The best people with the best chai lattes and smoothies. This is a nonprofit company where most of the staff volunteers their time because they love the PoHo. Steve, Berna, Samson are absolutely the best staff. They love to mentor students.

A very homey environment! Love it!

Im from california and ive never walked into a place and felt right at home until i walked inside Potters House. Such friendly people. Greeted us as we walked in, told us whats good on the menu, and more! This place is such a relaxing place to be in. It is literally a house with an upstairs and a basement where anyone can just hangout and feel right at home! amazing! This place is also really clean and well decorated. Coffee - latte - tea are all great. Better than what id expect. Overall this is definitely my go to place when im in town again! GREAT JOB POTTERS HOUSE!

I had a blood orange nitro coffee and it was amazing! The building is beautiful and a great place to relax or chat with a friend for a few minutes. The group that is outside of the shop with the dogs is very strange and this is not the shops fault but I don't understand why the city of Springfield doesn't ask them to move. The square in Springfield is beautiful and people don't need to camp out in the area.

I like to think of myself as a coffee/espresso snob who knows a good cafe when I come across one. I'm from Springfield and moved away to the Bay Area, CA before ever trying Coffee Ethic. I came back home for my wedding and decided to walk here one morning instead of going to my usual spot Mudhouse cafe. So I glad I decided to because this place feels like a 1 of 1. Our trip was 5 days and we went every day and every time it did not disappoint from our initial high. We've tried the peanut miso cortado with a sparking water back, lemon espresso tonic, cherry creme brûlée latte, and blood orange nitro cold brew, askinosie mocha and I loved every one. The streamed milk was appropriate based on the drink with the steamed milk passing the spoon test and keeping its silky microfoam texture until the last sip. I also enjoy looking behind the counter to watch the process. I enjoy the process myself at home on my espresso machine and rarely do I see a cafe put in the same work (I understand commercial and household kitchens will need to do it differently based on on volume). They use a distributor and tamper to evenly prepare the espresso puck. Even though their commercial grade machines likely don't need that prep work it's feels reassuring they are taking those prophylactic measures. And the most interesting tidbit of local history in the cafe I learned is the wood they salvaged from a historic flood in 2006 they've repurposed into benches and chairs for seating. I haven't been to a cafe like this in the Bay Area and am envious I don't have this as my local cafe. This place deserves its spotlight and recognition beyond just being a great cafe for Springfield or even Missouri. My only wish is they offered croissants and pain au chocolate

It's a great place to study, if you don't need silence, or to hang out with friends. I enjoy the dim lighting and background music that seems to be a hallmark of this location. The baristas do a great job and are fast. This last time I stopped by I tried a s'mores inspired latte and overall I thought it was great. I found it to be a bit citrusy on the backend as well but it was smooth so I managed They do make an espresso concentrate for iced drinks but you can ask for hot espresso freshly made and they will accommodate you. She says it's still good but she prefers the fresh espresso and forgot to ask for it. The niece is a vegetarian so I can't speak to any menu items with meat. The margherita flat bread is some kind of good. They spread pesto on a naan flat bread, add sliced fresh mozzarella, fresh Roma tomatoes and a balsamic drizzle. Heavenly. The niece loves the hummus with naan. It was ok to me. A little sharper and more garlicky than I prefer, but still good. Did I mention that the margherita flat bread is amazing??? I'm 55. I love classic rock. The music is top tier. Staff was friendly and the place is very clean with booths, tables and high top seating.
