We got our food quick, but not too quick so you know they're making everything fresh. The food was incredible! We got the cornbread muffins to start.... WOW! So so good. I got the Caesar salad with salmon and my husband got the other salad with steak. Both were equally as delicious. The dessert... we got the s'mores brownie. Genuinely the best thing I've ever tasted. I haven't been to the Ozark Mill in a while and so I decided to take my mother there while she was in town. We ordered two salads two pizzas, two mocktails and one dessert.. their garden salad has so much vinegar. My mom was choking and had watery eyes she could need it.. We also ordered the pizza with roasted corn when it arrived. The corn just looked like it did come out of a can. There was no char no roasting. It was pretty disgusting. Last but not least on their seasonal menu. We ordered a dessert a blueberry lemon tart.. thinking it's on the seasonal menu. You thought this is gonna be good. Oh no, I couldn't even cut it with a fork. It was so hard. As for the taste, there was no flavor at all with all these different ingredients you would think there would be so much flavor. The moose had no taste. The tart had no taste the crust. Tasteless was just a hard rock. The only plus side is that the weight staff was extremely pleasant very helpful. Things arrived on time she checked on us multiple times answered any questions we had.. Overall, if I was to go here again, I'd probably just go for mocktails or cocktails. Johnny Morris needs to hire a better chef.. I could've got a better pizza crust at Aldi's. They maybe should think about getting their pizza crust from Aldi's. I don't write a lot of reviews, but I had to do it this time. It's pretty expensive for shit food.! read more

What a fun place to visit. They have done a lovely job with the grounds and the restoration of this mill. Everyone was very friendly and our server was great. It was a little slow. I waited for a very long time for my mango tea which was strange that a drink took that long. It was fruity and refreshing just took awhile to get to me. Our food was all very good. That arrived much quicker than the drink. Spinach dip was excellent. Fried green tomatoes weren't as hot as they could have been but still good. I just got Mac and cheese and a Caesar salad. Mac and cheese was mediocre. Caesar salad was excellent. Loved the baked Parmesan crunchies in it. The other dishes our party got were pretty good. Nothing was super hot which was a little disappointing. Dessert was a crostini with homemade Carmel ice cream and that was amazingly good! read more

The Ozark Mill was a fantastic experience for my wife and I. We had a lovely date night, sitting outside and taking in the stunning views of the water. The place was not only beautiful but also comfortable. The staff were extremely polite and professional. I ordered the crispy catfish, which was cooked to perfection but lacked seasoning. On the other hand, my wife's pizza was absolutely delicious, and the Caesar salad was seasoned and prepared perfectly. Overall, it's a wonderful place to enjoy delicious food. The grounds are a show stopper. It's a country mill beautifully renovated with a gift shop in the waiting area. Farm to table. We had 6p reservations and were seated promptly. There's a nice balcony with outdoor seating but it was raining so unfortunately could not take advantage. Appetizer was a salmon cream cheese dip that was excellent. My husband and I both ordered fish. I asked for potatoes instead of the barley riscotto just my pref and was not a problem. Many items are marked gluten free including desserts. Strange twist that a tornado warning forced everyone to shelter in the basement restaurant for about 30 min. Staff did not miss a beat. When we return and we will we want to try that space. Overall a nice night out. Coffee at end of meal was not hot and had to send it back. Only hiccup. read more

What a cool experience. Outstanding service, great food, and scenery (outside) that just can't be beat. This is an excellent spot to have a meal and some drinks along the riverside. The menu changes occasionally but there's a variety of dishes and something for every pallet. The Mill has its own mini farm, bringing in fresh fruit, herbs and vegetables right from their own doorstep. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. read more

This was our first visit. Having been lovers of the old Riverside, we were curious about how the Morrises had revitalized the old Mill. My wife, son visiting from CO and I went in for lunch to explore the store and the restaurant. The lower level was not open for us to check out be we noticed they do have tours which we'll have to check out on a future visit. We waited a little to be seated but were greeted by a very friendly hostess, who seated us where we had a great view of the Finley River. The decor was authentically rustic no doubt chocked full of history that we would have enjoyed learning. Our server Joy brought menus including a seasonal lunch and "Express" menus. LOTS of intriguing starters, entrees and desserts. We started with salmon dip, which was very tasty. We then ordered our entrees which consisted of the fried catfish, Smash burger and fried chicken sandwich (with the hot rub.) All were outstanding! I love lots of spice and have to say I don't think my request for "extra hot " got to the chef. Anyway the spicy chicken sandwich was flavorful. Overall we had a great first experience. Joy was a friendly and helpful server but she may have been spread a little thin. The Ozark Mill is definitely a repeater for us! read more

Stopped in here while visiting Ozark today. We were here a little early and got a great table by the window. Our server Explained the menu in great detail so we knew what to order. We started with the salmon dip and chips. The dip was really good, seasoned well. I then had the meatloaf which was very good. Very lean meat with mashed potatoes that were very good. The seasoning of the meat was excellent and very balanced flavor. My wife had the Mac and cheese and really liked it as well. Service was excellent. The restaurant is a beautiful building inside. I had seen quite a few reviews for The Ozark Mill that, while not exactly negative, weren't very flattering about the food or staff. But we were hungry, and the restaurant and store looked beautiful, so we decided to give it a try. My wife ordered the salmon dip, and I went with the Caesar salad with the salmon add-on. Our waitress was prompt, friendly, and attentive. When the food arrived, her salmon dip came with large, thin, house-made crackers--and both the dip and the crackers were delicious. My salmon Caesar salad was excellent, and after finishing every bite of mine, I ended up helping my wife by wiping her dip bowl clean! Beautiful setting, excellent food, and a timely, attentive waitress... I think some of the other reviewers must have visited on an off day. I would absolutely return to The Ozark Mill. read more

The cornbread appetizers with cinnamon hot honey butter were amazing. We had 2 different pasta dishes that were excellent and the blackberry mint Moscow mule was a perfect blend with just the right hint of mint. The meatloaf was excellent. Guest had catfish and had issues with it. Service was good. Other guests had chicken and Rueben, which they both said was solid. Views over the falls from restaurant windows was special. What an amazing find! We sat at the bar and had wonderful, personalized service from Anice. We ordered the Smooth Criminal IPA (which was great), the spinach dip, and the bee and butcher pizza. It was the best spinach dip I've ever had! A must try. The butcher and bee pizza was much larger than anticipated and was also delicious with a hot honey over the top. Adventure Saturday!!! Today we took a drive into Springfield and visited Finley Farms - a MUST go for a little bit of history with a load of amazing food. Finley Farms is the Ozark Mill along the Finley River that was purchased by the daughter of Johnny Morris (owner of Bass Pro Shop). They did a huge renovation and conversion to include a restaurant, country store, fine dining speakeasy style bar and restaurant, coffee shop and gardens. We started with brunch at the Ozark Mill restaurant. Then walked the grounds, including an old bridge. We headed out for a few hours and returned for dinner at The Garrison (speakeasy vibe bar and fine dining). The Brunch at the Mill was so good and includes an omelette station, biscuits and gravy (some of the best I've had), bacon, sausage, hash brown casserole, scrambled eggs, salmon, prime rib, waffles, oatmeal, cinnamon rolls and a dessert bar. Sweet tea was perfection (not too sweet) and a fresh lemonade station. This is an excellent choice and worth an hours drive for sure!!! read more

We had the best brunch here today! It's a full buffet with tons of variety and a beautiful view. Fresh, delicious food. The omelette bar, shrimp & grits, prime rib, salmon, waffles, fresh salad & fruit, iced tea & lemonade with fruit syrups to add in, and a full dessert bar were some of my favorites! Also loved the cute gift shop for some souvenirs right outside the restaurant. Can't wait to come back on our next trip to Branson. read more

We did have a large group this last time and the previous time was only 6 people. We live in ozark and want to spend money here but we have to drive to Springfield to spend our money. read more

We went to the Ozarks mill on New Year's Day! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. There are always there asking about food quality and refills. The food is top notch and the atmosphere of the old mill and the scenic natural scenery of the river outside the window. It's one of our favorite places in Southwest Missouri read more

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful restaurant. Came here for a birthday dinner with family and it was the perfect place. When you walk in there's a lovely general store overlooking the dining area and the water in the back. We started with drinks - 2 off-menus Bloody Mary's, a gorgeous Lavender Gin fizz, and Maple Old Fashioned - and all were delicious. The Blood Mary was one of the best I've had. The French fries served with the main plates were the perfect rustic cut fry and the salads were fresh and delicious (my favorite was the one with the whipped goat cheese). We finished with the green tomato cake and I must admit it was one of the best desserts I've ever had. We were skeptical at first, but it's a delicious, moist, subtly sweet cake similar to carrot cake with an incredible cream cheese frosting. I'd come back for that cake and that cake alone. read more

Ambience is unmatched. The grounds are gorgeous, and inside the restaurant is rustic with beautiful views inside and outside on the patio. The service is prompt, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was good for some items but the one drawback was the fried pork chop. It's thin and boneless and mine was totally overcooked. So burnt I couldn't eat the massive portion. Other items on the menu were good so just hoping that was a fluke. read more

We arrived, driving from the other, western side of Highway 65... driving through Brad Pitt's hometown (and the home town of Jason Bourne... listen closely to the last minutes of the first movie... he and Matt Damon are friends...) and we were soon at The Ozark Mill. I had known of Finley Farms from MissouriLife magazine. Our daughter and I enjoyed dinner on a Silver Dollar City trip back in December and I've wanted to visit with my wonderful wife since. While it was a warm day, they balcony was in the shade, so we enjoyed an outside seat, and friendly service from Colten. Basically a cheese pizza for $19. It's okay, but nothing exciting. It used to be something you traveled to eat; however, they changed the recipe. We had the spinach dip for appetizer and it's not the typical you are used to getting, it's better. The place is awesome all around but hopefully they change the pizza. Before... big crispy bubbles in the dough, chunks of tomato and basil. Now... flat soggy dough, chiffonade basil that cooks out, and a bland red sauce. Flavor is still good but as I said nothing exciting on your palate. So many other choices so we will be back, just not for pizza. read more

We've been here several times now and it's one of our favorite places. The food is beautiful and fresh. Farm grown. Beautiful colors. Great presentation and flavor. Ambiance is warm and upscale rustic. Gorgeous place they have here. Staff are friendly and attentive. Restrooms are well stocked and have a cool feature where you can listen to Ozark history on a speaker. The fixtures in the restrooms are the old kind that your great grandparents had in their home. So cool. We love this place. Everything about it is inviting. My only complaint is that I wish they could do something about the flies that come into the dining room when people open the patio doors. I wish they would get those air blowers and attach them to the top of the door frames. They blow air down so that bugs don't come in when the door is opened. That would be a very welcome addition, in my opinion. Today we had the farmers board and the big pretzel for our appetizer. Honestly, every time we order the farmers board, I think that I could just make my entire meal out of it. The fresh Ables bread and the tomato sauce is just amazing. Today we tried the pretzel for the first time and it was fantastic. The mustard that came with it was also delicious. My entrée was the Braised Short Rib Stroganoff. It was phenomenal. I love the fresh papperdelle pasta. Pretty sure they made it from scratch. I also ordered some Parmesan fries for us to share. Those were great as well. My husband had the Chicken Fried Pork Chop and it was huge. It looked delicious with the mashed potatoes and green beans. My husband is not a fan of that style of green bean and he wasn't a fan of some of the pork chop's extra breading, but overall he liked his meal. My son had the kids burger sliders with fries and loved everything. We also shared a strawberry cobbler dessert which comes with a lemon cream ice cream. It was fantastic. They should really consider selling that ice cream by the pint. I think it would be really popular. We absolutely love this place and will certainly be back for meals and for the other amenities they offer- classes, gardening, another fine dining option with the Garrison, etc. read more

A friend and I had lunch together today at Ozark Mill. I ordered smoked salmon dip and a Ruben sandwich with fries. Everything was ok but nothing was really great. The dip was average , but nothing special. I didn't care for the Ruben at all, it didn't have much sauerkraut at all & no taste of 1000 island dressing. It was pretty bland & the meat was too smoky & tough. The old mill is neat to see & it's a very pretty setting. I will go back & give it another chance sometime. Hopefully I will change my opinion of the food. The service was not great either, after we received our food we didn't see the waitress until we were completely done eating. Which was frustrating because we both needed ketchup & drinks refilled. The restaurant was not busy, so it was not that she was just too busy to check in. read more

First of all, it's expensive for the small food portions. The kitchen and wait staff are slow. Ambiance is rustic and nice, but oddly there is no outside sign to announce the front door. No name on the restaurant. The decorative yard lights aren't on at dusk so we had to call and ask how to get in. When we got there, it looked closed. Food: meatloaf is almost $40! Steaks are twice that. The child's portion of spaghetti sauce on noodles is $15. The "smash burger" with fries is $20. Sonic drive-in makes a much better smash burger for less than half their price and you don't have to wait 65 minutes to get it. It appears they've spent lots of money building the site, but not on staff, cooks, or supervision. I don't recommend it for a special family gathering like we had wanted. read more

This is a farm to table restaurant. We went during Sunday brunch so we did not order off the menu. The food was amazing. There is appetizers, salads, breakfast foods (bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy,etc), a waffle bar, & dessert table. They also have a full bar. Service was great. Ambience was magical. It is Christmas time so they were several Christmas trees and winter decor items. It's a very spacious restaurant with several areas to sit at a table & a store at the entrance of the restaurant. The remodel is a nod at the mill's history with a well-appointed touch of class and emphasis on excellence. The menu is true farm to table and offers a variety of mouth watering selections!
