an affordable spot, and worth checking out if you're looking for a more casual setting and some quick bites. read more

The server was helpful since it was my first time This is a self serve tea place, so you can't adjust sugar or dairy options. There's a standard size/price for the drinks, you can sample the flavors, and then can choose as many toppings as you want (and they have lots of options). The fun part is you can mix flavors as you wish! I mixed the matcha/wintermelon milk teas and added boba and grass jelly. It was very sweet but fun to make my own flavor. Recommend for a chill hangout/date or if you're feeling creative. read more

Do you have vegan options for the bubba drinks?
The Basil fried rice, pineapple fried rice, 302 fried rice, braised tofu are the vegetarian options I know
What time does the store close cause I arrived at 11:30 and door was locked and looked like the owner was just on the phone?

You order and pay at the front. The cashier will put the toppings for you. Then you pour the tea yourself and the cashier will seal it. Due to covid there are no sample cups.
Are there dairy substitutes like almond milk or coconut milk?
I think there are nondairy options. They have passion fruit and mango green teas, winter melon teas, and several slushee flavors. As for the toppings, there is boba, fruit jelly, and puddings.
You sell Thai tea?
Yes they do. They have Thai tea in slushy also :) the boba and teas are self serve.
