It makes a lot of room to be seated, and you can see people on the other side in some places, for conversation. Pool tables appear to be in good repair. Fall might bring a chili cook-off, winter maybe a small charity drive -- each one another excuse for the regulars and newcomers alike to gather, eat, drink, and remember what community feels like. KJ Brewskies isn't trying to be anything more than what it is. It's a good bar -- honest, lived-in, alive. A place to forget the headlines, to talk about nothing important, to exist for a few hours without explanation. Places like this are getting harder to find. There is stuff on the walls, there is really cool stonework and plenty of spots to sit to enjoy friends and family. The food is solid and freshly prepared. My chicken was hot/fresh, served with fries and was good. I got their Galloway Chicken Sandwich and I was thinking it was going to be a bit bigger, but it did the trick. The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful when selecting a drink. We sat at the bar our first time and chatted with Logan while he made our drinks. He answered all of our questions and shared all kinds of neat information about different liquors and drinks. It was so cool to watch him craft all the different cocktails! You can tell he is very passionate. We learned that he also teaches cocktail classes there on the weekends. We haven't been to a class yet but want to! This last time, we decided to try some food as well. The food was okay but cocktails is definitely where they excel. Overall, an incredible place for craft cocktails.
