YUM AND YUM. We arrived right after opening and were seated immediately (but it filled up quick on a Sunday morning!!). Started off with the orange zest caramel latte and it was great: noticeable orange flavor, not overwhelmingly sweet, and served hot in a big campfire-style mug. We split the "super basic brekky" (biscuit, 2 fried eggs, 2 sausage patties, and a side of dressed greens) and the "bean gurlie" hashbrown bowl (hashbrown casserole, fried eggs, beans, onions, peppers, cheese. Also came with a side of dressed greens). Portions were filling and everything was DELICIOUS. The biscuit was our favorite part of the meal (tall, fluffy, amazing), but the sausage and the hashbrown casserole were close contenders. I'm not a huge greens person at breakfast, but whatever they dress them with was super tasty and I loved it. Decor gives thrifted grandma vibes in the most fun and curated way. Each table comes with its matching ceramic salt & pepper shaker! Super cute. You also get a linen napkin and actual silverware. Please note though, you will only need to keep your parties to 4 max as there is limited space. Their website says 6, but that would be a tight squeeze. There is Opossums decor all over. Super cute theme! Secondly, the food was amazing. They do have a seasonal menu so check out their instagram for the updated one. We had the Breakky Sandwy & the smothered hash brown bowl. YUM! The biscuit was hand made, super fluffy, with seeds on top and tasted oh-so-good. The bacon wasn't overly salted and the cheese wasn't overpowering; the perfect blend along with the jam! The hashbrown bowl was also a delight! Everything you could want. The portion sizes were perfect for the price! Last, the service was top notch. We were seated and given waters immediately. When it comes to breakfast I'm very basic, eggs, hashbrowns, bacon or sausage and cheese, so I found them to be slightly intimidating. I did branch out and try several different meals. I did enjoy them. The food is good. Sometimes the biscuits are a little hard, but that's not a deal breaker for me. You want to get there early because there is usually a wait. Very cute cafe. Love the tables and decor, there was a lot of thought put into this cafe. The food tastes wonderful, some of the best biscuits and gravy I have had. My husband had the burrito and when he finally came up for air from eating he managed to say, "this is wonderful" and quickly resumed. The service was a little slow, however this restaurant has only been open for a week. We will definitely be coming back. Side note, the lattes are a must. read more

Found this place on Google but had a hard time figuring out where it really was. It is in the same building as The Royal music hall. I was not impressed with the service or the food, but I did like the atmosphere. You walk up to the counter to order. They were out of quiche so I ordered Ala carte. When our food came out we had to remind the waitress that we hadn't received our coffees. Our food was decent but seemed to take a long time to get it. I am shocked at the behavior of our waitress. The food was fine. But when my husband went to pay the bill at the cash register, he had to ASK for his change. You don't make customers do that, they should have given him all his money without prompt, and then he would tip if he felt like it. But when he asked for his change, they asked how much he wanted back, as if they were expecting to keep some of it as a tip. When he said he wanted all of his change back, they firmly grasped it making it awkward and hard for my husband to pull the cash from her hand. He's a kind person and ended up leaving her a tip on the table even after that exchange, but we were appalled by that behavior. If that's how they treat polite customers, I'd rather not give them business. We did nothing to be treated that way. Go somewhere with respectful staff instead. read more

Online it states they close at 1, but with closing the kitchen 30 min before closing they do not serve anything after 1230. Just a hole in the wall. Little round tables, no actual table for a party of four. I ordered the potato casserole and sausage gravy and biscuit. The biscuit was a burnt on the bottom, sausage gravy was OK. Potato casserole was cold and had a taste I could not recall. My wife had a breakfast taco, the menu said it came with greens. In this part of the world I have never heard any one eating the green top of carrots. You had to get your own water out of a glass crock, in little plastic glasses, that might of held 6 ounces and no ice. I gave it one star, there was no lower rating. read more
