    Avocado toast

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a very cute place for a nice breakfast![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were lucky that when we got there we had no wait, but by the time we were leaving it seems like people had wait times of about 30 min around 10:30am. This place is most known for their crepes. We tried the steak and egg crepe, which I found a little too hearty for breakfast. I would recommend more for a lunchtime option. It was still tasty! But could use maybe a vegetable in it. We also tried the funky money crepes which were a sweet contrast!! Certainly very sweet but if you like Nutella, this is for you! We also tried the Crepe Loraine which was the most balanced crepe we tried. A nice mix of protein and veggie. And finally we tried the avocado toast which was our favorite menu item of the morning. It was delicious and piled high with avocado, refreshing way to start the morning! For sides we tried the pomme frites, cheesy bacon grits, and Brussels sprouts. All were delicious. I don't event like Brussels sprouts but these were very good. I also got a lavender latte which was lovely! The presentation was really nice for all of the dishes. Overall we really enjoyed our morning here

Hosts was terrible the wait list said our table was ready and then we asked them if our table was ready and they said it was another 40 mins after waiting 30 mins in the first place. The waitress was really quiet but did a decent job, our food came out maybe 20ish min after ordering. But our coffee:drinks took a while to get out after we had order them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And it wasn't super pack in house....[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall not impressed,

I've been here quite a few times since moving to Springfield and it has never dissapointed!! Such a good variety of sweet and savory crepes, sandwiches and more! [[HIGHLIGHT]]On top of that, the decorations on the inside make for an "upscale" and cozy vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Of note, I've gotten to try: Drinks: Cafe bon bob, lavender latte Entrees: Breakfast Smashburger with Tomato Bisque soup, Steak and Eggs Crepe, Shrimp Scampi Crepes Dessert: Funky Monkey Sweet crepe with all 3 fruit Both of the drinks I tried were delicious, though if I had to choose between the two of them, I'd recommend the Cafe BonBon In terms of entrees, the Breakfast Smashburger was by far my favorite!! So many different flavors that blend well together. And if you're worried about the Sriracha aioli being too spicy, I can assure you that it isn't! I'm a wimp with spice and this wasn't spicy at all for me, it was more of an added flavor. The steak and eggs crepes was decent; however I wouldn't personally recommend the Shrimp Scampi crepes. Finally, it's hard to go wrong with the funky monkey crepes if you're looking for something sweet! A must visit Breakfast spot for any newcomers to Springfield!

I stopped in for a quick bite after visiting a neighboring service provider. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Walking in, the space felt cozy yet not claustrophobic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were small tables with diners spread about and a medium sized party taking place in a side room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was dining alone and the hostess seated me at a table for two on the perimeter with a window seat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was a lovely fall afternoon. I was greeted quickly and made to feel very welcome as if I had been there before. I ordered a lovely fall salad and a cranberry & apple mimosa (I had my choice of juices) which was the special drink of the day. Food was exactly what I hoped and delivered without much waiting. My server checked on my just enough to know she was readily available but not so much that I felt rushed. Will definitely dine here again!

Plenty of parking. Great service. Lots of options. Started with the lavender latte. Great flavor. Not too heavy on the lavender. Would get it again. Next was the yelp pomme frites. They came with a side of garli aioli. Fries were great! Aioli was ok. Ketchup would've been nice. Crepes are a focus, got the farmers crepe with sausage and scrambled eggs. Was surprised there was powdered sugar in the savory crepe but it worked. Lots of side options. Caesar salad was fresh and tasty. Definitely recommend for a unique breakfast/brunch!

Shrimp and Grits ($14) - needs more blackened seasoning

The service was great, and the mocha was nice enough (architect coffee is better). But the shrimp and grits really lacked flavor. There needed more blackened seasoning. I probably should've gotten the crepes, which they are better known for. I think if you go here, you are better off ordering a French specialty, not soul food. Overall, it was a lovely little outdoor meal with excellent presentation. By the time I was done, about twenty flies were checking out the plate. They were the most aggressive flies I've ever encountered on a patio. Even putting the coffee on my lap wasn't enough to deter them...

    Steak and egg crepe

We were seated right away, Service as nice, we had the Steak and egg, and the shrimp scampi crepes both had good flavor just served lukewarm. I had a latte that was in flavor it was hot.

Heck, she even had Brad Pitt's dad help with wallpapering! The place, obviously, is not a chain hotel and if you are expecting things to be like a chain hotel, you might not be happy here. But if you are reading the reviews you probably already know this. We stayed on a Friday night, so we were there for the weekend breakfast, which I enjoyed. We had not heard ANY sounds from other guests at any point during the night, so were surprised that other people were there at breakfast. A guest at the other table said to us that he was surprised to see anyone else was here as they had not heard us either! It turns out that their room was very close to ours; and there were guests in other rooms as well! Wish all hotels were that quiet! Because of the historic nature of the building, it seems it might be inaccessible to people with mobility issues. Our room (the Chapel suite) was pink and frilly and not really my style of decor - but it's not like I'm moving in! It was definitely a change from usual hotel decor, which is never to my style either! It's a pretty large place and is not as cozy as a small B&B. But it's very reasonably priced compared to those. Beds were quite comfortable, more so than most hotels in my experience. We had reserved 2 nights, but had to cut our vacation short due to weather predictions on the route home. They were completely understanding and didn't charge us for the cancellation of the next night. Will definitely stay here again!

A very cozy and unique place for a reasonable price! The breakfast was also great! I would stay…read moreagain!

Started off with the orange zest caramel latte and it was great: noticeable orange flavor, not overwhelmingly sweet, and served hot in a big campfire-style mug. We split the "super basic brekky" (biscuit, 2 fried eggs, 2 sausage patties, and a side of dressed greens) and the "bean gurlie" hashbrown bowl (hashbrown casserole, fried eggs, beans, onions, peppers, cheese. Also came with a side of dressed greens). Portions were filling and everything was DELICIOUS. The biscuit was our favorite part of the meal (tall, fluffy, amazing), but the sausage and the hashbrown casserole were close contenders. I'm not a huge greens person at breakfast, but whatever they dress them with was super tasty and I loved it. Decor gives thrifted grandma vibes in the most fun and curated way. Staff was very efficient and kind. We'll absolutely be back!
