    Full Lunch Caddy

We had tried breakfast and supper so we decided to give lunch a try as well, so Thursday afternoon when we had gotten off work we decided to see if lunch was as good as the other times much to our pleasure it had been really good all 3 times. We are pleasantly surprised and more than pleased!! We split an order of onion rings, my husband thought they would be a single-size but much to our surprise it was enough to feed 3 or 4 of us once our lunch had arrived. You truly do get your money's worth. For lunch, I tried the Chicken BLT on a Bun with French Fries and Coffee, you have the option of grilled or fried chicken I chose the grilled and it was so very good it was very juicy and very tender, it fell apart every time I bit into it was soon very good and the fries were soon crispy I am too picky and these were done perfectly. My husband tried the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich and he really liked it, he said the flavor was dead on he didn't have to add any seasonings to it shocked me he adds salt and pepper to EVERYTHING!! He asked for extra pickles and ate all of them he said their pickles were extremely good and definitely filly he said I should try them next time we go he also had the French Fries and liked them as much as I did. I will say we enjoyed our lunch as much as both our other two visits, thank you for doing such a great job. We will be back!!

First thing is that there were not a whole lot of options on Christmas day for restaurants in Springfield. We gave Springfield Family restaurant a try due to the reviews and the parking lot was full. I am assuming that most people were from out of town like we were or just did not have family to spend the day with. There were people of all ages in there this day. Mostly older folks, but there were a few families with children. We were seated and greated promptly. Our waitress was a little rough around the edges, however she was nice. Our food came out in a timely manner due to how busy the place was. We never ran out of beverages and the place was turning tables quickly. THe food however was less than mediocre. My salad was ok but nothing I would go back for, the omelet breakfast that my boyfriend got was greasy and not appetizing he said. The food filled us up good enough for the day, however we will not be going back to this establishment. Seems like this would be a place for people to go after the bar. I noticed that it could also use a deep clean as there was grease and dust on things.

We knew this was a serious diner when we saw the pies in the cooler as we walked in the restaurant. The food was amazing and the service excellent! So good in fact we had to go back the next day! Both times for breakfast. The first day I had avocado toast plate that included fruit, two eggs and cinnamon toast. Second day I had the Mexican omelet. Homemade pico was soooo good!

Server: i have no idea her name. She never said it. Impression: cozy little diner. All the staff is wearing a mask. Which is nice . The patrons are also wearing their mask, most until their food gets to them. We were quickly seated, it took a while for the server to come to the table. But, I think she's either by herself or she's one of two. I couldn't tell. Food: I had the patty melt. It was pretty good. My only gripe would be there was way too much butter on the rye toast. The fries are never ending. But what came with the patty melt was more than enough. The chicken tenders were very good. Very tender and very obviously house breaded. Which was a good thing. The zucchini was cut differently than most places. The breading was quite good as was the ranch dressing that came with the enormous portion. Overall: not bad at all. Military: yes with id.

Meat lovers skillet. A good meal for sure.

I had breakfast for lunch. The food was good, service was friendly, it is was clean and comfortable. My only "complaint" is some regulars that were allowed to be loud and obnoxious. I found it annoying, but others may find it charming. I will try again. It has a fairly large menu of offerings.

Very friendly and efficient. Food was better than average with larger than average portions. I would return. Appeared clean.

I don't think their food is all that great. Especially there pricing! They are a little on the pricey side.

Heck, she even had Brad Pitt's dad help with wallpapering! The place, obviously, is not a chain hotel and if you are expecting things to be like a chain hotel, you might not be happy here. But if you are reading the reviews you probably already know this. We stayed on a Friday night, so we were there for the weekend breakfast, which I enjoyed. We had not heard ANY sounds from other guests at any point during the night, so were surprised that other people were there at breakfast. A guest at the other table said to us that he was surprised to see anyone else was here as they had not heard us either! It turns out that their room was very close to ours; and there were guests in other rooms as well! Wish all hotels were that quiet! Because of the historic nature of the building, it seems it might be inaccessible to people with mobility issues. Our room (the Chapel suite) was pink and frilly and not really my style of decor - but it's not like I'm moving in! It was definitely a change from usual hotel decor, which is never to my style either! It's a pretty large place and is not as cozy as a small B&B. But it's very reasonably priced compared to those. Beds were quite comfortable, more so than most hotels in my experience. We had reserved 2 nights, but had to cut our vacation short due to weather predictions on the route home. They were completely understanding and didn't charge us for the cancellation of the next night. Will definitely stay here again!

A very cozy and unique place for a reasonable price! The breakfast was also great! I would stay…read moreagain!

Started off with the orange zest caramel latte and it was great: noticeable orange flavor, not overwhelmingly sweet, and served hot in a big campfire-style mug. We split the "super basic brekky" (biscuit, 2 fried eggs, 2 sausage patties, and a side of dressed greens) and the "bean gurlie" hashbrown bowl (hashbrown casserole, fried eggs, beans, onions, peppers, cheese. Also came with a side of dressed greens). Portions were filling and everything was DELICIOUS. The biscuit was our favorite part of the meal (tall, fluffy, amazing), but the sausage and the hashbrown casserole were close contenders. I'm not a huge greens person at breakfast, but whatever they dress them with was super tasty and I loved it. Decor gives thrifted grandma vibes in the most fun and curated way. Staff was very efficient and kind. We'll absolutely be back!
