I've been here a few time and the food combinations are slightly different for me. When it comes to breakfast I'm very basic, eggs, hashbrowns, bacon or sausage and cheese, so I found them to be slightly intimidating. I did branch out and try several different meals. I did enjoy them. The food is good. Sometimes the biscuits are a little hard, but that's not a deal breaker for me. You want to get there early because there is usually a wait. I wouldn't recommend large groups either. The staff is very polite and everything is made fresh

The ambiance is unprecedented, it's warm, inviting and unique. The folks working there care about your experience and the food is amazing especially if you are a vegetarian - it's hard to have a favorite but I my breaky.

Sleepy Opossum serves, hands down, the best restaurant breakfast I've ever had. Everything on the plate tasted fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and full of flavor--the kind of food that makes you slow down and really enjoy the moment. Some have mentioned the service can be on the leisurely side, but to me, that's part of what makes this place special. It's not a rushed, grab-and-go kind of spot--it's a place where you can actually relax, sip your coffee, and soak up the cozy atmosphere while waiting for food that's clearly made with care. If you're looking for the perfect combination of incredible breakfast and a laid-back vibe, Sleepy Opossum is it. I'll definitely be back.

Wow, where do I begin with what I can only describe was a perfect breakfast and great way to kick off a fun day of exploring Springfield... All of the food was totally on point. The service was super friendly. I love the aesthetic, including the decor, the mismatch tables, the bright interior, the wallpaper in the hallway, the art on the walls, and even the adorable Salt and pepper shakers. Can I come back ASAP? If this restaurant was in the town I lived I would come here all the time.

    Was so good!

So, found this place by accident but will definitely be coming back! 8 have nothing but good things to say about this beautiful little place. Service, clean, amazing food and the restaurant is filled with happy, content patrons! We had the Smothered hash brown bowl, and it was better than we even expected. Anything that you order here is going to be fresh and amazing! I would have taken a picture of the food, but we devoured it immediately.

Tried out the new location. I asked the server to surprise me. I was not disappointed! Whatever it was; it was DELICIOUS!!! Servers are so nice! Cool ambience!! Delicious food!!

Very cute cafe. Love the tables and decor, there was a lot of thought put into this cafe. The food tastes wonderful, some of the best biscuits and gravy I have had. My husband had the burrito and when he finally came up for air from eating he managed to say, "this is wonderful" and quickly resumed. The service was a little slow, however this restaurant has only been open for a week. We will definitely be coming back. Side note, the lattes are a must.

This was the sweetest & coziest little breakfast spot! I was happily surprised to find a place like this with delicious dishes too, in Springfield. Not a hidden gem though, the place was busy busy!

Found this place on Google but had a hard time figuring out where it really was. It is in the same building as The Royal music hall. I was not impressed with the service or the food, but I did like the atmosphere. You walk up to the counter to order. They were out of quiche so I ordered Ala carte. When our food came out we had to remind the waitress that we hadn't received our coffees. Our food was decent but seemed to take a long time to get it. I liked being able to sit out on the patio and enjoying the nice weather.

The Boston Creme pie was scrumptious! with a dark chocolate generously drizzled on top. The potato salad was the best I've ever tasted. The amazing decorations including the multitude of chandeliers & brilliant color schemes must be seen to be believed. Negative: Server would disappear for 15 or 20 minutes after bringing water; then disappear for another 15 minutes after bringing coffee; ditto for serving the meal which arrived one hour & 15 minutes after we sat down at our table at 11 am; same for dessert--it took 20 minutes after we finished the main course for the server to return & bring our checks. We only had six people in our own fabulous pink room. There were only 5 or 6 people out front so why did it take 3 hours to be served our lunch & to leave from the time we arrived at 11 am & didn't get to leave until 1:30 pm. Three hours to get our meal & eat was an incredibly long period of time. It was freezing in there--the room temperature was zero.

Echelon Coffee is a really solid coffee spot that clearly takes what they do seriously…read more The coffee is excellent, and if you go on the weekend, the biscuits and gravy are absolutely worth it. It feels like there's a lot of care behind everything they serve. It also has that feel of a well-run, possibly family-driven operation -- like everyone involved knows their role and executes it well. The vibe is good, the space is inviting, and it's just an enjoyable place to spend some time. Pricing is a bit on the higher side -- more of a "treat yourself" stop than an everyday routine -- but the quality backs it up. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you appreciate good coffee.

Service is okay usually, but I came through the drive through around 7 AM on Friday, 2/6 and was very disappointed. I was the only vehicle in the drive through from start to finish. I ordered the açaí bowl, and pulled to the window as directed. I waited a good 7-8 minutes, then the employee opened the window with the card reader and gave me the total. No "hi, hello, good morning," just the total. I waited a few more minutes and then the same employee opened the window and handed out my food without a word. I thanked him for the food and he just closed the window. The customer service was completely absent from the transaction. I don't expect a full conversation, but a simple greeting at the window or "you're welcome" when I got my food would have been nice. I also thought the (at least) 10-minute wait for an almost $14 after tax açaí bowl was a bit much, but I usually don't mind if the food and service is adequate. Not sure if the employees were just having a rough day, but the experience was disappointing at best and at 7 AM it has the potential to set the tone for the rest of a customer's day. Note - picture is after I mixed the bowl. It looks prettier when you first get it, and is more satisfying when you walk away with a better experience.
