My husband and I LOVE The Sub Shop! They really do have the best sandwiches. But beware, they only take cash. And they are only open through lunch. So get there before two, and be prepared to wait a min in line. People love this place! The sub shop is a great little local spot you can grab a fresh sub at a good price. Only open for a few hours a day it seems the best time to hit here is 11am or 2pm. They still get sandwiches out pretty quickly so there's not too much of a wait. When you are in the mood for a sandwich I definitely recommend hitting this local spot. Everyone said the customer service was great, so I was surprised when the young guy at the counter taking orders greeted each customer with "What's up?" and "Sup?" instead of the standard "May I take your order?" or "What can we get started for you?" Not the end of the world, but it gets worse. When people placed their orders, he literally argued with or made snarky comments to each person. Weird! Someone ordered a sandwich with lettuce and onion, and he said "Good, because that's the way it comes." Another person ordered a sandwich with items removed, and he said "Did you want a sandwich?" I saw this place on the news and read the reviews on here. What a great locally owned place to eat. I'm an airplane pilot so I had to try the "Skinny Pilot sub. Turkey, veggies, pepperoni and some kind of sauce. I will definitely come back before visiting any chain sub place. The sub was delicious, fresh bread and the potato salad was good as well. First time customer! Visiting from out of town and saw the great reviews. It was raining today and people were lined up around the building to get in. Spoke with others in line and they said the place is great and worth the wait. We were told this location had been open since 1969. The space inside is small and only a few people can stand inside to order. The staff is very friendly and fast. We really enjoyed our food! The bread is so soft and fresh. I went to The Sub Shop on my lunch break because it is very close to where I work, and I had heard great things about them. I ordered a Big Beef with no mayo and no bread. Pretty simple, right? The man behind the counter gave me a strange look. I told him if they needed to use the bread to hold everything together, that was fine, I could just take it off. He suggested I order a salad. I told him the sandwich would be fine, with or without bread, whatever was easiest. Again, he suggested I get a salad, this time specifying the chef salad. I don't like ham, and the chef salad was not even slightly close to what I ordered. I repeated that they could assemble the sandwich with bread to hold it together if they needed to. He turned to the girl behind the counter and told her what I wanted. On my way out the door, for the third time, he said "I would suggest a salad next time MA'AM" Had I realized what a major impact my no bread request had on their lives, I would have gone somewhere else. Most places are more than willing to accommodate me asking for no bread. I did not realize it was that much of an inconvenience for them. When I got back to my office, I had nothing but meat and cheese. Nothing. I totally wasted $4.50 on virtually nothing. I can assure you, this was the quickest way to get rid of a customer, if that's what you were going for. Good job. read more

Hands down this is the best sub shop I have ever been in. Anywhere. It is cash only so know that before going. The subs are always fresh, perfectly packaged, and are made quickly. If you or your friends are not a fan of subs they also do salads. They also have cookies which are first rate... They also have a wide variety of subs which are also a bit more creative (and delicious!) than most sub shops.
