Meat and cheese for two $13.50.

We've enjoyed this place over the years. Tonight was a bit different. The QR code menu prices are different than what they charge you. Not a bunch but $1.50 or so each off. Plus some item s we received happy hour pricing and others we did not. It was hard to say because they use electronic pads for your bill so it's not itemized. I guess my biggest hang up was a guy that brought his non-emotional support animal. Two of the two waitresses that were on duty stopped to welcome him and the dog. BTW, we were already waiting over 15 minutes to get our second drink. Our main waitress went and filled a carafe up with whipped cream and bent down to feed the dog. I watched both of them after they rubbed all over the dog. One went and hit the sanitizer without washing her hands before she went to serve drinks. Our waitress didn't wash her hands or sanitize before she started serving again. At the end of the day, I'm not going to frequent places that allow dogs in freely and allow them to run freely.

    Bubble fight martini

One of my new favorite spots in Springfield. I got a bubble fight martini and it was incredible. I also got a cheese plate and it was just amazing. We got the one for two and couldn't even finish. The prices were so good and unbeatable for downtown. With covid they did a great job at keeping everything clean and I felt comfortable being there. I can't wait to come back and try cheese fondue!

    Cappuccino!

A traditional coffee house by day and bar by night. Athens GA is the only place I've been that does this better. I suggest the cappuccino & brownie, perfect combo!

It's my go-to bar downtown. Has soft seating. Taps are carefully curated. Good selection of bar food. Not too loud.

I had a blood orange nitro coffee and it was amazing! The building is beautiful and a great place to relax or chat with a friend for a few minutes. The group that is outside of the shop with the dogs is very strange and this is not the shops fault but I don't understand why the city of Springfield doesn't ask them to move. The square in Springfield is beautiful and people don't need to camp out in the area.

I like to think of myself as a coffee/espresso snob who knows a good cafe when I come across one. I'm from Springfield and moved away to the Bay Area, CA before ever trying Coffee Ethic. I came back home for my wedding and decided to walk here one morning instead of going to my usual spot Mudhouse cafe. So I glad I decided to because this place feels like a 1 of 1. Our trip was 5 days and we went every day and every time it did not disappoint from our initial high. We've tried the peanut miso cortado with a sparking water back, lemon espresso tonic, cherry creme brûlée latte, and blood orange nitro cold brew, askinosie mocha and I loved every one. The streamed milk was appropriate based on the drink with the steamed milk passing the spoon test and keeping its silky microfoam texture until the last sip. I also enjoy looking behind the counter to watch the process. I enjoy the process myself at home on my espresso machine and rarely do I see a cafe put in the same work (I understand commercial and household kitchens will need to do it differently based on on volume). They use a distributor and tamper to evenly prepare the espresso puck. Even though their commercial grade machines likely don't need that prep work it's feels reassuring they are taking those prophylactic measures. And the most interesting tidbit of local history in the cafe I learned is the wood they salvaged from a historic flood in 2006 they've repurposed into benches and chairs for seating. I haven't been to a cafe like this in the Bay Area and am envious I don't have this as my local cafe. This place deserves its spotlight and recognition beyond just being a great cafe for Springfield or even Missouri. My only wish is they offered croissants and pain au chocolate

It's a great place to study, if you don't need silence, or to hang out with friends. I enjoy the dim lighting and background music that seems to be a hallmark of this location. The baristas do a great job and are fast. This last time I stopped by I tried a s'mores inspired latte and overall I thought it was great. She says it's still good but she prefers the fresh espresso and forgot to ask for it. The niece is a vegetarian so I can't speak to any menu items with meat. The margherita flat bread is some kind of good. They spread pesto on a naan flat bread, add sliced fresh mozzarella, fresh Roma tomatoes and a balsamic drizzle. Heavenly. The niece loves the hummus with naan. It was ok to me. A little sharper and more garlicky than I prefer, but still good. Did I mention that the margherita flat bread is amazing??? I'm 55. I love classic rock. The music is top tier. Staff was friendly and the place is very clean with booths, tables and high top seating.
