I had an Irish breakfast tea with a bowl of yogurt, sprinkled with granola. The granola was made fresh, on-site with generous dark chocolate chunks. Heaven! The ambiance was Celtic. I felt right at home!

Charming spot for both breakfast or lunch. I love the curry chicken salad yet everything is wonderful. Look out for the seasonal dessert bars, the pumpkin with cream cheese is one of my favorites!

I was told this is where to go for quiche, but they didn't have it during dinner. Whoa is me and life must move on, but there is a sampler! Pros: Specials, specials, specials (Gnocchi) Chicken curry Salads Corn Quinoa Salads Herbal Teas Scones This a small tea house, hipster, relax, outdoor seating when it's not humid (wait when is that going to happen in MO?). If you are looking for something of more substance and comfort, honestly don't come here. This is more of a place for conversations, read a book, drink some tea/talk about politics, etc. with some friends and eat a salad b/c you just had some biscuit and gravy for lunch.

Thank you, Yelp, for uncovering another hidden gem in an unexpected city! 8 reasons I will definitely return to Tea Bar & Bites: 1. The extensive tea menu, including lavender (the first cup of my choosing)! 2. They offer outdoor seating. 3. Curry chicken salad was plentiful, fresh, and tasty! I would definitely go back for this. 4. Unique atmosphere: the interior has windy hallways, and you may be seated in one of 3 or 4 rooms. It really feels homey in the best way possible. 5. Omg, did I mention what a variety of tea they have? Don't worry if you don't want the caffeine. There are so many herbal options! 6. Tea is served in a cute teapot (mine was pink!). 7. Super friendly waitstaff. 8. Merchandise (tea supplies, trinkets, of course, tea...) sold at the front.

Food is good, and I like the eclectic menu. I'm not a big fan of sharing my meal with flies (and we were eating indoors). Also, the food is supposed to be healthy and fresh (read = pricey for what you get). But hey, at least the service was slow and unresponsive (didn't get a side that was supposed to come with our meal until we were paying the bill). I'll try it again at some point. But I won't be in a rush to do it.

The cutest place! The prices are great for what you get. A place for smaller parties as the building is little. I got some sort of sampler plate and it was to die for. The selection of pastries is great and all of the ones I tried are delicious.

Cucumber cream cheese with scone and lemon bar paired with berry berry tea.

Nice selection of treats, in addition to multiple tea options and coffee. Great place for a break or a quick lunch date.

I had a blood orange nitro coffee and it was amazing! The building is beautiful and a great place to relax or chat with a friend for a few minutes. The group that is outside of the shop with the dogs is very strange and this is not the shops fault but I don't understand why the city of Springfield doesn't ask them to move. The square in Springfield is beautiful and people don't need to camp out in the area.

I like to think of myself as a coffee/espresso snob who knows a good cafe when I come across one. I'm from Springfield and moved away to the Bay Area, CA before ever trying Coffee Ethic. I came back home for my wedding and decided to walk here one morning instead of going to my usual spot Mudhouse cafe. So I glad I decided to because this place feels like a 1 of 1. Our trip was 5 days and we went every day and every time it did not disappoint from our initial high. We've tried the peanut miso cortado with a sparking water back, lemon espresso tonic, cherry creme brûlée latte, and blood orange nitro cold brew, askinosie mocha and I loved every one. The streamed milk was appropriate based on the drink with the steamed milk passing the spoon test and keeping its silky microfoam texture until the last sip. I also enjoy looking behind the counter to watch the process. I enjoy the process myself at home on my espresso machine and rarely do I see a cafe put in the same work (I understand commercial and household kitchens will need to do it differently based on on volume). They use a distributor and tamper to evenly prepare the espresso puck. Even though their commercial grade machines likely don't need that prep work it's feels reassuring they are taking those prophylactic measures. And the most interesting tidbit of local history in the cafe I learned is the wood they salvaged from a historic flood in 2006 they've repurposed into benches and chairs for seating. I haven't been to a cafe like this in the Bay Area and am envious I don't have this as my local cafe. This place deserves its spotlight and recognition beyond just being a great cafe for Springfield or even Missouri. My only wish is they offered croissants and pain au chocolate

It's a great place to study, if you don't need silence, or to hang out with friends. I enjoy the dim lighting and background music that seems to be a hallmark of this location. The margherita flat bread is some kind of good. They spread pesto on a naan flat bread, add sliced fresh mozzarella, fresh Roma tomatoes and a balsamic drizzle. Heavenly. The niece loves the hummus with naan. It was ok to me. A little sharper and more garlicky than I prefer, but still good. Did I mention that the margherita flat bread is amazing??? I'm 55.
