Absolutely disgusting. I was drinking a Dr Pepper and found a live organism in my drink. When I showed the waiter instead of trying to take it off my bill or apologizing, he just got me another Dr Pepper. it makes me worry about their cleaning protocols definitely will not be back

This has been a fav place for weekend breakfasts, happy hour and tasty Bloody Mary's. Last night I tried their blackened chicken pasta and my friend had the fish and chips! We loved both dishes! Tasty treats and great service!

Garlic and Herb Wings

Went here expecting normal bar food but OH MY the wings were beyond phenomenal, my drink was so good and service was perfect! My server Pauly was very welcoming and friendly and was personable. Definitely going to be a normal place for me. This is a above and beyond service kind of place based on this one visit.

Great food and service. I am a vegetarian and the vegetarian sandwich is delightful. My family loves the brisket salad.

Food was good. Service was slow, but it was a Sunday night. It is an old restaurant vibe, but was enjoyable. The wings were good.

Beer, wings, and Missouri sports. Really all you need to know. Twice Fried is the way to on your wings if you like extra crunch.

Best wings in town. It's hard for me to order anything but their twice fried Cajun wings.

Best wings in Springfield, no doubt!! Boneyard flavor is fantastic. A little pricy, good drink deals. Absolutely recommend!

Everytime I visit Springfield I go here for wings...best in the city. Maybe in the entire state.

Sometimes you just need a salad. I especially needed a salad today because I have recently consumed…read more528 Christmas cookies ( slight exaggeration) and really think some greens will keep me from having to shop for an entirely new wardrobe. Enter The Grotto west coast food. Since I lived on the west coast for 40 years I thought it was appropriate that I come to judge the West coast authenticity. This place is awesome. My friend had a Baja bowl that looked and smelled divine and I had the steak Gorgonzola salad, the meat portion was huge and the candied pecans were delicious. I might even bring my super judgmental west coast rude family here since I think even they would be pleased at how delicious the food was. We sat in a comfy booth and loved every bite of our meal, the balsamic vinaigrette was the perfect complement to the savory steak and sweet pecans. I can't wait to go back to the grotto

After leaving to head back home, when I think of this meal I think "eh, it was alright". I chose…read morethe spicy chicken sandwich and it was not spicy at all. I got the caesar salad on the side and that was actually better than the sandwich, I should have gotten that as my meal instead of the side, it was MUCH better than the sandwich. Fiancé picked the burger and he was pleased with it, he said he would come back for it, so maybe just don't get the chicken sandwich. Everyone working at this spot was very nice and super friendly! The location itself was very clean and staff were going through table by table and cleaning everything (I was shocked because it was already very clean).

The restaurant has a very cozy intimate setting, if you're lucky and go on a busy day they might have live music playing aswell! LOUD AF on a Tuesday night with incredibly slow service…read more I like to eat in local places while we're on the road. Read about this place being historic with a beautiful bar and lovely tin ceiling. And that is all true. Walked in and could not believe how loud the single singer with an acoustic guitar was. There was a sound engineer, working a board, so he must've thought that level was OK. But you could not have a conversation at all. I was wishing for earplugs. When we first stepped in, I considered just looking at the carved mahogany bar and going somewhere else. But, we figured it should be fast and we could endure the cacophony for a short time. We were so wrong about it being fast. There was only one wait staff working that night, and she was also behind the bar. When she finally moseys over to us, she admitted she had forgotten all about us. She then took our drink order, and the drinks came quickly. But then she literally never came back to take a food order. Watched her go to all the other tables, watched her clean off the bar, watched her answer a phone call for a takeout order, and then I finally went up to the bar and asked her if we could put in a food order. Once the food was ordered it came out quickly. My husband's smashburger and candied pecan salad were both really delicious. I am a sucker for a local food item whenever I see it on the menu, and I made the mistake of ordering the cashew chicken poutine. The cashew sauce had zero flavor and was just overly salty. The chicken was fried very tough. At least the cheese curds were good. But I barely ate any of it. Nothing but regret about this choice.
