TL;DR: come for big portions of delicious Taiwanese food, don't eat in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute, medium-sized Taiwanese cafe with a variety of street and comfort foods.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is half gimmicky boba shop and half sit-down-and-eat restaurant; we only tried the latter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll preface by saying they seem understaffed, and it doesn't seem like their wait staff was given a lot to work with. It reads like a restaurant that's supposed to be counter order and self-seating, but has table service shoehorned in. You're going to have to assert yourself and ask to be helped. But the one person who helped us was enthusiastic, friendly, and patient. If you're craving Taiwanese food this is a very, very solid option. My favorite food in the world is popcorn chicken, and theirs is juicy, crispy, and satisfying. I had the popcorn chicken bowl and was surprised that it was served on top of a bowl of braised pork rice. The result was a homey, sweet, fatty bowl of love with some tangy sweet cucumbers to balance. Next time I'll ask for extra basil. My Taiwanese husband had the beef yakisoba, and he tells me it's nostalgic of the food he grew up eating in Songshan. I thought it could use a bit of salt. We rounded it off with bacon cabbage, which was wonderfully smoky and slightly sweet, and umami "wasabi" fries, which despite being just fries with takoyaki sauce, mayo, and bonito, hit the spot after a stressful work week. And it went down with a *huge* bottle of cold Taiwan beer. With massive portions of tasty food at pretty decent prices, this satisfies a craving we have a hard time fulfilling, and will definitely be back. Come in and leave a tip to support the wait staff; but for convenience, we'd suggest ordering takeout ahead and eating it in the mini park outside. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A fun place to take the kids for boba drinks after meal at nearby Panda Express.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There are two tablets located on the order counter for you to place drink orders (and food order) for take-outs. If you plan to dine-in, they will direct you to a table so you don't need to order at the counter. The popcorn chicken is a yummy treat and a good portion size. Stinky tofu was ok, not great, and the pork chop is a bit small. Kids enjoyed the self-serve drink. After you pay for the drink, the staff assists you with toppings selection and then gives you the cup so you can top it off with the drink(s) of your choice. You can ask for samples of the toppings with the staff and also ask for a sample cup to try the drinks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My kids think it's more fun than Yogurtland.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] :) Once the cup is filled with drink(s), then you carefully bring it back to the counter and staff will seal the top with the automated boba drink machine. Fun experience for boba drink lovers.
This Class 302 location in Irvine is still here after 10+ years!!!!! (I surely do miss the OG Rowland Heights one RIP.) After a recent visit, they got an upgrade. The self-serve boba is still there. The menu is prettier, and food is more expensive. The food is prettier too. I was here because I missed Taiwanese shaved snow. Class 302 still does it the best. I came here specifically to try the stinky tofu but was a little disappointed because it was very salty. The Pork Hock Mee Sua, however, was good and tasty. The other items that we tried were just ok. Nothing stood out. Prices were slightly on the higher side, but portion was huge. Dessert was so huge that 4 people could share a portion. I was told that the Beef Noodle Soup and Porridge are good. The food here is great and I love the self serve drinks. The only reason why I gave this place a four was because you cannot adjust the sugar level for any of the drinks. The popcorn chicken is delicious and there's one drink that reminds me of a drink I use to get when Orobae was around. The drink at Class 302 that is my fave is the Phoenix oolong milk tea. They changed up the menu since the last time I came here and it has healthy options as well as more selection on the menu. Fun tip: enter a fun name for your order name on the kiosk!!!
Ever After closed down and combined its menu to this class 302 location. I was excited to see the Ever After menu items here since I frequently went to them, so was interested to see how this compares. I got the Black sesame chicken fried rice which tasted really good! It was on the oily side though because of the sesame oil so I'll probably try their other options next time. I also got the popcorn chicken rice which came with the braised pork sauce (which I got on the side). Flavor was great, chicken was nice and juicy with a thin layer of breading. Service was great too, we got served rather quickly and food came out promptly as well. Their drink selection is still the self serve, and you can still ask for sample cups to try. I believe they also brought some drinks from Ever After to here as I didn't see them before. I'm excited to come back again and try their other menu items. Ordered the summer fruit snow ice, blueberry sauce, milk base snow ice. It was very delicious and not too sweet. Egg pudding on top. Very nice portion to share among party of 4. Very friendly staff and even allowed my dog inside. They have a dog menu which I didn't know about. Would definitely come back to try other things!
We had dinner in the area and came here for their shaved ice. We loved going to Ever After so we were glad that they brought the menu items to this location. Tried the Taiwanese shaved ice and it was good. We had mochi, boba, strawberry, peanuts and red bean! All so yummy for a hot day! Service was also great! They're attentive and bring water and cups right when you get seated!
Seems like they're a combination of the old class 302 and ever after (which recently closed). I usually go for the self-serve boba tea, but decided to have a quick meal this time. There are dog friendly items on the menu and healthy variations of some homey dishes. I really enjoyed the salted egg yolk and chicken porridge!! Not something you can find in other restaurants. Not a big fan of their popcorn chicken, unfortunately. I would come back to try their other dishes.
Class 302 is just a gem. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Friendly service, cute and clean interior, good number of seats optimized for the small cozy space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We tried their oyster pancakes -- yum! -- and the cucumber salad, the matcha crème brûlée, and the oat milk tea. I love that they have an oat milk option, since I am allergic to dairy. Their boba is self-serve. We will definitely go back again, and a big thanks to the awesome staff who always work so hard.
The dish was very biig. Id say its worth it. Id suggest sharing with another person. It had custard in it as well. It had a very fun service cafe part and you can add other things to your drink like jelly. My friend got popcorn chicken and we shared, that was waaay too salty. The employees were attentive and asked about our well being. I did get confused where to order my dish at the kiosk. Took me a while to get it. The employee made it all better cause i wanted to dine in but the kiosk were "to go " orders only.
Love their awesome shaved ice menu! Instead of artificial sweeteners, the low carb skinny princess shaved ice uses monk fruit sugar, which does not spike blood sugar, contains zero calories, and provides antioxidants. The fruit ingredients are also fresh and generous. It's a must have in the summer!
Great place for a sweet treat! I love that the boba bar is self serve and I've never seen this concept before. They also have non-dairy options and slushies! I had this Strawberry Matcha dessert and it was great! I loved all of the flavors, the puddings, and fresh fruit that were put into this dessert. This place is known for their teas and desserts, so I was surprised by how much food they had. We tried the Pork Belly Bun, Taiwanese Beef Yakisoba, Pork Chop Noodle Soup, and Miso Salmon. The Pork Chop Noodle Soup was easily my favorite with a flavorful savory broth and crispy pork chop. For my drink, I got the Watermelon Juice with Strawberry Boba, which was refreshing and had the right amount of sweetness. We finished with the massive Summer Farm Snow Cake, loaded with milk snow, fresh fruit, blueberry jam, and condensed milk. Definitely a shareable dessert! This place was a great spot for a quick boba and snack fix. There's plenty of outdoor seating, which is nice. There a few kids on e-bikes who were a bit loud but it felt like a friendly neighborhood overall and we didn't experience any issues. This place is a self serve boba setup, which can be a little confusing the first time. While I was there in line to order at the kiosk, a couple of people even asked me how to order. You place your order at the self kiosk, then pick up your cup from a staff member. They'll ask what toppings you want, and from there you move to the self-serve drink station to pour your tea. After that, you go back to get the lid sealed. If you order food as well, you'll need to wait at the food pickup area after finishing your drink. We didn't sit down to eat, but I noticed a couple parties were dining in, and everything looked good. I'm especially interested in coming back to try their beef noodle soup. We usually go to Woodbridge Cha for tea when we're craving boba and chicken, but this spot is a solid alternative if you're nearby and want something quick and casual. read more
First visit as class 302 and we were blown away by the overall concept of one flat price ($7 including tax) for a build your own boba! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their walls are set up just like yogurt land (this spot actually looks like it once was a yogurt land which is ironic because there is one a couple doors down lol) they have a topping bar that the employee will assist you with, and after your done they seal your cup and you're on your way![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The teas are all actually super flavorful, the toppings are good as well! This place is better than their Cerritos location. I'm impressed with their milk tea selection as well as their shaved ice. We got the mango carriage and it was absolutely delicious. I usually make it a point to visit Class 302 whenever I'm in Irvine, especially for their calamari and spicy miso udon soup. However, when we looked at the menu this time, a large portion of their dishes had been removed. The spicy miso udon soup, which is one of the main reasons I come here, is no longer available. I wasn't expecting half the menu to be gone after the renovations. The service was great. The workers were kind and attentive whenever we needed to order or asked for boxes. We also ordered a soup, though I'm not sure what it was called, and it wasn't very good. The noodles had a gelatin-like texture and the broth lacked flavor, which was definitely not what we were expecting. I ordered the calamari and pork dumplings. The calamari is still top tier as always, while the dumplings were just okay. The remodel looks really nice, but I'd consider coming back only if they bring back some of their better soup dishes. read more

The natural, homey aesthetic is gone after their remodel and now it looks like any typical boba cafe. However, drinks are still the same which is nice. You pay for the cup, choose toppings that they add for you, then self serve fill your own cup and give it back to them to seal. Protip: the teas with sugar are VERY sweet so mix your choice with some unsweetened for a better balance. Also, not sure if it's a new item but the porridge is AMAZING, especially in this cold weather. The seafood one was loaded and the portion was huge. I'd go back just for the porridge. read more

We ordered a variety of 'Taiwanese' food items....unfortunately, nothing satisfied my nostalgic craving of Taiwanese food. All had a "hint" of what each item should taste like but none actually hit the mark. It felt like a foreigner trying to cook an ethnic food for the first time. Service was friendly. My first time here. It's so great to get shaved ice, or their milky ices. The shaved ice is kind of a rough ice (not like snow), but you get to choose 5 toppings: crystal mochi, taro/sweet sauce, red bean, almond tofu, grass jelly, jasmine jelly (THE BEST), and condensed milk on the side. - Big enough for 2 people My friend ordered a milk shaved ice. It was a mountain of goodness. Had mangos, a pudding on top, crystal mochi on the side, a ton of fruit garnish, a blueberry jam topping, and I think it came with layers of ice cream inside too. - It was so big, big enough for 3 people to share - My friend took 1/3 home What a wonderful 1st visit. read more

Class 302 in Irvine never disappoints. I ordered a winter melon milk tea with a the popcorn chicken (medium spicy) along with the 302 basil fried rice. I got to say that everything was packed with flavor and the popcorn chicken came with a side of spice where you can adjust it yourself. Chicken also had the right amount of crispiness. Service was friendly and efficient, which made the experience even better. They also recently remodeled and the ambiance is way better than before. Much cleaner, more modern, and more comfortable to hang out in. One of my favorite parts is the drink setup. The buffet style boba and drinks are such a fun touch and let you try multiple flavors in one visit. Great food, great service, and a spot I'll definitely keep coming back to. read more
Boba is self serve. The store is located in the corner of. You have to buy your cup first, then they add your toppings inside then you go add your drink. I wish they didn't add the toppings first and just gave me the cup because I didn't know which drink go get. I would put a little in my cup to taste but after a few tastes they were all just mixed together. I didn't know what I ended up with. Each cup was 6 or 7$ The watermelon juice tastes good, not sure if I would pay $7 for watermelon juice here though I would come back but try something else read more

Class 302 got a glow-up The space feels so much fresher with new furniture, wall art, and sleek drink dispensers. Way cleaner and more modern than before. Drinks are less sweet by default now (a big plus!) and they give you sweeteners on the side if you want to adjust. Love the changes since the days of jumbo cup sizes. Every cup is a flat $7, which makes ordering easy. Food-wise, the popcorn chicken is solid. Crispy with not too much breading, tasty with or without sauce. Pro tip: you can ask for extra basil at no cost. Overall, I like the direction they've taken and will definitely be back to explore more drinks and bites. read more
The restaurant was clean and spacious. Service was quick and friendly. We came in late Saturday night for something sweet after dinner. They have good selection of snow shaved ice. We ordered the Black Forest shaved ice. The chocolate shaved ice with blueberries jam, sliced almonds, fresh strawberries, and pudding was a perfect combination. Highly recommended. read more

The Basil fried rice, pineapple fried rice, 302 fried rice, braised tofu are the vegetarian options I know
What time does the store close cause I arrived at 11:30 and door was locked and looked like the owner was just on the phone?

You order and pay at the front. The cashier will put the toppings for you. Then you pour the tea yourself and the cashier will seal it. Due to covid there are no sample cups.
Are there dairy substitutes like almond milk or coconut milk?
I think there are nondairy options. They have passion fruit and mango green teas, winter melon teas, and several slushee flavors. As for the toppings, there is boba, fruit jelly, and puddings.
You sell Thai tea?
Yes they do. They have Thai tea in slushy also :) the boba and teas are self serve.
