This is my go to lunch break coffee place and it never disappoints. The employees are always so friendly, the service is quick, and the coffee is so delicious. I wish I would've tried this place sooner! I highly recommend!

Looking for a great drive thru coffee that is local to the Springfield area? Head over to Dark Stone Coffee, located behind Hardee's just east of Glenstone on Turner Street. They have great prices, punch card rewards, and service with a smile! While they have a great menu of coffee, lattes, and teas, and non-caffeinated beverages. They are happy to take your order of flavors you like as well. They are open Monday-Saturday. https://darkstonecoffee.com/menu/

The absolute best coffee in Springfield. Top notch people, serving top notch coffee. And to top it off you get a punch card that'll have you excited for a free coffee down t. Don't sleep on this place.

A free-standing kiosk on a small parking lot, Dark Stone is coffee only. But, that focus produces wonderful coffee. And quick service: Drive up, order up, take off. This visit I enjoyed a wonderfully creamy hot mocha that was tasted like a light chocolate mousse. Just a short jaunt off I-70 if you're passing through and near a cluster of the north side hotels.

Always been my wife and I's favorite coffee in Springfield. We live out of state now but every time we visit we make sure to come here a few times!

It feels like there's a lot of care behind everything they serve. It also has that feel of a well-run, possibly family-driven operation -- like everyone involved knows their role and executes it well. The vibe is good, the space is inviting, and it's just an enjoyable place to spend some time. Pricing is a bit on the higher side -- more of a "treat yourself" stop than an everyday routine -- but the quality backs it up. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you appreciate good coffee.

Service is okay usually, but I came through the drive through around 7 AM on Friday, 2/6 and was very disappointed. I was the only vehicle in the drive through from start to finish. I ordered the açaí bowl, and pulled to the window as directed. I waited a good 7-8 minutes, then the employee opened the window with the card reader and gave me the total. No "hi, hello, good morning," just the total. I waited a few more minutes and then the same employee opened the window and handed out my food without a word. I thanked him for the food and he just closed the window. The customer service was completely absent from the transaction. I don't expect a full conversation, but a simple greeting at the window or "you're welcome" when I got my food would have been nice. I also thought the (at least) 10-minute wait for an almost $14 after tax açaí bowl was a bit much, but I usually don't mind if the food and service is adequate. Not sure if the employees were just having a rough day, but the experience was disappointing at best and at 7 AM it has the potential to set the tone for the rest of a customer's day. Note - picture is after I mixed the bowl. It looks prettier when you first get it, and is more satisfying when you walk away with a better experience.

I had a blood orange nitro coffee and it was amazing! The building is beautiful and a great place to relax or chat with a friend for a few minutes. The group that is outside of the shop with the dogs is very strange and this is not the shops fault but I don't understand why the city of Springfield doesn't ask them to move. I like to think of myself as a coffee/espresso snob who knows a good cafe when I come across one. I'm from Springfield and moved away to the Bay Area, CA before ever trying Coffee Ethic. I came back home for my wedding and decided to walk here one morning instead of going to my usual spot Mudhouse cafe. So I glad I decided to because this place feels like a 1 of 1. Our trip was 5 days and we went every day and every time it did not disappoint from our initial high. We've tried the peanut miso cortado with a sparking water back, lemon espresso tonic, cherry creme brûlée latte, and blood orange nitro cold brew, askinosie mocha and I loved every one. The streamed milk was appropriate based on the drink with the steamed milk passing the spoon test and keeping its silky microfoam texture until the last sip. I also enjoy looking behind the counter to watch the process. I enjoy the process myself at home on my espresso machine and rarely do I see a cafe put in the same work (I understand commercial and household kitchens will need to do it differently based on on volume). They use a distributor and tamper to evenly prepare the espresso puck. Even though their commercial grade machines likely don't need that prep work it's feels reassuring they are taking those prophylactic measures. And the most interesting tidbit of local history in the cafe I learned is the wood they salvaged from a historic flood in 2006 they've repurposed into benches and chairs for seating. I haven't been to a cafe like this in the Bay Area and am envious I don't have this as my local cafe. This place deserves its spotlight and recognition beyond just being a great cafe for Springfield or even Missouri. My only wish is they offered croissants and pain au chocolate
