Pork Tenderloin sandwich was thick, juicy, tender and flavorful served on a split top bun with lettuce and tomatoes. The Ruben was a nice size, enough to share with equal amount of corn beef to the sauerkraut, and with the thousand on the side so as not to make the sandwich so soggy. The green beans were good and fresh but lacked salt. Prices are moderate and we had a excellent server even though it was lunch time. read more

Service was okay, I wasn't asked for a coffee refill, not once ???? Other than that, the place is great, great food !!!!!!

Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted with a heavy grease/smoke smell from the kitchen venting into the eating area. The dining area is very "busy" with decorations. Our waitress was really good! She got our orders immediately and brought our food very quickly. I'd say we had our orders in less than 15 minutes after arriving. That being said....the reason we got our food quickly was probably because most of it was pre-made. The biscuits were dry and the gravy was from a packet. Not a lot of flavor. Hashbrowns were extra crispy as ordered. Sausage patty....uhm...definitely not hand pattied. Not much flavor and a weird rubbery consistency. As much as I love to support local...I think we'll choose elsewhere next time. read more

This is the place that all the locals go. Great breakfast and the waitress was more than willing to change it up for me. The omelette was delicious and the coffee plentiful and hot! Sands has hosted our family reunion three times in the past six years. Their food is always a hit and requested as our catered Sunday dinner place when we host in Ozark. This place is great! Cash only and delicious! We stopped in on a Saturday morning. They were very busy. We sat at the counter. We ordered the loaded hash browns, a half-order if biscuits and gravy, and the blueberry pancakes. Everything was very good. I especially loved the blueberry pancakes and loaded hash browns. The service was great. A little slow but that is to be expected at a busy place! And really fun you are in such a hurry and you can't talk to the people you are with and enjoy a little conversation and coffee...why even eat breakfast out? Old time cafe with kind and energetic workers. My dad eats here everyday! I join him sometimes and it is such a casual happy place. The food is yummy! Try the loaded hash browns or golden fried chicken tenders. Specialty sandwiches too. Or a simple high- stack egg salad, or crab salad sandwich that is better than you remember. Rubens etc. Breakfast served anytime. The eggs are perfect to order and bacon is thick and great. Feels like a family sit down meal and relaxing. You could get fancier tables and such elsewhere but Sands make up for it in a comfortable atmosphere and food and service that keeps you coming back. read more

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Best cafe in the Ozarks! Highly recommend the Eggs Benedict. Their Gyro's and meatloaf are destination worthy. The only downside to Sand's is they are cash only. Which is probably a good thing, if they took credit cards, I would probably eat there everyday. read more

This is a cute breakfast and lunch place. We stopped by for breakfast and it was fairly busy but we did not have to wait long for a waitress to come by and take our drink orders. The waitress was friendly and could tell that there are regulars at the cafe by the conversations she was having with them. We got the biscuits and gravy, eggs, hash browns and bacon. I have been eating here since before I can even remember. This hole in the wall breakfast diner is the best in Ozark, not to mention the cheapest! This is the place in town where you see old men come in the morning to sit and drink coffee while they talk about politics or world events. It is a very hometown experience for me at least. They have fantastic breakfast food and most of it is priced ala carte so you can get whatever you want at a reasonable price. The wait staff is very on the ball and accommodating. I give this place 4 stars for two reasons, number one, is one of my biggest pet peeves, THIS PLACE IS CASH ONLY, so just be warned. Number two, I wish this place was open more than it is, I think they would have quite the demand for dinner on this side of town since nothing else is open, just a thought! Overall I love this place though and it will always be a part of my hometown memories. read more

I've been here a couple times for breakfast, and it was quite tasty. The wonderful thing was their prices! Generous amounts for a cheap price. You have to get up early because I believe they close at 2 or so. Maybe earlier. It was kind of hard for me to find the first time, but worth it. (It's in a strip mall type of building.) read more
