The staff here is so sweet, the food was fresh and delicious, the outdoor patio was nicely shaded and cute! They have a great variety of drinks to choose from and I'm obsessed with the plants they had inside, very well kept and looked absolutely gorgeous

Orange and Tomato Soup - wayyyyy too salty Cold Cut sandwich - regular Italian Total: $18.50

Ambiance was fantastic. Love the outdoor seating. The orange and tomato soup *would* have been good, but I think someone used a little too much sea salt and the aftertaste tasted like the ocean. The cold cut (Italian) sandwich was good. The setting and presentation was beautiful, but it was expensive ($18.50 for hypertension soup and a sandwich.) And oh my god I still can't get the salt out of my mouth.

I would get it 4 stars for their coffee and 5 stars for there ambiance. Such a cute little shops. I didn't try anything other then there coffee but the sandwiches look fantastic. Service is great.

Biscuits and mushroom gravy with bacon.

How often do you have to frequent an establishment to be called a regular? As often as I come to Cherry Picker for chill late night drinks, dinner after work, or some sweet summer patio hangs fueled by rosès that no one else in town has, I had never come for breakfast. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I knew it was going to be good. I ordered the biscuits and mushroom gravy add bacon. This dish had an insane amount of flavor, mainly from the umami bomb that was the mushroom gravy. It carried the distinct earthiness that only mushrooms can provide, but at the same time displayed a great balance of smokey spice with just a whisper of sweetness. The biscuit itself was baked as one would expect, having a slight crust on the top and bottom with a flakey yet pillowy center. The bacon in this dish was optional and I must say, as much as I love bacon, it did not really add anything extra to the dish. The biscuits and gravy stand on their own without needing any additions. There is no doubt I will be adding weekend breakfast in my rotation of regular visits to Cherry Picker.

UPDATED REVIEW This has quickly become one of my favorite spots in town. They have great specials for every day of the week. Their food is always so delicious and fresh. A great spot for getting together with friends to split bottles of wine & eat a very delicious well put together charcuterie board! Prices are great- especially if you're getting a bottle! ORIGINAL REVIEW First time checking this place out and all I can say is I'm not sure why I've never been before! Love the area, laid back atmosphere, great drinks including bottle prices and the food is so fresh and light. Definitely my new go to for patio sitting!

As hipster-chic hangouts go, you could do a lot worse than this low-key wine dive in Springfield's trendy Pickwick neighborhood. It's clear great care is taken to ensure that the food (a tomato and orange cream bisque with pesto toast, on my visit) is elevated in surprising and delicious ways, and the selection of beverages is unparalleled in this part of town. Beyond the wine, they also brew a mean Americano, and there are a number of teas to choose from as well (although I haven't tried them, so you'll have to find out for yourself whether they're good or not). That said, what makes Cherry Picker truly great are its outdoor seating arrangements and the attendant people-watching available while enjoying them. Its unique location and reputation around town combine to attract an eclectic mix of unique individuals, both young and old, who are not only interesting to look at but fun to speak to, as well. The communal arrangement of the accommodations encourages those kind of interactions, and as we all know, intriguing conversation always makes dinner better.

Awesome food and great atmosphere especially for the summer. Also do yourself a favor and take a walk down the street plenty of shade and beautiful houses.

Yummy!

SUSAN was the bomb.com Such a lovely lady with a beautiful…read moresoul. She had so much to share and helped me find a tasty wine despite me not having any experience. She is wonderful at her job and deserves a raise!! Bless her heart.

It pains me to write this, but after tonight I have to. We've been going to Macadoodles for years,…read moreand they used to be great. Our last 4 visits though have been terrible. One visit, on a weekday, we visited when they were apparently really short staffed. The workers made sure to tell us all about it and even seemed annoyed that we were taking them away from their jobs when we wanted to check out. Another time, when I asked about one of my favorite craft bourbons that they used to carry, the clerk went on to say that they didn't have it any more and basically gave me a big explanation about how that brand just wasn't very good. I appreciate that everyone has their own tastes, but flat out insulting a small craft brand, that one of your customers really likes, isn't the best way to make more sales. Then tonight's experience...My wife and I stopped by to restock. I don't like my kids to stay in the car by themselves, especially in certain parts of Springfield, that have a larger homeless population. Nothing against them personally, but when they're walking around loudly talking to themselves, why grabbing their junk, I'd rather not leave my kids alone in the car. So on this night, we had our teenage son come in with us. Didn't buy anything crazy, my wife likes Mike's and I got a new local beer from SBC. When we got to the counter, my son touched one of those small bottles of liquor they have at the counter. He didn't pick it up, but he did turn it to see what the label said. The clerk immediately stopped the transaction and asked for his ID. We told her that he wasn't 21, but she wanted to see it anyway, so he showed it to her. She then informed us that she would not serve us, because he touched a bottle and he wasn't 21. I was totally confused, so I asked why, and she told me it was state law? She said that she had suspicions that we were buying alcohol for him. Huh? Do you get a lot of husband/wife teams in buying for minors? She wouldn't budge, so we ended up having to leave. VERY embarrassing, especially on a busy evening in a crowded store. Really sucks, because my brother-in-law and I frequently went on bourbon hunts in this store and left with 5-6 bottles of bourbon on multiple occasions. One less store for me to hunt now! Do yourself a favor and hit Brown Derby instead. Their staff is a lot nicer and the prices are usually a little cheaper.
