Was expecting it to be super busy (did seem rather busy) and was worried about a long wait- but we were seated immediately and brought drinks fast! Had breakfast here today. Staff was nice Ana attentive. The place has an ambiance that's nice enough. But the food...very lackluster for what we had. Sausage gravy: fairly lousy taste. Potatoes: they look better than they taste. A very dry texture. And not much of a poato-ee taste at all. Not sure what pre-fab stuff this is they're using - but not good. Burrito: This was kinda ok, but not too flavorful...and just kinda "ehhhh". I did like the poblano pepper taste in the burrito. But I didn't have too much in the burrito. Always a great brunch spot. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Service was great! The only thing that was a downside was during our meal, a manager came up and yelled at a host in front of everyone and I found it to be really inappropriate to do that in front of the customers. Maybe it was just a bad morning for the guy but they should be a little more cautious of how the deal with things like that as it gives a bad impression to customers. Stopped in for a Friday evening meal - dining room was pretty quiet. Waitress was quick to get our orders and offer recommendations to us. My husband ordered the poutine and subbed mashed potatoes- he shared a bit and it was delicious. Perfectly seasoned and a comfort meal for the cold weather. The waitress helped me choose the steak sandwich and it did not disappoint. The steak was tender and the horseradish sauce added a nice kick. We ended the meal with a brownie that included a scoop of vanilla ice cream and salted caramel sauce. I left miserable because I ate way too much but we will be back again!! read more

First visit Thursday ("Happy Hour All-day" day), typical office park restaurant setting, 20-some menu offerings/a few quite interesting; server helpful, prompt, did all the right things; drinks were very affordable w/ltd discounted offerings; Salmon Hash best choice (flavorful, well blended), Chicken Fried Chicken was moist/lightly breaded, mashed tates moist and creamy, sautéed green beans were as expected; Meatloaf was std flavor but cabbage & mashed potatoes combo is an acquired taste; Chicken & dumplings were 2nd best with ample portions. Have gone twice for breakfast- always a sucker for eggs Benedict and like that you can get 1/2 instead of whole. Potatoes are crispy. Have always gone after 10:30 and not a long wait for a busy spot with the Farmers Market there. Would appreciate some of the young girls with longer skirts on- more like a sports bar dress code for some for a family restaurant scene. But that is just my only negative opinion. read more

We were a party of 5 for brunch and it was amazing! I ordered the Protein Bowl and I absolutely loved it. I would have never thought to put these flavors together. Garlic hummus, roasted squash, Terrell Creek Farm (my favorite) fresh goats cheese, avocado, soft boiled egg, crispy chickpeas...yes please! I added bacon and an extra egg. Peep the menu photo I took, I know I'm missing some savory ingredients. :) I'm already planning my return trip for this breakfast! LOL! My son ordered the B&G with over easy eggs and he said it was very good. His girlfriend ordered the breakfast burrito and took half home because it was so big. My SIL ordered the Chicken & Waffles and it looked so delicious. She didn't share, haha! Owned by Farmers Gastropub folks, they do not miss a thing. Came here for lunch with a friend mid week. There aren't a lot of lunch entrees, so I opted for a breakfast burrito. It was really good! I probably wouldn't come back during the week for lunch since there's not a lot of options, but I'll definitely come back on a weekend for breakfast. read more

The service was good! We ordered the breakfast quesadilla and the cinnamon roll and both were only ok. The quesadilla could have used more seasoning (the main flavor was smokiness from the meat) and the cinnamon roll was pretty dense and dry (they did load it up with a lot of sauce on top which tasted mostly of cream cheese). The prices are a bit high for what you're getting. Can't wait to try The Aviary next door! read more

My wife and I went with some friends for brunch on a Saturday before the farmers market. I had the summer berry parfait and a couple of biscuits with mushroom gravy. Everything was super tasty, the portion sizes were great, and price was a good amount for two people for brunch. Service was great as they were attentive and then when they brought the check we realized we had forgotten to mention that we were splitting the check and they were super nice about getting it fixed. Food was good for the standard breakfast items! My mushroom biscuit and gravy entree was interesting but the other food was good!! The disappointment- the restaurant wasn't full on a Sunday morning and they went to sit us at as hightop table. My mom recovering from several health issues, has joint issues asked if we could sit at a standard table. The hostess immediately said no those are for reservations only. Then a waitress (thankfully) swooped in and said of course and helped make the accommodation. We sat down, ordered our drinks, ordered our food- then a man (who acted like he was a manager, and clearly stressed out) came over to our table and proceeded to reprimand us for switching tables and we were shocked. We went to explain that a nice waitress helped us and he said oh you didn't move on your own and made a comment to the fact he would be "talking" to that waitress. 1. They don't have a website for reservations 2. You can join the waitlist online though the Google listing, which we did! So if the standard tables are for reservations only, they need to make it clear to their customers that are finding them through Google/social media/yelp HOW to make reservations and that they accept reservations. Typically a restaurant that will take reservations will allow you to make one online or at least mention, "call for reservations." I hope they make it clear how to make reservations for customers! This is my new go to restaurant for breakfast/lunch menu.. the avocado toast was delicious... the liver and onions great, biscuits and chicken yummy, eggs Benedict was good( sauce was weaker than I am use to but tasty), and ham and eggs very good... like the atmosphere here and servers were very good and friendly... all clean including bathroom... This place was a miss for us. Not sure what happened, especially with all the great reviews. I knew it was brunch but the only options for someone who really didnt want breakfast were tenders, a salad, or a hummus protein bowl. So i opted for avocado toast. The mixed greens that came with the avocado toast were just that... greens. If it was supposed to be dressed, someone forgot that step. The toasted bread was so hard I could not cut it with a knife and fork. Toppings kept going everywhere. I could barely chew the toast at all when I tried (unsuccessfully to pick it up to eat it. The pickled onions with the chili crisp was not a good match for me. The muffin for the sausage and egg buiscuit looked more like a thick bun and it the ratio of bread to protein was way off. I believe my friend took 2 bites and didn't want to take it home. She said it ate more like a burger. Husband had biscuits and gray and he said they were "off." The consistency was watery and when I tasted it I didnt care for the flavor that the sausage imparted. It was very bitter. The chicken bowl special my son ordered seemed to be the only satisfactory dish at the table. But the portion was so large he took 2/3 home and there is no way it will reheat without becoming a glommy mess. Doubt we will return. $100 spent with 3 out of 4 subpar dishes. Made a sandwich when I got home. I was a little surprised the server didn't observe that we barely touched our meals and inquire about helping to find something more accommodating. read more

Well, the previous reviews got me concerned. This new brunch place in a familiar location is a great addition to this part of town. The menu has some interesting choices. I am not an expert on either biscuits or gravy, but the burrito, avocado toast, chicken on a biscuit & Eggs Benedict made everyone in our group smile. Service was great. Walking in around 10:30 am today during the holiday week, there many tables available with about a dozen patrons in the spacious, visually open dining area. By the time we left, it was nearly full...all but the adjacent sizeable patio area due to the chilly weather. The waitress was super efficient though not particularly effusive which was appreciated for our conversational purposes. When she handed us the smallish menu, I was immediately apprehensive. But after browsing, there were plenty of traditional dishes nestled within the more eclectic items. Our order was taken promptly and delivered reasonably. My son ordered the Breakfast Burrito which was good-sized but wolfed down quickly. My DIL ordered the Avocado Toast which she enthusiastically devoured while making accompanying, sporadic "mmmm" sounds. I had the Wife's Hash which had two chipotle eggs atop the generous helping of the chunky dish. I got about a third down before I was sated and passed the rest to my son for the topper to his burrito, which he similarly and eagerly inhaled. JWs was deemed a success, a nice discovery for us and a very pleasant addition to our morning. Though not the easiest to spot from the road or access off the circle at Republic Road & Glenstone, it was well worth the effort.
