We have gone once. Food was so sub par. My sandwich The vegan melt was disgustingly cold. And for a 12 dollar sandwich. I mean come on. How is a sandwich 12 dollars. Absolutely ridiculous. SENSITIVE DIETS BEWARE DOORDASH ORDERING BEWARE I ordered a 'VEGAN MELT' sandwich for delivery through DoorDash and I received the 'Father Shlinck' sandwich instead. As you can see in the picture it's full of MEAT as is pictured. I contacted Druff's immediately after receiving the sandwich and was told to contact DoorDash. I contacted DoorDash which stated that Druff's stated it was the correct sandwich. The receipt pictured states a vegan melt but is not what I received. This resulted in me not being able to each lunch or receive a refund for the incorrect food as is pictured. If I ate the meat sandwich I could've been hospitalized. In the end, after attempts to receive even a partial refund and being denied I disputed the charge which resulted in my DoorDash account being shut down. I also did not receive my DoorDash credits that I used back. I lost money and my DoorDash account as a result of this. The situation was handled very unprofessionally by both parties. Still I was eager to try to vegan melt and I went in person the following week for a pickup order. I stood for several minutes at the front door and did not receive a greeting. In the end the food was not worth all that I went through. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. It's already so challenging to eat with dietary restrictions. *sigh* read more

Their house tomato soup was delicious as well. The smallest detail ended up being my favorite part.. the homemade pickle! Hands down the best pickle I've ever had. The only downside, we waited for quite a while before we got menus or really even addressed by anyone. Then it took a while after that to get our drink orders. Overall service just seemed pretty slow. However, the food made up for it in every way! I would give them the benefit of the doubt and say maybe we just came in after a big rush. The owner Kenny makes each and every customer feel welcome because he's not pretentious although he is the owner. He has a special knack for his home style dishes. The food he prepares makes you want to savor every bite and when you're down to the end of the bowl you don't want the experience to stop. He has a big heart and sets the bar very high which is employees follow his lead. If you're in the Springfield area do yourself a favor and have a meal at Druffs you don't know what you are missing. We didn't get his name, but the guy working the counter was friendly and talked to us a little bit. He helped me choose a breakfast sandwich. I had the Cheddar Tony - pimento (made in house), cheddar, egg, and bacon on toasted sourdough. It was cooked perfectly and it was very tasty! My husband had a bowl, the Downward Spiral. We had an unexpectedly lackluster experience at Druff's. As the top rated restaurant on Yelp, we had somewhat high expectations that simply weren't met. Don't get me wrong, if you are in the mood for a fancy grilled cheese and tomato soup on a cold winters day, this is probably the place to go. BUT - if you are looking for a good sandwich/deli shop, I would skip this. (Note: this is all in reference to their lunch items, not breakfast) The menu is quite small and only two of the sandwiches had meat on them. My sandwich (the Mitch Martin) had two thin slices of extremely overly toasted deli turkey on it. The "chips" are just plain Ruffles, I was expecting a nice kettle chip, so these were also disappointing. The other member of my party ordered the special of the day sandwich - which was basically a bacon, egg, and cheese - and he claimed Waffle House had a better version of this same sandwich. This is a good little place to stop for lunch (I haven't been there for dinner). They serve sandwiches, but they are creative and quite involved! I had the Action Parmesan sandwich, which was grilled chicken immersed in tomato basil sauce and mozzarella and provolone. The bread was Parmesan-crusted sourdough. Very nice, but very messy, too. I got tomato soup as my side dish, which was wonderful to dip the sandwich into. The service was very good. There wasn't much in the ambiance of the restaurant, though. We also ordered two of the meat-free grilled cheeses (pimento cheese and the grilled cheese with basil), along with two tomato soups. Ordered take out a Bleu Blazer s bland with no evidence of Frank's red hot and Sullipants missing the bbq sauce....so it tasted like a greesy melt. I love this place! It is so cute and small but not too small. Everything about it is perfect, and I love the art on the walls. The windows are my favorite, they are huge and allow for great lighting. The owner, Vance I believe, is super friendly. You can tell he has put a lot of work into this restaurant and it shows. The menu is not large but I think there's something for everyone. They also have a few craft beers and offer a small menu of cocktails as well. Every time I've come in, the sandwiches are perfect and the soup is great. They always have their tomato soup and M-F they have another soup too, and it's usually different. They also sometimes have a special sandwich not on the menu. They also offer dessert from Prairie Pie which is my absolute favorite pie ever. If I had 1 suggestion, it would be to offer a vegan grilled cheese.
