We went for dinner around 9:30 the other night and had the half price appetizers and a few drinks. The appetizers that are half price after 9pm are a great deal! We got several to share and watched the football game. The waitress was super friendly and the food came out quickly. We will be back for sure! We ordered using Door Dash. We have used DD before and like that the order is tracked from the second you submit to your door. This was a Saturday night and the times on the tracker kept getting bumped out. Every ten minutes added 10-13 minutes. We saw when our order was pocked up and the sweet Dasher that brought it came straight to our house had our order in insulation bags like normal. OUR FOOD WAS STONE COLD! Plus the food was in plastic containers not Styrofoam boxes as you would expect. We know that our food was held there for some reason dying in the window in these little plastic boxes. The Dasher also told us that when she picked ours up there were 6 orders waiting for pick up as well. We are certain that it DD was not to blame. If you choose Applebees, dine in or plan on reheating. Very sad meal!!!!! read more

Just ordered 4 meals and deserts from there for curbside pick up. 2 of the pasta meals with broccoli were way undercooked and cold. My kids couldn't even finish eating it. I quite possibly had the worst cut of 8oz top sirloin I've ever had in my life. My desert item didn't come with the ice cream that it was supposed to come with. I absolutely do NOT recommend getting a to go order through them. They obviously dont care about their reputation or the skimping on the food to get more miney out of their customers. Went to Applebee's in Nixa Missouri the bathroom was not clean and the floor was very sticky. ordered a strawberry lemonade and a salad and artichoke dip and my daughter got the same the dips and Chip had way too much salt on it and then our salads came out with grilled chicken on it that was very cold and that was after we waited for our food for 38 minutes if I can give them a 0 star I would yes the salad looked good but it was supposed to have Hot Chicken on it and it was cold plus there was no salad per se on it there was no green actual lettuce in the salad worst Food I've ever had. 4 of us came here on 30 July 22 at about 6 pm. The waitresses and staff were very friendly and willing to take our order for food and drinks. That was the only thing that was positive. A short little cute and Vivacious blonde was working the bar... It was obvious she was very inexperienced and had no clue on how to make any drinks. I can honestly say that I can't put these drinks in the category as weak.. i'd put these alcohol and drinks that we ordered in the category of juice... There was none zip zero alcohol in them. I asked for extra shots in my drink I was charged for them however still no alcohol. NOT HAPPY. At the time that we went in the restaurant was maybe 20% occupied. It took forever to get appetizers, took forever to get our drinks, and our entrées. Not to mention they got several things wrong on the order ... We didn't bother asking them to fix it... My food came out lukewarm. The tables and chairs felt very sticky and dirty... We had to ask for silverware and napkins. They cannot wipe up the water on the floors while I went to the bathroom twice and almost slipped on my ass. I will never go back to a An Applebee's ever again... This is a 3rd different Applebee's in the last year love been to in their chain is definitely been going downhill. Goodbye to Applebee's forever. read more

Me and my family went to dinner a few nights ago and I just got my updated payment on my card the total for $57.34 I didn't leave a tip I marked that out and rote on the total $57.34 and now my updated amount for my bill is $68.81 wich means my waitress ZOIE B took it upon her self to give her self an $11.47 tip. This needs to be fixed this is fraud and I need my money back and a free meal for me and my family for the inconvenience and the fraud. read more

Wow. That's all I have to say. Its so shocking to see a restaurant not social distance their customers. I understand the purpose of paper menus but what's the point if they don't list the items having nuts in them. My child has a nut allergy and there NO was description or notification of the item (chicken wrap) including almonds! This is the second bad experience we have had at Applebe's Nixa MO location. The first time we walked out after waiting 20 minutes to be noticed. No menu, no water, nothing in 20 minutes. This time we went in for a cup of coffee and bowl of French Onion soup, one of my favorites. There was way to much cheese, the bread used was not toasted and the soup was cold when served causing the cheese to harden to the point that I picked it up with a fork. After taking three sips of the cold soup I asked the waitress to remove it from the table and the bill. Thirty minutes after returning home I began to throw up and came to the conclusion I had food poisoning. If they had the option of a zero rating I would have checked that. read more

Came in tonight for a cocktail and the female bartender was half dressed and did a very sloppy job fixing my drink. A martini does not go in a regular glass and you don't fill the glass up with ice then pour the martini over ice. That's how she did it that night. Very poorly made, I took one sip and didn't drink the rest of it and I still paid for it. She never ever asked if we wanted anything else. Overall not a very good experience here. Restaurant seemed clean and staff was friendly. That is about the extent of my positive comments. Our waitress was nice, but our drinks were empty the majority of the time we were there. My husband and I both ordered different burgers. The burgers themselves were very good, but we each received a small handful of fries... and I mean maybe 10-15 fries. When our food came out, we asked for a refill of my tea, and some ketchup. After about 5 minutes we got my refill, but my husband actually had to go and take a bottle of ketchup off a wait stand. When it came time to pay the bill our drinks were empty, and the waitress did not even ask how our food or experience was. We will not go back. read more

Went to Applebees tonight. We sat at the bar where there is a bartender so you would think the service would be good. Unfortunately the service was terrible. Our bartender was literally sitting at a table with a different customer while our drinks sat empty on the bar. The manager brought our food out and noticed the empty glasses and he did say something to her so she came over and filled our drinks and then went straight back to sitting at the table We ordered the pretzel appetizer that comes with cheese sauce. The bowl of sauce was almost empty and they offered to bring more if we wanted to pay for it. I guess I dont understand why they use a bowl that appears to be empty rather than using a smaller one that looks full??? The steak i had was cooked right and all of the food met my expectations. I used to go there all the time and the service was awesome. Their employees were friendly and smiled and made you feel welcome. Tonight we felt like we were an imposition. I'm not going to lie, I was pretty surprised when this Applebee's location had such poor reviews! Strange since it's constantly one of the busiest places in Nixa. I've lived here my whole life and would agree they've gone through their ups and downs through the years, but over the past 5 I would say consistency and quality are the best they've ever been. It's a chain, so maybe people forget that. We have really great service every time we're there and dinner is comparable to any other ruby Tuesday or random chain. read more

This is why we'll never be back to this Nixa MO Applesbees EVER again! We thought we'd give it ONE more try, but NOPE! We're done!! We stopped in yesterday about 3:30pm, and just decided to sit at the bar, since it was slow. There was only ONE table with 2 people sitting there, a couple of off shift emplyees at the bar, and one lady at the bar with food. We figured, great, we're hungry, we won't have to wait!! WRONG!! The bartender asked us what we wanted to drink, and got my husband a Miller Lite draft, and I just got water. I'd gotten an email about the 3 course meal deal, and it sounded good, so that is what we both ordered. He said he'd get our salads right out, and off he went!! We watched him over at the register, where we assumed he was putting in our orders and we waited..... And waited... He went about cleaning, doing side work etc., talking to the people at the bar. He did stop at one point and went into the back to get the food for the ONE other table, and took it over to them. Then a cook came out from the back, and I heard the lady say to him "Oh, so you're the boss today eh" and we watched him entering something at the same register our bartender had entered ours in. Our bartender came over to him and we heard him talking, and the cook said something about no sides being entered. It was MY order!! So, this is about 20 mins in now, and STILL NO SALADS, and here we hear our order is JUST NOW being put in??! He then got a phone call, and went over to take that order. Which, I have to say, took WAY too long! I SWEAR the man was in SLOWWWW Motion!! Still NO Salads even and hadn't even come back to see if we wanted anything else to drink!??! My husband had now finished his beer, and the new bartender is just coming in, so he asked him how much a beer was. He replied "Um, 6 something I think, but let me clock in real quick and I'll let you know." Our bartender was nowhere to be seen at this point!! When the new guy came back over, we told him just to check us out and we'd pay for the beer, but we were DONE! It was more than 30 mins in now, and NO salads even, we were DONE!! He said, "Let me go let them know" and went into the back. He was gone for a bit, then came back out, but avoided us! A couple of mins later (About the time it'd take to whip up two salads) our bartender came back out WITH salads, but like NOTHING at all was wrong!! NOPE!! We told him KEEP it, we're done, and just let us pay for the beer and we'll leave!! He said, "Well, if there is a problem, then don't worry about the beer! It's on me!" Like he was doing us a FAVOR or something?!? So we said fine and LEFT!! I'm done! If this had been the 1st time, we might not have been so annoyed, but it's not! We've been in, off and on, and seem to have SOME issue EVERY time. Either it takes FOREVER for food, or they get it wrong, or worse. This was IT! We won't be back!! It's sad. This was one of the absolute worst experiences I have ever have! We dine out a lot and have never had such a horrific experience! Porsha, "like the car," was our waitress who volunteered to take our table of 11 and she was horrible!! We waited over an hour for our food and it was not busy, nor did we have a difficult order. Once our food finally began coming to the table, Porsha brought half of it and disappeared to serve other tables! Another waitress volunteered to finish up retrieving our lunch for us and between Lacy and another waiter, we finally got our full order; one of which was supposed to be endless wings. The wings were cold, one of the burgers was cold, the nacho cheese was congealed, none of the other burgers had the correct toppings, they brought us nearly empty ketchup bottles and our drinks weren't refilled well. We were to be somewhere an hour and half AFTER we got to the restaurant. Due to the horrible service, we were half an hour late to our prior commitment! We had to literally chase Porsha down to not only get our check but to pay it!! She felt it would make things better by taking $10 off of our check and not charging for our sodas. If we had as few morals and cared as little as Porsha, and later the manager as well, we would have just walked out on several occasions! Once we finally got the chance to talk to the manager, he proceeded to filter through receipts and cards while we talked. He then walked away!! He finally returned with gift cards to come back! Good food. Good service. Took my 8-yr-old daughter here as a compromise (I like Mexican, she likes cheese burgers). We both found something we liked on the menu, the server was sweet and attentive, and we played a word guessing game on the table's tablet for only $1.99. The staff greeted us coming and going. I don't recommend this. If you want to be ignored and pay for subpar service, by all means. The manager even took our order because the only waiter was ignoring us. This was at about 4:30. I sure wouldn't want to be there in the middle of a dinner rush. Then the manager ignored us also. We weren't even offered dessert (not that we would have bought it.) We don't eat out a lot and customer service really makes a dining experience. I think I'm going to call the corporate offices. Sucks!! Never again!!! read more

I never really write reviews, due to the fact that I understand mistakes can be made, nothing is ever going to be perfect, and for the most part servers usually show some care/effort in their work. I came to have dinner with my family, once we were seated we were not greeted by our server for well over ten minutes who then took our food and drink order and shortly after brought us our drinks (this would be the last time that he ever came to our table). A different employee brought out our food, which was fine, but then we were never seen or checked on again by one single Applebee's employee. We sat with our drinks empty for the entire time that we were there, our server never even came close to our table for us to get his attention. We sat for another ten minutes or so after we had all finished our meals and still no one. So I proceeded to get up and go talk to the manager whom was standing at the host stand and described to him our experience. His response was "I know, we got busy". He was not apologetic, did not look to resolve the issue, and made it very apparent that he did not care. I asked if he could at least get us a box and our check, and his response was "you don't have to wait on your check, you can just pay at the table with your card" and never gave us a box. Yes, I understand that you can get busy. I understand that sometimes you get bad service because restaurants are shorthanded. What I do not understand is how you can call yourself a "Manager" (the one in charge of the business) and not care about customers when they are pointing out something you need to pay attention to and continue to ignore it. I wonder if this review is ever going to make anything better. If someone within this corporation does care I dined with you on 11/03/16 at 6:00 pm.
