Everytime we visit we are blown away by the beautiful patisseries available. + they have a large assortment of gluten free delicacies.

Every time I am in Springfield, I always get coffee and breakfast at European Cafe. The service is friendly! The seasonal coffees and beverages are always delish! And I always have to order the Cacio e Pepe egg scramble. It is deliciously rich and cheesy, not to mention the side of sourdough toast and honey butter. To die for!

Stopped in to get a couple sweet treats. It wasn't busy when I went, which was around 1330. Employees were polite and accommodating. It was nice and bright from outside lighting, very pleasant. The desserts were delicious. The croissants were the best I've had, flakey, buttery, perfect.

Finally found a place with good pastries! Having been in Europe, it's really hard to find something in the US that is good. I've been here numerous times and desserts are outstanding. Good place for studying. Service is friendly.

Absolutely incredible coffee, comfy and cozy atmosphere, along with that downtown feel. Service is fast and the desserts are splendid. A café doing it right!

An unassuming little coffee shop with very friendly, young staff. It's my favorite in the area, I just wish I didn't come when they were cleaning up in the afternoon. But the coffee and cake were nice. I recommend the caramel brûlée latte (5/5) and the Dulce de Leche Latte (5/5). The chocolate malted latte was meh (2/5). The chocolate mousse, and the tiramisu were very good (5/5) . The Chai Opera cake was dry (2.5/5) but the Mocha opera cake was much better (4/5). The caramel chocolate eclair was interesting, but not a must have (3/5). I wasn't a huge fan of the Ferrero Rocher cake (2/5) either, but everything was fresh. Everything is homemade. It's nice for a date or taking a friend into town, but too expensive to go regularly. It was $15 for one cake and a 12 oz latte.

The staff was very friendly and helpful- answering any questions we had and recommending different items. The chocolate malted latte was absolutely amazing, the espresso was smooth, it wasn't too sweet, and the malt was subtle. The macaroons were to die for and each one was a different trip and experience of various flavors for the palate! The atmosphere was welcoming, clean, and cozy. Tucked away in a historic downtown area. Worth the walk if you can't find a place to park! We definitely will be back and we can't recommend this place enough!

Phenomenal. Delicious. Flavorful. Amazing. My friend and I popped in for some tea. Unfortunately they did not have plain herbal teas (like a Chamomile or Peppermint). I decided to try the Italian Soda, desert pear and am so glad I did! It was one of the best flavored Italian Sodas I've ever had! 5/5 The crème brûlée was also phenomenal. Great vanilla bean flavor, perfect consistency on a crunchy caramel crust. The perfect juxtaposition of flavors. Superb. 5/5 The vibe was calm and classy, yet casual. Typical of your typical cafes, but in the best way possible. Service was good. There were a few items that I was wanting to try, but they had sold out for the day. At least that means that everything is fresh! I highly recommend you try European Cafe if you like cafes with baked goods and quick drinks. It is amazing!

Greeted by sweet, courteous service. From the entrance off of downtown square until coffee ready for pickup at counter, a charming and welcomed passing. Latte was made to belly-warming perfection and delighted they had a few dairy-alternatives to select from. They had a horchata latte special, but were out because they make their rice milk in house! (No vegan friendly bites or treats here, but not advertised that they do.)

I'm not sure what downtown Springfield did to deserve this gem, but I'm here for it. I have been stopping here every time I'm in Springfield, since 2020. This is my favorite bakery in Springfield because they have so many options for European treats that are all baked in house. The cases are always stocked with cakes, cookies and more. I love that some cookies are bite sized and dainty. My favorite thing to do is get a mixed box of cookies and let my kids try a variety of flavors. The Italian wedding cookie is always a hit. For drinks, I have tried the matcha, blueberry lavender lemonade, and chocolate malted latte. All are delicious, the ambiance is peaceful, and the charm is undeniable. Don't miss this spot and try something new each time!

D-Freakng-licious! Wow , that crème brûlée latter is unmatched! What a cool environment too! Next time I'm leaving room for some pastries!

We only had six people in our own fabulous pink room. There were only 5 or 6 people out front so why did it take 3 hours to be served our lunch & to leave from the time we arrived at 11 am & didn't get to leave until 1:30 pm. Three hours to get our meal & eat was an incredibly long period of time. It was freezing in there--the room temperature was zero.

I had a blood orange nitro coffee and it was amazing! The building is beautiful and a great place to relax or chat with a friend for a few minutes. I like to think of myself as a coffee/espresso snob who knows a good cafe when I come across one. I'm from Springfield and moved away to the Bay Area, CA before ever trying Coffee Ethic. I came back home for my wedding and decided to walk here one morning instead of going to my usual spot Mudhouse cafe. So I glad I decided to because this place feels like a 1 of 1. Our trip was 5 days and we went every day and every time it did not disappoint from our initial high. We've tried the peanut miso cortado with a sparking water back, lemon espresso tonic, cherry creme brûlée latte, and blood orange nitro cold brew, askinosie mocha and I loved every one. The streamed milk was appropriate based on the drink with the steamed milk passing the spoon test and keeping its silky microfoam texture until the last sip. I also enjoy looking behind the counter to watch the process. I enjoy the process myself at home on my espresso machine and rarely do I see a cafe put in the same work (I understand commercial and household kitchens will need to do it differently based on on volume). They use a distributor and tamper to evenly prepare the espresso puck. Even though their commercial grade machines likely don't need that prep work it's feels reassuring they are taking those prophylactic measures. And the most interesting tidbit of local history in the cafe I learned is the wood they salvaged from a historic flood in 2006 they've repurposed into benches and chairs for seating. I haven't been to a cafe like this in the Bay Area and am envious I don't have this as my local cafe. This place deserves its spotlight and recognition beyond just being a great cafe for Springfield or even Missouri. My only wish is they offered croissants and pain au chocolate

It feels like there's a lot of care behind everything they serve. It also has that feel of a well-run, possibly family-driven operation -- like everyone involved knows their role and executes it well. The vibe is good, the space is inviting, and it's just an enjoyable place to spend some time. Pricing is a bit on the higher side -- more of a "treat yourself" stop than an everyday routine -- but the quality backs it up. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you appreciate good coffee.

Service is okay usually, but I came through the drive through around 7 AM on Friday, 2/6 and was very disappointed. I was the only vehicle in the drive through from start to finish. I ordered the açaí bowl, and pulled to the window as directed. I waited a good 7-8 minutes, then the employee opened the window with the card reader and gave me the total. No "hi, hello, good morning," just the total. I waited a few more minutes and then the same employee opened the window and handed out my food without a word. I thanked him for the food and he just closed the window. The customer service was completely absent from the transaction. I don't expect a full conversation, but a simple greeting at the window or "you're welcome" when I got my food would have been nice. I also thought the (at least) 10-minute wait for an almost $14 after tax açaí bowl was a bit much, but I usually don't mind if the food and service is adequate. Not sure if the employees were just having a rough day, but the experience was disappointing at best and at 7 AM it has the potential to set the tone for the rest of a customer's day. Note - picture is after I mixed the bowl. It looks prettier when you first get it, and is more satisfying when you walk away with a better experience.
