Grilled Chicken Pecan Salad
Nancy L.

We both ordered the grilled chicken pecan salad. The salad was very fresh with a good amount of ingredients on it. Our server was quick and attentive. She brought out warm croissants with butter streamed on them. They were heavenly. We are from out of town and we are not familiar with the Cheddars Scratch kitchen restaurant, but we would most definitely come again

Yum! The aroma of grilling steaks hit me right in the feels when I exited our vehicle and I knew right then what I would be ordering. I've resisted going to Cheddars when visiting my parents in the past solely due to it being a franchise (because I enjoy dining in small, independent businesses as much as possible). Tonight Mom won the choice of restaurant so off we went! I'm sorry I was such a "food snob" before because I will definitely be back! :) We were greeted by a sweet hostess with a sincere smile upon arrival and were seated immediately. Shelby L. was a very personable & exceptional lserver and took really great care of us. Our drinks were refilled without asking and even before they were fully empty. That's attention to detail that we appreciate! She made our side salads fresh to order and brought them out before our dinner just as requested. The side salads were basic, but fresh and the honey lime dressing & Caesar dressing was really good. The complimentary croissants dripping in honey butter were addictive! Yum. Dinner - my ribeye came out perfectly medium rare just as ordered and the green beans were very flavorful with onions and a bit of something sweet that we couldn't place. I would definitely order this meal again. A huge 12 ounce ribeye so I took half home and half of my green beans and I am really stuffed! Their food is a great value too! My Mom gets chicken pot pie every time and I tried some and it was really delicious with huge chunks of chicken (which she complained about because she had to cut them up and it was a little difficult). but I think it's great. I told her that's a great first world problem to have. LOL! My Dad ordered the meatloaf and while he said he has had better, he had no problem eating every last morsel. I think he made a mistake, Mom and I both have great leftovers for tomorrow's lunch! Cheddars' parking lot is always full and I can see why. Great food at a great price keeps loyal customers coming back.

Cheddars started delivery recently and we ordered at 6 pm. Through the website directly. Cheddars then dispatch's the delivery to uber eats. I saw the driver at Cheddars on the link cheddars sends you. The driver acknowledged getting my food. I received a call at 8:30 from cheddars that the driver never picked up the food. I messaged the driver to let them know I knew they didn't pick up my order and at that point he was 6 minutes from my house he then turned around to go get it. Then proceeded to cancel my order. I highly recommend getting rid of uber eats. The restaurant remade it but it was cold when we got home and just not worth $45 in my opinion. Just go dine in if wanting cheddars. I will also add that because I ordered through the cheddars website directly, uber eats could not refund me or remove the tip or anything my they told me the store couldn't assist and I'd have to call cheddars corporate. We will see if I hear back.

We came during supper hour with family. Ordered Loaded baked potato soup and side salad, chicken pot pie, grilled chicken pecan salad , spinach dip. Generous portions for reasonable price. Loved the complimentary croissants. The Margarita ordered from the bar was weak--4 stars. Attentive staff, clean restaurant and bathroom. Would return. Edited to add menu pics

Cheddar's is a chain restaurant that is consistently clean and has great service wherever I've visited them across the country. This evening was no exception. We sat at a high top in the bar area so had no wait. The bartender was our waitress and she was super friendly. Drinks and food both came out promptly. If they still have the watermelon margarita when you read this - it's a must order! So refreshing on a hot summer day.

It offers…read morelarge portions of mediocre overcooked bar food (burgers, sandwiches, fried foods, a few salads and some home cooking specials). The inside looks like a dive bar and a basic cafe combined. Meager looking tables, chairs and booths with second rate condiments on the tables (who's ever heard of Red Gold Ketchup). The waitresses are pleasant. If you are looking to fill up on basic bar food then perhaps you will enjoy and be the type to give a 5 star rating like others have. For me, it's a 2 star rating. Not the worst I've ever had but far, far from the best.

My meal, two pieces of white meat, coleslaw, mash potatoes and Texas Toast for $9.95! Large portions of delicious juicy fried chicken golden brown, buttery creamy mash potatoes with gravy from scratch and cream coleslaw with just enough sweetness. The meal was so large I ended up bringing half of my chicken home. Husband had the pork tenderloin. It was double the size of most tenderloins in most restaurants. The condiments, Red Gold has been around from the 1940's, and family owned. Information on this U.S. business is some of the portion used from purchasing Red Gold products is given to support the hungry, disaster relief and the U.S. military. The restaurant looks like it use to be a bar with a pool table at one time. There is still the divider on the bar a section for the waitresses, large mirror behind the bar on the wall, the ceiling and the old beer light towards the back lead me to believe this. We were looking for a nice looking atmosphere restaurant. We were looking for a place with good food. The staff was friendly, prices were very reasonable. These days you can't find a restaurant with great, large down home cooking for two plus drinks for under$35. We will be back, maybe for the walleye special on Wednesday.

I'm really not sure where to start with this review. It wasn't a pleasant experience at all. I saw…read morephotos of the food on Yelp and thought this might be a good dive or greasy spoon style diner to have lunch at with my husband, since I was in the area. We met there and the outside aesthetic alone should've warned us off. To start, the exterior of the building was quite worn down, the windows were dark and dirty, and the sign was broken. If it weren't for the cars parked outside and for the fact that I called ahead to ensure they were open, we would've thought they were closed for business, permanently. We enter the building lobby, for lack of a better word, and proceed into the dining room. The first step into the dining room was me stepping into a literal hole that is covered with a rubber mat. That's a definite hazard. I couldn't believe that they'd just cover it with a mat. That's really dangerous. At that point, I was really starting to rethink staying. We walk further in and there is this atrocious, sour, vomit-inducing stench that billows throughout the room. It slaps you in the face and takes your breath away, and it's covered by a very strong pine smell. Again, I'm contemplating leaving but my husband didn't want to make a scene. The place is FILTHY! And I don't mean filthy as in someone spilled food and didn't clean it up. I'm talking decades of grease, dirt, bacteria, etc. covering the floor and furniture. You could take a putty knife and chisel up layers of gunk from the floor. There was even a sign that said something like- "Wipe tables down each night- Alli". I'm paraphrasing, but that was the gist. If you have to tell your staff that.... ugh... We get to the table and I didn't even want to touch the chair to sit, let alone stay there and eat, but I didn't want to leave right after we entered the place. I was hoping (praying) the food would be worth it... The waitress comes over to take our drink order and brings the drinks back pretty quickly. The cup felt like it hadn't been washed, ever... It had a layer of grime on the outside. Say you cooked something greasy at home and let the greasy dish soak in the sink for a day, but a cup fell into the pan and soaked with it overnight. When you pick it up the next day and the grease is stuck to the side of it- that's what it felt like. I would've asked for a new cup, but I knew in my gut that the next one wouldn't be any better. It's like they run their dishes through a dishwasher that only has cold water and no hot water. Bleh. They take our food order and I'm quite literally praying that we don't get sick from eating here. Why I stayed, I have no idea. I guess I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. The waitresses seemed like they had their own issues and I didn't want to add to it. The food comes out and and it's time to eat. My burger was ok at first, clearly a frozen patty but I'm giving it a shot. Then I taste something off and stop eating it. My fries... I just can't even... a few of them were ok, but then I got to some that tasted like they had been fried in a deep fryer that had been used for years without being cleaned or having the grease replaced. My burger also tasted like it was cooked on a filthy grill. My husband couldn't stomach the place and only ate the things on his plate that he thought couldn't make him sick. We got the ticket, paid, and left as quickly as we could without being too obvious or rude. It's a little restaurant that is clearly struggling. This place was beyond 'dive' or 'greasy spoon' status. There's no possible way that this restaurant is safe to eat at. I honestly don't know how they ever pass the health inspection. The level of dirty here is not something that can be cleaned up the day before inspection day, just to get this dirty again between inspections. It must never, ever, be cleaned, or the inspector is blind, literally. As you can guess, we will never be eating here again and I don't recommend that you do either.
