We stoped by, based off of yelp, on our way though springfield and loved the coffee. I got a dirty chai and it was perfect not too sweet but more flavors you can distinguish from each other. The customer service was also great. They serviced us even though we couldn't drive thru because we are in a RV and were quick to spark up a friendly conversation. read more

After reading about the quality of products used my wife and I knew that we had to stop here on our way through town. It's very easy to get in and out of this location. There are 2 drive up windows on either side of the building. The barista was very polite. My wife ordered an iced Sweet Cream and I ordered a hot Newspaper(dark and white chocolate with raspberry drizzle). Both drinks were amazing and you can taste the quality. So the Doubletree hotel sent me here. At first, I had to determine if I was at the right location as the place looked like a very stylish 'cube' (for a lack of a better term), it is a drive-through. My wife and I grabbed coffee here before heading out on our Route 66 motorcycle trip. The coffee is the best we've had all all along the route! I had an iced Snickerdoodle latte and my wife had a hot Irish Cream latte with almond milk. Both drinks we're perfectly balanced with a great coffee taste with flavor that's not overpowered by sugar. Those are the four most appropriate adjectives for Dark Stone, which is a veritable godsend for those of us doomed to work on the food-and-drink desert known as Springfield's north side. The americano here is $2 even, tastes great and is sometimes the only thing that gets me through a long workday. My only complaints are that the stand can be difficult to get to due to its location, and that the lids to their cups often don't fit well, which make spills more likely than they should be. this coffee is the best in springfield no doubt. it's a little strange driving up to a box to order coffee from but it totally works. i love the coffee and the workers are so nice. there is no menu so i would recommend coming with an idea of what you want. punch cards are available and might as well grab one because i bet you come back read more

Excellent coffee! We were looking for a good local alternative to Starbucks while driving through and are so glad we stopped here! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I got a sweet cream latte which was incredibly smooth and not overly sweet. My travel companions got the black and white mocha, which had an excellent blend of flavors, and a hazelnut latte, which had a nice strong coffee flavor without being overly harsh. I honestly don't know why I kept going back to Starbucks, the coffee is not that good. I remember times I would be disappointed about the drink I got, but at dark stone I've loved every drink I've tried so far..plus they'll happily remake your drink if you don't like it. It's a personal experience pulling up to their window. I've sat there in my car uncertain about what to get and have gotten great insight from the workers. The workers are always so sweet, and I love just getting to have conversations with them. It's just a totally different experience from Starbucks. Their coffee tastes so good and it doesn't make you feel icky after you drink it. It's not overly sweet but it doesn't need to be because of the quality. It's organic but tastes amazing. My new favorite coffee shop/stand in town! The excellent and friendly service, coupled with the delicious coffee, made the trip from Rogersville well worth it. I had the house blend - black, and my wife had the Almond Joy mocha. Both were fantastic! One word of caution: the coffee is boiling hot!
